Today Citrine and Allon met Wren and Hawk.
While Allon and Wren had tea, Citrine and Hawk got to play together.
Citrine does seem to enjoy playing with him, and i don't think Hawk minds it to much, though he might never admit it...
Wren explained how shadows were importaint to Allon, and i think it made him only care for her more. It was an enjoyable meeting. Citrine would like to play with Hawk again, as she thinks he is nice.

Citrine and Allon are inseperateable. When its time for sleep, Citrine would nest in his hair, little misty tendrils waving around like kelp in a calm sea, both of them falling fast asleep.
But waking one morning, there was no little stone asleep in his hair, but a small child asleep in his arms. What a suprise that would have been had he not recently talked with Wren. Allon tried to hold back his supprise anyway and keep from waking the young Citrine... for he knew if she was a ball of energy before, but now she would be an even bigger one.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/Kipestshin/AllonandCitonknees.jpg

The night was a beautiful coldness, and liquid dark for the first time in months. This was a perfect night. A night to kill.
Allon pulled tight the leather chords that laced his chest armor on. It gave a soft creak as it setteled into its well worn places. For the rest of the night it would be silent. Citrine hovered closer, curious of what her bonded was doing. All she was picking up was a tinge of excitement with a whole lot of need, whatever it was, it was sure making Allon happy.
He glanced over to her... he was itching to kiil, the need that was building up wasn't good for eaither of them, and he wasn't sure if he should bring her along. His inner debate was over as soon as it started, the moment she snuggled up to his unbladed arm and rested her head on his shoulder. She accepted who he was. He would not leave her. Ever.

The air was a refreshing chill. Being indoors in warth made him slugish, but natural stimulation like this brought him back to life. Citrine was as silent of a partner as he could ever ask for, he wouldn't have even known she was there himself if every inch of his soul wasn't grafted to her. Both were now inseperatable and wicked. Allon wanted a good sized kill, one with meat and blood. One without family around. He didn't want to have to rush. Walking down the streets in a smoothness that gave snakes a run for there money, the tap of his shoes was bairly noticable, pacing like a heartbeat with the night.

Citrine kept with his pace, almost getting sidetracted with every new sight. The way the yellow streetlamps rimmed off the cool metal mailboxes, discarded newspapers and trash that just hadn't made it to a garbage can. Then and oppertunity presented itself. Both Citrine and Allon's heads snapped tot he direction of conflict. This would be it.

A woman made the mistake of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. A larger man, his features were to much in shadow to make out as he advanced on her in an ally. He wanted what she had, cash, jeweley, anything his meaty possessive hands could grab. The woman pleaded in incoherent sentences to her attacker as he tore at her, he was deaf to all her pleas, unspoken and yelled.

Allon and Citrine moved swiftly to that ally, the attack still in progress. Allon's hair started to rise fromt eh base of his neck all the way up his head, his eyes widening as the blue ice of them locked onto his target. The man didn't know he was already good as dead, to caught up in pawing greedily at things he did not deserve.

The woman screamed for help seeing what little of Allon she could, giving away his possition, but killing a man in the back would have been to easy. Not that he was much of a threat anyway. The attacker turned with anger at being interupeted. his anger quickly turned to a face ripping apart itself in shock and pain... he hadn't seen the beast of a man move... he bairly felt the fist that was pressed into his gut... and the blade inflicting a mortal wound sticking out his back. He didn't hear the woman scream as she was showered in the mans blood.

Allon didn't hear her scream either, the adrenilline rushing through him was deafening him with his own heartbeats as he twisted his blade, ripping it out the man's side, spilling his sick smelling intestines onto the filthy alley. And then it hit him. Citrine had been picking up on that unmatched joy, and it overwhelmed her... her own joy was smultiplying his ten fold. And he wasn't expecting that rush. It brought him to his knees. His eyes matching the dead mans in there popping expression. The woman wanted to thank her 'savior' but in her heart knew she was next on the list and ran... ran without looking back. Allon was to overwhelmed to catch her. His body was shot. His heart racing so fast he felt like he would never catch his breath, such elation. The alley was growing darker as he started to black out in this rush of pleasure, the only thing he could feel was Citrine. She was pressed against his back, in equal estacy. Every nerve was on fire, he couldn't feel the blood he so loved on his hands, or the crispness of the night on his skin, it was all gone except her. He ripped at the armor on his chest like and animal, feeling like his lungs would burst. Finally the night had its turn as a freazing breaze needled into his exposed chest, bringing him back into this reality.. with a buzz like he had never had. This one kill more statisfying to him then when he wiped out a whole town in one night. God.. his eyes locked onto the heavens, and his hands over Citrine's. Her arms wrapped around him from behind. If he could live in this moment forever he would, but it would be a short life. It was just to much stimulation, sound started to return to him, first his raging heartbeat, then his labored breathing. He stayed in that pose, with his girl's mist kissing his bare back for what seemed like hours.

Citrine was a bit more stable, she had channeled what would have burnt her out into Allon. The rush fromt he kill though... was something she liked. Something she wanted. And she would want more. Much more. Such joy liek this she had never felt but always wanted deep down. The blood hanging in the air, and the darkness melting everything that touched it, and her Allon. It was all perfect. By the time her bonded's legs were working again, as well as his mind, the evening was ending. Allon knew that Shadows disliked direct light. and he was to much on a high to want to ruin it in any way, and he would never want Citrine unhappy. He left the dead man where he lay, instead of hiding or burning the body like he normally did, and he didn't care. Allon and Citrine left that ally of death and headed off to find a place to stay out of the sun.

