Chirper let out an indignant squack as electricity ran through him. Chirper turned around, glaring at the rattata with furious brown eyes.
"Blu! Swablu!" The swablu hissed at the rattata and flapped his wings, attempting to get rid of the static in her wings.
Luna mimicked the flailing movements of her pokemon "Calm down Chirper, caaaaaaalm down!" Panic in a battle would get them nowhere.
Chirper did not seem to be willing to listen though, too engrossed in his anger. The swablu kicked up another clod of dirt at the rattata, hoping that it would smack the smaller pokemon in the eye or somewhere equally painful.

Chirper's anger must have lent him extra strength as the mud smacked Ratatta in the face and instantly knocked her out. She thudded to the sandy ground, her only movement the breathing in her chest.
"Oh... Penners..." The battle done, Cab did not hesitate to rush to her Rattata's side. She scooped her up and rubbed some of the mud off with the end of her sleeve. "Oh, I've failed you again."
She remembered then Luna. She gave the Gym Leader a respectful nod. "Thank you, Luna. I must be off to tend my pokémon."

Luna fished out Chirper's pokeball and withdrew her angry bird before he decided to try to peck Penners again or Cab.
"Have a safe journey!" Luna replied, giving Cab a half wave before turning around and returning to tend to her own gym.
