The End, KISW, The former Buzz, The Wolf, and a few other radio stations are all owned by the same company. When Howard Stern left KISW for Sirius, The company made some major changes. The Buzz and KISW were merged, The Wolf took over the Buzz's old airwaves.
Howard Stern was being broadcast all over the country and most of the stations that dropped him were trying to pick up a big name to replace him. Most of the West coast stations picked up Adam Carolla. However, Stern's spot at KISW had already been filled by BJ Shea from the Buzz, so the only spot for the corporation to stick Carolla was on 107.7
Basically, It's a clear cut example of corporate execs ******** it up for average people.
I work on a morning show, Morning Sickness, on 89.9 FM KGRG, and we're WAY better than Adam Carolla.

The reason I used to listen to 107.7 was because I hate morning shows. In general the last thing I want to do at six o clock in the morning in the dark and rain of winter is listen to ANY idiot yammer about idiotic crap. And I like alternative music. Since no name would play lots more music in the morning than anyone else, and was local so talked about local music and shows etc in the alternative music scene that's who I'd listen to.
Now, I listen to a classic rock station "The Eagle" 97.7 because they don't have a morning show at all.
Seriously The End has completely lost my listening to them until 10:00 every morning. That might not mean much to them since I'm one person. But that's the way it is.

A friend was talking about you with someone else (honestly, I can't remember his name, but he was from KGRG), and he was saying what the morning shows were and all that.

Those new END commercials erase any doubt from my mind that Adam Corolla is a mental douche bag.
