Its definitely old. But its still a good Anime. Don't think it will sell though. As a lot of people who are the casual Anime fan don't really know about it.

Well, Cowboy Bebop has reached classic status in my book, so even though it's really popular and liked by many of the otakus, I don't necessarily think people are looking for things from this series any more. : / It's about the new/flashy/sexy/CG now.

More suggestions off the top of my head (sorry if it was mentioned already):

Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei
Vocaloid
Smash Brothers characters
Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid
Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney

Oh! If you're doing all yuri/yaoi, shonen/shojo ai then Macross Frontier would be a good show. Hell, you've got Alto who can be paired with anyone. Or Luca. He's easy to pair too. And Ranka and Sheryl make a nice pair. Or Ranka and her best friend who loves her in a sexy way, Nanase. (Nanase also has a fabulous rack!) And the show it pretty big right now.

Actually I was totally thinking Cowboy Bebop (so old -sigh-) But with an amazing storyline and even more amazing art, Bebop is in a class of its own. I just think it will be hard to sell because it's so easily recognized that many people want it as it is....no changes.

I think for "newer" animes: Clannad, D. Gray Man, Full Metal Alchemist, something along those lines.

For something slightly different Tegami Bachi is a good one. The art is really funky though...I love it but I tend to be a minority.

Yeah, you know I've heard of D Gray from several people before and I saw a ton of Doujinshi of it at Kawaiikon xD I've never read it though.

Maybe we should open up an issue of shonen jump and shojo beat and see what have been running for a while. :O that's an idea too.