Finding a place out of prying eyes, Allon wrapped around Citrine, much like a cat with a mouse. He pulled her to his chest and towered over he, his breath still harsh and deep from the events of the night. Allon was unbeliviably strung out from such an emotional rush. It would be hours before he started to calm down, his body locked in the same postioton around Citrine. She didn't mind, and wouldn't have it any other way. This joy was for her.. and her Allon. They were together. They were happy. .. and that was one more down towards their goal.

User Image A day or so had passed since that kill. Their first kill together. Allon's nerves were almost back to normal, but his body was exausted. Citrine stayed by her bonded, floating and snuggling with him as he had recovered from the recent events. She had even practiced her pouncing skills on bags that had floated into the shadows, and the ocasional newspaper. Citrine was expecially proud of herself when she managed to scare an almost geriatric rat towards Allon. It took a lot of weaving and trys, but she eventually got it close enough for him to grab and kill.
It was his first meal in a while, and he ate every bit. Allon's senses were now comming back on line, as his stomach was reminded it was hungry once it tasted the meat.

"... you are ready to leave this place... arn't you my... angel?"

Citrine's eyes smiled at him as her emotions told him that she was quite ready for new things, as she hovered like she had rolled in sugar. Allon pulled his body up like it was full of sand and rocks, making a frightening sillouette. After a few minutes he was able to stand, and taking in a deep breath the world seemed to refill his energy. His angel took his arm and rested her head against it. All was right in her world. She and her Allon were back on the road, and the night still had a few good hours left in it.

User Image Today Citrine got to meet Mystic. They got along fairly well. Citrine accadentally flung a fork into him ^_^' but he didn't seem to mind. Allon got to have the privilage of playing translator. Mystic and Citrine will have a makeup day someday, as she is very much looking forward to it. She adores his shadow cloak, and played with it for quite a long time before becoming tired, and curling back into her bonded's arms. It was a short but pleasent meeting.

"hnn? what is this?", strong hands reached out and wiped across leather, "these-"

Citrine didn't wait for Allon to finish his half awake rambling. Images of stores around him where they had stopped for the night flooded his head, the emotion of her excited curiosity, the thrill of the hunt for clothing, all raced in his mind. Citrine smiled at him, she had been gone quite a while last night, but wasn't far from him ever. She hadn't even had time to do her lipstick, as she enjoyed doing.

"... you want me to wear these don't you?"

Citrine nodded to her bonded, and he knew better then to say no. After a good streatch he pealed out of his old clothes, most of the dry blood from days ago had chipped off. He smiled when he picked up the new shirt. He knew Citrine loved to touch and cling to his arm, so it wasn't a suprise it was sleaveless. He pulled it on, and it fit like a glove. This would take a bit of getting used to, he couldn't help but think, not that it was a bad change. After a moment he tried on the pants. Tight leather with laces, not something he would have picked, but, he wouldn't let his Citrine down. He put back on his glove, sash, and shoes. Citrine was very happy, and inspected him, like he a bride. Her brow furrowed for a flash and she looked around on the ground, comming back with a spiked belt, which she helped him put on. Finally, she seemed content with her Allon, though he was a little less impressed, but he would humor her.

He tossed on his mask and went to stuff his old clothes into the wall of the closest rotting building, and was suprised at how much lighter these new ones were, and there range of mobility. But now he wore far fewer layers, and the cold morning chose to remind him. He would need a coat sometime, but for now Citrine's smile warmed him in the place he needed it the most, and would keep him warm the rest of the day.

Allon met Athan for the first time today. It was a breif meeting, over jasmine tea. Citrine was a bit alarmed since she hadn't seen Athan since he released her and she snuck away. So she hid behind Allon. Athan only smiled at ehr and promised to not take her away, much to both her and her bonded's relife. Allon learned about how he and Citrine are linked together, and that she will one day grow up. He also learned that if something unfortunate happens to Athan, it could very well hurt Citrine. So he will kill him another day... there is no rush.

User Image Dreams. Something Allon rarly had. The man would fall to sleep, and just darkness would take over. Not a cold darkness, but not a warm all enveloping one either. Just darkness.

Ever since Citrine and he joined, he had started to become much more nocturnal... moreso then he had ever been. The sunlight made her hide, and he knew how much she loved to explore. So they would both wait until nightfall to wake. Black dreams turned into the darkness of night. Allon only waking and moving durring the day when they were not safe.

It had been a day where ever he picked to rest, had been an unwise spot, and caused him to have to move himself and Citrine throughout the day, granting him very little sleep. Maybe it was his becoming used to the night, or knowing how light would hurt his Citrine... but he shyed away from it too. Finally ending up in one of the many neverending crappy allys of the city, in a bad part. Here they stopped to rest. Allon knew he had too, or once his girl was awake, she wouldn't let him sleep. It was a big world out there, and full of things to mess with and break, and she would want blood today. Not the stray animals they had been practicing on, no not this time. She would want the blood of flesh he didn't eat. Human blood.

