Altight so we're going to be setting up new rules soon that will be posted by tomorrow night, no pokemon will be banned anymore so we will be using tiers instead.

Yes however it depends on what tier you're up against when battling a gym leader, if they are in the UU tier then your team has to be as well, it has to be the same or lower...I think still working out all the details ^^"

Ahh I've heard of this tier thing.
It's like a list of pokemon that fall into a specific branch/level how ever you wish to seperate them.
Most legendaries fall in the Ubers tier I think? I dont really uderstand where they got the names from, but what ever lol.
I've seen it somewhere before. xd
Edit: I think I'm going to stop training all together, I really dont want to train a whole other team just to battle someone in a different tier lol.
I dont even know what mine fall in. eek

well, i run my teams balanced, say for running against any tier. we do this at gaming club at my college, quite fun actually.. mrgreen

I believe the tiers are figured out by how high the pokemon's base stats are.
Since most Legendaries are powerhouses anyway. Most of the late level 3rd stage evolutions can also be considered Ubers, like Dragonite, or Tyranitar.

Smogon has a tier list. I posted the various tiers in the suggestions thread. Each tier is updated for the generations, and has a list of the Pokémon in them: Sentama Lin It seems that the banned Pokémon listed in our Rules are part of the Uber tier of Smogon; and Celebi (OU), Jirachi (OU), Phione (NU), and Non-Skye-Forme Shaymin (BL) have been moved to the standard metagame. Smogon's official website no longer has a banned list, and most of our banned Pokémon are now part of the Uber tier. Personally, instead of a Banned Pokémon list, it may be better to use the Tier system ( Uber, Overused [OU], Borderline [BL], Underused [UU], Never Used [NU], Limbo [L], and Not Fully Evolved [NFE]) and have the standard matches here use Pokémon in the OU tier and lower. It's a better way of keeping matches balanced, I feel, than simply banning certain Pokémon. Actually, while stats do play a part in it, Arkie, the tiers are more based on statistics and actual usage in competitive tournament play.

Ok everyone, we really could use all the help we can get to recruit new active members. So if you know anyone that enjoys pokemon weather its battles or trading or even roleplaying please refer them to the guild. We really need guild activity to go up, I'm going to be sending out an announcement to all our inactive members letting them know they need to participate more.
So please help the guild out, the more active we get then the more tournaments and league battles we can do too.

Alright, so there's a new Art/marketplace subforum up. If you're thinking of making a sprite shop, or trainer card shop, that's the place to stick it, so it won't get lost among the other threads.
Also, if you're the artistic type, feel free to post up what you've done for the rest of us to see.
