Still won't happen. The same s**t has been assumed in 1999, 2006 and now 2012. People can't see into the future. Those who can need computers. Something the Mayan's didn't have. the Mayans have used a life is cyclical approach to it and before you say anything about them not knowing they predicted their own downfall to the date hundreds of years before it happened. They didn't use a system that used the scientific method that could predict the end of the world. That $500.00 bet is still open if you want to take it.

The Mayans didn't predict the end of the world. The world doesn't end the day after December 31st on our calendar, does it? It's no different with the Mayan calendar, just that their calendar is on the scale of thousands of years.

Despite the fact that there is no proof of it going to happen. every time a cycle ends something happens and when its possible it does happen and with constancy the Mayans never predicted the end of the world their calendar simply implies that something of great proportion will happen the last time the cycle we are on ended was the kt event.

All I know is that time itself isn't affected by what a rock or paper or digital calendar says... it keeps on going regardless of what humanity says will happen. As for the shift in consciousness, I kinda hope it's real, but it's like believing the location of the stars affect your personality... which is what the zodiac is based on, and I do believe I posses Libra traits.. so there could be something to it.. but I just don't know.

its better known as the extinction of the dinosaurs it was a mass extinction in witch nothing bigger than an average house cat survived and i would love links too but most of my info is from professors who study history.