Allon hadn't even realized he had been asleep when he was very abruptly woken as a woman fell on him, sounding a lot more delecate then she felt. Her elbow dug into his ribs deeply as she scrambled to get up. The scent of her blood already in the air. He hadn't heard her comming with those stillettos of hers, he hadn't heard the pimp beating the s**t out of her minutes before, or the bloodleatting slap she had been given, and to him that was more disorentating. He blinked again clearing the confusion, quickly looking at his chest... and not seeing Citrine. He bolted up onto his feet.

Everything froze. His heart. His pulse. His blood turned to ice.

He let out a scream. Not some high pitched shreak of terror, no. This was a scream, a howl. A howl that would shake the creatures of Hell itself. A challange to anything... to fate to set things right. it was a short howl, and by the time it was over, his Citrine was clinging to his back. Out of sight of the prostitute and her pimp.

Citrine was shaking. She had just been wandering around the ally, staying close to her sleeping Allon, who didn't wake and she had bounced and pounced on him playfully. She had just been hunting mice, and playing on the paint caked steal fire excapes. The scream didn't startle her, it was the feeling. Had her Allon thought he had lost her? ... that she would leave?

The prostitute started yelling things to Allon and her pimp. Yelling obsenitys and threats at her boss, and offers of money and heself to Allon to keep him away. Now fully awake, his Citrine safe with him... he snarled at those that woke him. The pimp advanced towads Allon, fronting an overkill of additude. Enough to scare off any man. But him. And he wasn't in the mood for games. The stress of shock needed to work itself out, and it did with a flash. The pimp was still yelling words faster then a cattle auctiouner as he was split groin to jaw with one motion. The only movement the man made was the sick disloging twist Allon gave his blade. Soft drips of warm blood falling onto the pavement. The woman was speachless. Hard to belive the man was dead, and if she hadn't been watching, wouldn't have belived it. Such speed. So quite. Candles made more noise when they went out.

Allon's ice blue eyes locked onto the woman. A whore. He had killed a few, usually he avoided them. Unless they were in there appartments. No one should be left behind. He advanced towards her, his teeth instead of his blade sank into her neck. A soundless scream excaped her. Light blood crossed his lips, covering the cigarette smoke that clung like spiderwebs to her hair.

She didn't stop him. He unbuckled his pants. She spread her legs, what she passed as a skirt hiked up. He pulled down his pants just enough, but before anything could happen he felt sharp pains in his back. Nail? Claws? Citrine had his attention.

He released his bite. He wasn't paying attention to her any longer, dispite her flattering lies, and her hands rubbing on his chest. Citrine was unhappy. She was upset. She was angry. Allon didn't argue with her. He caught the woman's hands as they passed his navel.

"No."

His voice had an odd possed timber to it. Was it his words, Citrine's, or both? It didn't matter, she did. Allon wanted out of there. It was Citrine controlling his feelings. Even the air was making his skin crawl. He released the woman's hands, her flesh felt like burning to him. Citrine didn't want him touching her at all. He would have nothing to do with her, his Shadow decided for him, and what she wanted... she got. Allon didn't look back as he walked away, pulling his pants up and buckling them with one hand, Citrine on his other arm.

-------------------

Later that evening, sitting on a well worn old couch in the room of a couple he had just killed, Allon held Citrine in his arms. This kill had gone much better, and had been enjoyable.

"You... were jealous wern't you?" His voice wasn't snarky, it was a flat question.

Citrine looked at him with those big, beautiful, unblinking eyes of hers.

"... was it her?... or anyone?"

Citrine looked down a bit, fidgiting with her fingers on his chest, tracing over where the woman had touched him earlier. She looked back up at him, her feelings of confusion, unsureness, and possessivness made themselves known. She wasn't sure how her precious Allon would react. She had nothing to fear.

"... if thats how it is," he stroked her hair lovingly, "I won't take another, as long as I have you."

Citrine looked at him, and finally smiled as her Allon took one of her little hands and kissed it. Allon cared for her deeply, and she knew it. She felt a bit bad for being greedy... she should have at least let him kill the woman. They both relaxed. He rarly stayed somewhere where he had been killing, but the appartment was a nice warmth, the sagging couch started to feel softer and softer to him, his eyes held there blinks for longer and longer. Citrine made heself comfortable on his chest, hugging him. Allon smiled as his eyes shut for the night. And for some reason that night instead of black dreams... they were a comforting yellow... his Citrine.

User Image Citrine has started to develop a taste for tea drinking... which is a bit difficult without a mouth. After pouring her first cup all down her, it was decided she could just pretend to drink. So now if you are having tea, she will be quite put out if you do not offer her any... even if it just an empty cup. Is this a personally quirk from her past? Or perhaps something she is picking up from her Allon?

(picture soon)

One of the people who had helped Allon through the devistation Lucian had caused him, was now bring up an old pain.

Xen had gone missing. He had obviously left on his own will, but there was something very bad about this. He had cut contact with those he cared about, which was very few. This was unusual.

A man had been hired to track down Xen, and he came across Allon first. Citrine didn't mind, it was just another person for her to play with, and he flattered her.. so she minded even less. The man was someone Allon had met before, and had no reason to not trust him. As the man talked, Allon only felt more and more like it was his fault things had gone wrong, not that he would change what he did. Allon's choice to go on with his life was not the wrong one, he just didn't know Xen wouldn't take it so well. Neither were good with goodbyes.

