Pippin smiled slightly, "That's cool. I like her a lot. It's neat we have one of the same friends." he was slightly quieter now, wondering if he was too perky, or talking to much. He always felt like he was doing something slightly wrong.
"Sorry, I'm talkin' a lot..." he said softly, looking down at the ground and trying to stay quiet.

"No, it's okay." Shylock assured him, lightly patting the other boy's shoulder. "You really aren't blabbing too much." After all, the boy had met some heavy chatterboxes in his life. Pippin was actually pretty quiet.

"Really?" Pippin asked. He had always perceived himself as rather annoying, so even the idea that he wasn't was welcoming. "I feel like I'm talkin' a lot and you're not." he laughed shyly, for once speaking his mind. That was certainly a new thing for the young boy.
"So um... what sort of stuff do you like...?" he asked quickly, trying to get the other to talk so he didn't feel as obnoxious. At this point it would take a lot for the young boy to feel good about himself, but at least if the subject was turned away from himself he would feel a bit better and more secure.

"That's just because you're self conscious and I don't have much to say." the older boy assured him with a shrug. "And I like video games, playing around, stuff like that. How about you?"
(we should wrap this pd at some point. I think we're losin the point of it XD)
