I hated history in school, but find I enjoy it a whole lot more now. I love the idea of a thread for and about the history of Ireland. My hubby is actually far more up on the history of Ireland than I am, though I've done more reading on the spread of christianity through Ireland and from Ireland through other parts of the world.
I'm looking forward to any cool bits of history anyone cares to share! biggrin

I know a little(lot) on Brian Boru(where the O' Brien namesake comes from) but i don't have the time to type it out. If people want to hear it I might be persuaded to write it out.....Lol.