More importaintly it also brought back a very... very unplesant memory. The time Lucian had dissapeared, and he was unable to find him. He had searched for months, and in the end, it was someone else who returned him. Not Allon. He couldn't rescue the one person he loved in all teh world. His heaven on earth. His Lucian.

Citrine could feel her bonded's stress rising, and flitted about not sure what to do. Allon went pale, his arms folded over each other, and his nails digging into his flesh... he didn't even realize he was bleeding. Did this man want him to help look for Xen? He couldn't. He wasn't good at finding people. He had failed finding the one person htat mattered the most to him, how would these be different. He tried to lock it out of his mind.

"I can't find him... i'm sorry," Allon's voice was distant," I'm sorry.... I'm sorry..."

The man didn't know what was wrong, he didn't mean to hurt Allon, and tried to convince him it wasn't his fault, that he had no reason to be sorry. All Allon could say as he shut his eyes tightly to keep from crying, was that he had to go. He wasn't in a good place.. his mind already miles away. Citrine darted to Allon as he started to walk away, but she didn't touch him. His eyes were swollen red, makeing the blue seem to burn. After walking for a while, to nowhere in particular, he sat down, not doing much better. His arm still bleeding, Citrine a bit upset he was compleatly ignoring her, she tried to stop the blood by covering the wounds with her little hands. Allon didn't notice.

Citrine became distressed. Her Allon was so very sad. And he was ignoring her.

He reached down, not looking at her, or really anything, and brought her to his chest, like how she liked to be held. She stopped making a fuss, his sadness sedated her. His tears fell silent on her, and she didn't care. Citrine just wanted her happy Allon back... she felt like her heart was breaking. Why did this feel so new?

-------------------

Allon wandered aimlessly, not paying attention to anything around him. The sun had been setting, so there was no worry of sunlight hurting Citrine. But that was more chance then choice, Allon was much more tamatised by earlier events then he would have thought... his focus miles away.

They passed by parks, houses, places of business... he just kept walking. Soon the sun was gone, the night expecially dark. There was just a sliver of moon one could make out between the cracks in the clouds. A mouse scurried into an ally, Citrine darted to foolow. Allon didn't stop her. She wanted to catch it for him... to make him happy. A gift for him. She smiled to herself and moved faster and faster after it, past people in various states of undress. It knew it was being hunted and ducked into the fist place it found, a backdoor.

It was the door to a hole in the wall stripclub bar. Citrine seemed unaffected. Allon saw her duck in the door and out of sight, his eyebrow arched a bit curious to what she was up too. He chose to go in the front door. The bouncer was preoccupied arguing with some wasted fool, and Allon strangly seemed good at avoiding attention. It was a dirty place, like most places that gather the same crowds night after night. It gave the back alleys a run for there money. But no one cared.

He looked around for his Citrine, wishing its smelled more like almost anything then stale vomit, he stopped carring after a minute. There were two women on stage, they wern't new to this and there moves and face showed it. Then he saw her. A struggling mouse was clamped in her hands, as she sat in a corner of the stage, no one was looking past the bouncing tits so it was quite. He made his way over to her, getting stopped by a woman doing the floor for lapdances. She gave him a good grind and an overworked wink. He twitched a smile to her, but when he didn't start offering cash she walked off. He didn't care.

Citrine was watching the women, but mindful of her present for her bonded. She relaxed and felt warm and sleepy, this place was nice... almost familier. Her nap was interuped by the change up of strippers. One stopped dead. The woman screamed. She thought Citrine was a ghost. Security came running.

Allon didn't think before he drew his blade, parts of the closest bouncer sprayed over everything, folowed quickly by the next, and the next... Patrons and staff alike were fighting to get out of that place. Allon sliced through them like butter. Floor to ceiling ran red. The place was small enough it was short work. The screams had covered over Allon's mantra that everything would be okay... that they awated heaven. That they should be happy.

He shut the door, anyone in earshot had cleared the street, or was to wasted to care. His attention snapped back towards the dancers... and his Citrine. One woman was left, she was absolutly frozen in fear. She couldn't comprehend what had just happened, the entrails of numerous people decorated her. Allon went to bring his blade down, Citrine darted to stop him... something urgant in her feelings, but it was too late. Her blood hit them both.

Allon turned and looked at Citrine, both of them a bit confused. What made her different? Citrine looked sad, Allon touched her face with a bloody hand. Neither spoke, both unsure what to say.

This night was just not going how he expected. Citrine held onto the mouse, which was now exausted from trying to excape, she didn't hand it over to her Allon... for a long time. They left that den of death out the back door and faded from the sight of anyone who might recognise them.

User Image Allon looked down at the little mouse holding Citrine, she looked sad. He tried to forget the earlier events of today, realizing how he had neglected the one closest to him, and now she was troubled. He took her into his arms and gave her a smile. She flashed a smile back to him before going back to her thoughts. He started to lick the blood off her cheek to clean her, and she smiled more at him. Unable to shake that odd feeling, but now a bit more happy, she looked him in the eyes and tried to stick the mouse in his mouth. He opened wide and let her. She stuck it half in, and he bit down breaking its neck. The little flailing tail fell limp, and he smiled at her. It had been the only kill of the night they were both the happiest with.

