Cody only continued to smile as he felt Edes lace their fingers together. So far, so good, he supposed. The teen hadn’t run off or demanded to be taken home or anything yet, so he had to be doing something right… “Come on, let’s walk around. Might even find some cool looking shells,” he murmured into the sloth boy’s ear, chuckling softly as it twitched. Gently tugging on the spawn’s hand Cody led his boyfriend, god he loved that word, along the beach just out of reach of the gentle waves that crashed into the shore.

Cody laughed, a genuine laugh, at what Edes said about the shells and what they should do instead. It certainly sounded like his boyfriend to suggest such a thing as playing in the sand. Then again, who was he to object to something the boy suggested that wasn’t completely out of the norm or against his morals. Which, now that he thought of it, were fairly warped in perspective. “If that is what you wish, then sure, we can play in the sand.

Cody's eyes snapped to where the cat call came from, narrowing dangerously. How DARE someone interrupt their date?! Nearby, he spotted someone flash him a short nod and before the interruptive teen could so much as run was dragged off to be dealt with out of sight.

"No, no. It's fine now. The idiot's gone so we don't have to worry about him anymore," the boy assured, eyes still scanning the area for anyone else that might have snuck past his "guards". With no one in sight the boy's eyes returned to the spawn next to him. "We're alone here Edes, no one's gonna bother us."

Cody nodded, disappointed a bit that Edes couldn't fully enjoy the sand just because some idiot had to ruin their date. "Alright, whatever makes you most comfortable. And a castle? Sure, sounds fun," he replied, looking around for something to help make their castle. Seeing not a whole lot other than shells and sticks, the greed spawn pulled his wings back as tightly as he could without hurting them and crouched down.

"Hm, what kind of castle you want to make? A tall one or a wide one?" he asked, not really artistic enough to get fancy with it. Or want to anyways.

Cody could say he was in heaven just being with the spawn and believe to his dying day he was telling the truth. The spawn may be girly in almost every aspect, shorter, and far shyer, but that had to be what drew the boy in. The sweet innocence just kept calling to him, for him to hold the boy in his arms...

His daydreams were suddenly shattered at Edes' words. "Hm? Oh... It is. Then I guess it's time for me to show you the last part of our little date," Cody replied, sending a signal behind the boy's back to someone hiding just out of sight. As the two rounded the corner, a fairly cozy and romantic-looking horse-drawn carriage sat waiting for them.

"It can only take us back to where we parked. But from there I can get us home. Does this suit you, m'dear?" Cody asked softly, gently squeezing the sloth spawn's hand. He hoped it was, otherwise it was going to be a loooong journey back, no matter their way of transportation.

Cody laughed at Edes' excitement at the carriage ride. "It wasn't easy, that's for sure," he replied, letting loose a soft oompf as the boy tackled and hugged him. "You're welcome. I'm glad you like it," he added with a chuckle. As they got inside, he gave a short nod to the driver who immediately urged the horses into moving.

It wasn't long till they were heading off down the road, the beach and park their only scenery. No buildings or cars seemed to pollute the magical romantic scene Cody had managed to orchestrate all for the sloth boy that sat next to him. "So Edes, you enjoying our date I planned out?" he asked, already knowing the answer that the teen was sure to give.

Cody smiled and wrapped his arms protectively around the boy as he snuggled closer. The same memory flowed fuzzily by, only a few details revealing themselves clearly within his mind. "Good. I'm glad you liked our date," he muttered happily.

It didn't take a genius to notice how much he cared for the little sloth spawn. From organizing the date to the minute to protectively cuddling him and threatening anyone that dared touch the teen, either he was a crazy stalker or madly in love. Whether or not he'd admit it was a different subject, however...