(Xen story pt 1) comming soon.

(I have apparently misplaced the file to what heppened... so you get the worst summary. sorry)

Allon finally agreed to help Xav. He couldn't shake the thought that Xen was in trouble, and it was driving him crazy. Xav tracked down Xen and brought Allon to help him retrive him. Xen was hording himself away in a cave, it was ina very cold and snowwy area. Allon and Xen had quite a heated yelling at each other. Allon refused to leave his Citrine. Xen just wanted to lash out at everything and everyone, and Allon was putting himself in the line of fire. Xen attacked Allon with torrents of icy and snowflecked wind, insisting he gave up trying to bring him back to a world he hated.

(Xen story pt 2) comming soon as well. XP

(again, see above.)

Allon was freezing himself to death trying to get to Xen, his outfit not being the most warming. Citrine dosn't like Xen, and dosn't like how he makes her Allon feel.

Allon passed out standing up of hypothermia. Xav transported him back to somewhere warmer and helpped make sure he recovered. For a while Allon couldn't move his legs very well, but suprisingly fully recovered without loss of limbs.

Xen came to see what happened, and of course Allon and he had their same problems, but Xen stayed with Xav, and Allon went on his way, knowing he would never be able to make Xen happy until he killed him. Something he was waiting to do... for now.

User Image Citrine does very much love to visit the jewelry store that Athan runs, as Shadows tend to be there as well, as well as one of her favorites, Mystic. She had made 'tea' earlier (which consisted of water, dirt, and worms... to which she was quite proud of) but Athan had been away, so he was not so fortunate to get a cup. When he did make his apearence, Citrine tackled him with much enthusiasum, coiling around him like a misty scarf she enjoyed him, asking how his day was, and why he had missed her tea. The lovely Athan talked of his travels and he produced a small silver charm bracelet with tiny bells on it, to keep her from looking curously into his sleaves. Citrine was estatic. She adored the fact it was from her, was from Athan, was shiny, and made noise. The little shadow quickly ran to her poor bonded who was resting, and proceeded to wake him up while trying to show off her gift. User Image
Allon, hardly awake, smiled at her, the joy she was feeling pulsing through him softly. Citrine had her bonded put it on her as a necklace, which took him a few tried, but asfter that she zoomed off to show Athan how beautiful she was, as he had told her beautiful ladies should have beautiful things... and she thought her gift was rather lovely. After 3 seconds of bombarding poor Athan with her enjoyment, she zoomed off to find Mystic, who she knew was around. This let Allon get a chance to wake up, as well as be alone for a few minutes. Citrine carefully held her bells shut and shouted (as best one can do without actually being able to shout) for Mystic. Allon made some tea, licking his teeth and half wondering why his mouth tasted like dirt. He had downed one of Citrine's teas half awake, and never noticed the worms. But for now he came out with a peachy vannilla tea, and two cups, one for himself and the other for Athan.

'so.. i hear you have been traveling' Allon spoke as he poured Athan tea. Athan spoke of going to different worlds, collecting jems and trinkets. Perhapse because Allon was still half awake his brain didn't click into the fact Athan had pluralised 'world', because he didn't stop the man as he spoke to have a brain collapsing moment. Allon asked if they were regular jems, or ones like his Citrine. To which Athan answered both. Allon had never much looked at jewelry, and now didn't look at it the same way. He asked if there were many like her, to which Athan nodded sadly, and then offered to Citrine's strange protector a small charm that would glow when detecting a Shadow.. or a strong magic user. Allon eyed him warrily, but thought it over for a bit before speaking, asking if he could return it to Athan at anytime. It was easier for him not to abhore it that way. Anything involving magic andd mages made the hair on the back of his neck stand up, though it seemed the fact Athan was quite the magic user and Citrine not at all natural had excaped him. Athan didn't mind the 'borrowing' at all, and didn't seem to mind the odd help he might get. Allon took the charm and tucked it into his arm wrap, not noticing the glow as it was handed to him. It was a very lovely blue. Allon finished his tea and continued to talk, he spoke about how he and his girl should be leaving soon, but how they were always bound to be back, because once Citrine got it in her heart that she wanted tea with Athan or Mystic or Hawk, she wouldn't stop thinking about it until they did. And now he had another reason to return... incase he found something. The bushy haired man stood up, as he went to go collect his Citrine he stopped, and reached into his wraps, producing a jerky looking mouse, to which he set ont he table. Citrine would be mad at him if he forgot to give the mouse to Athan. The poor man tried not to laugh as he took the gift. Allon also placed half a lizard in the same state on the table, it had been for Mystic.
User Image Citrine had managed to fine Mystic as soon as Allon and Athan began there conversation. She gleefully showwed off her gift, and he couldn't help but smile for her. Citrine promised to find him a pretty, since she thought he was beautiful too. She melted against the Shadow and purred contented as she asked how his Reyna was, and if she was beautiful too. Mystic spoke kindly of her, and talked about bringing Citrine and her Allon to meet Reyna and her family. Citrine was overjoyed, that sounded like quite a lot of fun to her. Eventually Citrine lay there relaxed and happy, as she was petted by Mystic. The two were terribly cute together in a brother and sister sort of way. Allon came out after finishing his tea and leaving the jerky animal gifts to collect his precious. It was time for them to be on there way.

(whee group RP ^_^)

Athan was feeling quite unwell and to make matters worse he wasn't feeling quite.. himself. A testament to that was his lack of robes and rather 'normal' appearence. He hadn't quite branched out entirely away from his typical attire as he was still wearing all black, but the constant flowing black robes were most definately missing. He also appeared pale, and drawn and perhaps a bit too thin. These traits typically weren't nearly so obvious with his robes swirling about him, but it was almost painfully obvious now.

His bright green eyes at least still held an eerie sort of glow, but he knew that if Reyna were present she'd likely send him home. The good news was, the woman had requested the day off to care for her daughter. Mystic's jumbled reasons behind Sam's sudden illness hadn't entirely been comprehensible, but the Shadow had seemed rather beside himself with worry over both his sister and his bonded. That in itself weighed heavy in his mind, but it was hard to focus on any one given thing what with how his temples pounded.

He grumbled and pressed his face into his hands as though to urge it to stop but unfortunately found no relief. It was a pity modern medicines had the tendency to make whatever symptoms he might have worse. Then again, it had been a long time since he'd attempted such things and there had been quite a bit of progress in the medical field since then.

Squinting his eyes opened through his fingers he idly decided to rummage through Reyna's desk to see if she had any sort of aspirin. She seemed to eat it like candy when she had a migraine which was fairly often.

Allon let out a heavy sigh as his dear Citrine dumpped an armful of rocks and sticks into his arm.

"I think... that should be more then enough" Allon spoke, his arms already holding a reasonable ammount of stuff to bring to Athan.

He had only been collecting things that had been touched by magic, a small charm alerting him by glowwing that he had found stuff. Citrine, not wanting to just bring such a small offering back to Athan, had started collecting things off the ground as they traveled, and now her bonded had told her to stop. She added just a few more leaves before inspecting the pile, and content with herself, she stopped adding to it. Now, they were off to Athan's shop. Citrine buzzed around estatic.

New to the area, he decided to browse through the shops on a whim when he stumbled across the jewelry store. He almost past it up as he was truly and honestly on his way to get a cup of coffee at the cafe down the street, but really... how could ANYONE pass up shiny things? Certainly not a man that was in need of something shiny to make a certain lady friend not be nearly so angry with him.

He stepped into the shop with a jingle as he swung open the door in a rather comical fashion. "Hello!" he greeted with a bright grin and a small wave.

The dark haired man visibly winced at the sound of the door chiming to alert him he had a customer. Pain was not something he was so found of even if in some warped sense he was used to it. He did at least have enough courtesy to smile and nod in greeting to the cheerful young man. No need to scare off customers, particularly if they were interested in shopping. He was a business man after all, and a damn good one in his opinion.

Even if his last business deal had gone terribly awry. He frowned at that as he glanced at his hand. There was a rather terrible gash across his palm that was covered by gauze and tape. Perhaps the medicine would help with that hurt as well. His expression lightened somewhat when he came upon the small bottle of pills. It rattled lightly in his grasp as he fished two of them out after reading the directions.

"Just let me know if you need any help," he offered as he once more nodded courteously towards Ezra.

He stood from his seat behind Reyna's desk to go and make himself a cup of tea to down the pills with before stopping midstep. A small smile quirked at his mouth. He was going to have visitors, and not just that of customers.

Citrine swirled around her Allon, the little girl positivly wired that she was getting to go back to the jewelry shop. Athan always spoiled her, and now it was her turn to return the favor.

The odd duo approched the shop, Allon's ears perked to the noise of a man inside. Citrine, not noticing or carring barged through the door. 'ATTTTTHAAAAAAAN!!!' the little shadow squealed out, then abruptly stopped. What was this? Someone else? Had he stole her Athan's robes? Citrine's glare darted back to her bonded, who was finally beside her. 'GET HIM!' she told her bonded.

"Shush...." Allon told her softly, "It's okay."

Ezra nodded faintly in return towards Athan. What a polite man! He grinned and went on admiring the various peices of jewelry locked up in the glass cases before him. Pretty nice loot!

He glanced behind him before his eyes widened suddenly. Whatthehellwasthat?! A GHOST? No. Not a ghost. Something else. He blinked rapidly and adjusted his glasses on his face and peered at the creature curiously before glancing away. Best not to stare and irritate her, particularly since he hadn't the faintest clue (well.. he had a slight clue, but he was keeping that info to himself) what she was capable of.

Athan chuckled quietly despite how Citrine's squealing truly only worsened his headache. "Hello, Miss Citrine," he greeted her warmly, "And Allon. Good to see you both." He couldn't help but snicker under his breath at the Shadow's antics. "No one has stolen my robes, dear. I'm simply not wearing them today," he assured her before he continued his way towards the back room to grab himself that cup of tea he'd been after.

He was gone only a brief moment, as it wouldn't be polite nor a very wise idea to leave customers wandering up front without any sort of assisstance available to them, but he did return with an extra cup for Allon and an empty one for Citrine. He wasn't foolish enough to exclude her, afterall.

"And what mischief have you been up to here lately?" he asked coversationally as he popped the two pills he'd been holding onto into his mouth and washed it down with jasmine tea.

Citrine still eyed the man, 'Who are you?' she floated a bit closer too him. Allon, tried of hauling around the pile of dirt, he left it on Athan's desk.

"Ehehehe," was all Ezra could manage as her leaned back against the glass of the case he'd been peering into. "Uhh.. I'm a customer? I'm here to buy stuff!" he declared before marching up to Athan's desk.

"Sir! I'd like to buy that gold locket in that case over there!"

Athan smiled and shook his head. Perhaps he ought to have Citrine antagnoize his customers a little more often if it made them purchase things. He set his cup of tea down on the table before idly scooting a bit of the dirt and twigs out of the way so he could do so without it toppling over. Really, there was no telling what that was about. A 'present' from the little lady, no doubt.

"The heart shaped one with the diamond cut designs, or the plain oval one with the Italian gold chain?" he asked as he headed towards the case. He laid his palm against the surface of the glass as he idly squinted down at the redheaded man. He looked familiar so how. Not so much his looks but his mannerisms. Odd. Reguardless of his thoughts on the customer, the glass faded away beneath his fingertips to reveal the sparkling jewelry contained within it. Handy little spell, that. And so subtle!

He retrieved both lockets from their display and held them up for inspection. "Which do you think is better, Citrine?" he asked with a smirk toying at his lips.

Allon let Citrine wiggle out of his arms and over to her teacup and question. 'Better? but they are both very lovely', she spoke, 'Athan sells the best stuff! I like them both!'

Allon smirked and shook his head.

"I definately agree with you there," Ezra spoke up with a sunny smile, "I've been to quite a few jewelry shops and this one is very nice, indeed. The quality is lovely and something the designs are absolutely breathtaking! Most people haven't an eye for design whatsoever. It's quite refreshing to find someone who does!"

He fell quiet for a brief moment as he squinted over at the lockets. "I'l taaaa~aaaake... the heart shaped one! It is for a lovely lady, afterall."

Citrine looked up at the customer with her big eyes. 'She must be very beautiful. Athan says lovely ladies deserve lovely things,' she smiled with her eyes as she showwed off her jingly charm bracelet, 'Athan gave me this and said that.' Her wispy 'tail' wagged.

"She is indeed!" Ezra beamed before adding with a playful wink, "Almost as lovely as you, dear lady!"

Athan arched a brow at the man's compliments. He was almost a bit over the top and overly dramatic. Really, he hated to be stereotypical but he couldn't help but blurt out -- "Are you an artist?"

He squinted over at the man for a long moment before heading towards the desk to ring up his purchase at the register after carefully placing the locket in a small, velvety box.

Allon eyed the man a little bit closer, but didn't look it.

Citrine giggled, enjoying the compliment, she dashed back to the safty of her bonded's arms and snuggled on him like a scarf. "Yes, you are lovely... I heard." Allon shut his eyes with a light smile.

"Why yes! Yes I am," the man announced, full of pride as he handed over a wad of cash to the man to pay for the locket. "My portfolio consists primarily of sculpture and the occasional abstract painting when I'm in a painting mood."

He leaned comfortably back against the desk and watched Citrine. What an odd little creature! But charming. She had an interesting aura and she positively reeked of magic.

"Mm. Perhaps you should stop by some time when Reyna is here," he murmured quietly as he took a seat behind the desk after handing over the jewelry box in a small bag boasting the shop's logo, "She's the ah... resident artist here. I'm sure she would love to chat with you about artwork."

Or perhaps just rip his head off for irritating her, but.. that was a risk Athan was willing to take. He smirked despite himself and reached for his tea. Okay, perhaps the medicine was affecting him in ways he hadn't anticipated. At least his head was feeling better.

Citrine was liking the man, he knew a good thing when he saw it and was nice to her, she floated over to the pile which looked like it was out of a campsite and picked up a twig, inspected it carefully, and brought it over to him. 'I am Citrine... this.. is for your lady. she handed him the stick like it was a very prized thing.'

Ezra stared at the little ghost-girl-thing as though she had lost her mind. A stick? How, pray tell, was he supposed to give his girl friend a stick and live to hear the end of it? He blinked before smiling charmingly reguardless. No need to hurt her feelings! He knew better than to incur the wrath of a lady almost TOO well.

"Thank you!" he said instead of one of the many smart a** comments running through his ickle little brain as he graciously accepted the stick.

Athan simply watched the man interact with the Shadow with a bemused smile on his face. It was apparent he had a wicked streak and somehwat delighted in the fact that his Shadows unnerved people and created chaos in general. It amused him in all honesty.

"...how many of those things did I take?" he muttered under his breath as he hunted for the bottle of aspirin to read the directions one more time.

Citrine was used to being humored, so she didn't think twice about giving him what she thought was valuble. 'My Allon carried it aaaaalllllll the way from a mountain! I picked it out.' She danced in the air, 'It was for Athan.. but prettys deserve pretty things,' she smiled.

"I whole-heartedly agree!" Ezra smiled, "Which is why unfortunately, I must be going." He bowed dramatically for Citrine and headed towards the door. "As my lovely lady is waiting for me and I must present her lovely prize to her!"

And with that, he exited through the front door as he waved over his shoulder with plans to return and perhaps investigate the shop a bit more.

Citrine waived goodbye to the man.

Allon cracked his neck and stood up, walking over to Athan. "are you... okay?" he looked at him a bit oddly, something was tickling his nose... he wasn't sure what it was.

"Mm.. not feeling too well, actually. Just a headache, though. Took some medicine for it, but I'm not so certain I'm feeling better because of it," he answered before trailing of for a moment to squint over at Allon.

"But speaking of pretty things," he murmured quietly with his eyes closed for a moment as he leaned against the desk to prop himself up with one arm. He squinted blearily over towards Citrine and smiled. "I've another gift for you."

He pushed a small box across the desk with his bandaged hand, through the dirt no less but he was far too out of it to really notice, that was strikingly similar to the one he'd packaged Ezra's locket in. He leaned back gingerly in the chair but braced himself with one hand against the desk to keep the room from spinning too much. No more medicine. Ever. He'd be damned if he tried anything else other than healing spells and herbal remedies.

"It's a charm. For your bracelet."

Citrine snatched up the box quite excitedly. 'For me?!' she looked inside it like it was a bug ready to excape. 'It... is so pretty!!! thank you!' She showed it off to her Allon, then sat on a counter to find the PERFECT place to put it on her bracelet.

Allon smiled at the happy Citrine before turning his attentions to Athan, he took the man's hand to see his tempeture, the bandaid wrap rubbed against his fingers, "You hurt yourself?" Allon brought that frail hand to his nose, and froze. His puples shrank to pindots. The smell of blood was faint, but the smell of MAGIC was flooding his senses. He jumpped back, but was still gripping Athan's hand. "wha-what the hell?!"

Athan said nothing and simply smiled in a somewhat delirious manner. "Don't looked so shocked.. or have you forgotten what I technically am? Or did I fail to mention it. That's likely, too," he muttered as he watched Citrine play with her bracelet and new charm.

"And for the record, I did not hurt myself. Someone did it for me. A merchant I was dealing with was trying to swindle me out of money by not giving me the stone I had been promised in return," he answered with a groggy yawn.

Allon was slowly crushing the man's hand as his brain tried to work things out. "You... are a mage?!" the word was poison to him. His eyes went to Citrine, who was starting to feel odd through her bond, but was too caught up in her enjoyment of her gift to get the full extent of what her Allon was feeling. His hand let go as he kept his other one in check from killing Athan. He didn't forget Citrine could die if he did. How did he not notice. Allon stood there a few minutes silent, then spoke "A man hurt you? ... where might I find him?"

Citrine figured out her place and darted over to show Athan, then noticed her gift pile was ignored. 'SEE!? My Allon and I brought you gifts!' she was trying to turn attentions more towards her stuff.. and away from whatever was going on between her bonded and Athan.

He winced faintly as Allon crushed his already injured hand. He could very nearly feel the bones grinding together and needless to say it wasn't pleasant, but he didn't dare try to jerk away. "I detest the term mage, actually," he replied smoothly as he idly picked at his bandages to assess the damage, "And prefer not to be called as such. As quite honestly.. those that typically refer to themselves with that .. label, I find to be absolutely ridiculous."

He chuckled quietly under his breath and shook his head. "Allon.. I'm merely an old man with a knack for magic tricks that have very nearly run out," he laughed outright as he wiggled his fingers of his injured hand to make sure nothing was truly broken. "This man is.. well.. he might be in the area soon. He typically has a booth in an open air market just outside of this town. You'll know him if you run into him," he went on as he slouched in a very uncharacteristic sort of manner in his chair, "He ought to have traces of magic on him still unless he found a way to break through the curse that I laid on him. Plus.. he has a noticeable gash across his right cheek from my sword."

Athan fell silent before looking up with a grin. "It'll leave a nasty scar."

He turned his attention away from his discussion with Allon to give it to Citrine who was so obviously trying to obtain it. "Thank you, dear. For your lovely gifts."

Allon was stiff as stone, but stood far less agressivly then he had been. It was lucky he had Citrine, or Athan would have been dead. He tried to ignore what he had felt. The smell he had tasted was different then other magic users, it was older... less plasticy almost. "Heh... I'll keep an eye out for him. " He cracked his neck again.

Citrine wagged her tail. 'My Allon found things that were magical! like this stick! like this rock... well... all these stones...' she continued to ramble, sorting the pile out and making more of a mess. 'I added some other stuff so you could have even more!'

Athan smiled over at Citrine before reaching to pat her atop her head in an affectionate manner. "I appreciate the gesture," he replied in a quiet, groggy sort of voice. It was certainly a good thing it was nearly time to close up shop. He wasn't so sure he could resist the rather negative affects of the medicine he took. It was doing terrible things to his senses, and he realized that he probably should not have said what he had said to Allon, but it was a bit late for that.

"I will have to take a closer look at it all when I am feeling better," he told her, "Though I'm sure you've brought most excellent specimens to examine."

Citrine grinned, proud she had brought something in for him. While she was still dancing in the air, Allon scooped her up and held her to his shoulder, giving her a tighter hug then normal.

"It's getting late, we should probably be going." he said. The sun would be up in a few hours, and if they had hopped to make any progress, the had to hit the road before that.

'Awwww.... we will bring you more pretties Mr. Athan,' Citrine wiggled but couldn't excape.

"Yes... I hear there is a jewelry store outside of town that we just must see," Allon spoke as a sick grin spread across his face. "Take care." The two turned and left. It was rather cool outsite, a nice feel.
