Txur hadn't known there was a tradition of meeting Eywa before becoming an adult. What had people done recently, with Eywa gone? Did that mean they weren't real adults without the meeting? Or was it that there were no adolescents who had to perform the ceremony right now, and so it didn't matter? He was glad that he was too young to have to worry about that. He hoped the mother goddess would be back by the time he had to do it. He wanted to be as much a part of the pride as possible.
"I can be patient and wait until then, I suppose," Txur said.
He wasn't the most patient of cubs, but he was willing to be patient for the goddess. How could he be anything else with such a personage? Besides, he had lots of practice being patient with his siblings. He loved them all, but all of them had their little habits which required patience from others. He wondered how his father, and especially the lionesses in charge of watching them, managed sometimes, and what his little habits were.
"Do you think - " He broke off mid-sentence, suddenly remembering that he and Atan were supposed to be with the other cubs, being cared for. Not that they would be in any danger with Zelt'zin right there, but they weren't supposed to be there, and their minders would probably worry for them. Particularly him, since he seemed to have developed a habit of not being where he was supposed to be. Maybe that was his little habit.
"I'm sorry, mother," he said to the lioness, "but my sister and I are supposed to be with the cub minders. We don't really need to be minded, but we're meant to be and I don't want them to worry about where we are."

Atan looked up when Zelt spoke of the trees….could she hear them one day to? “I do hope so…it must be nice to meet Eywa.” she said before turning back to her when she responded to her question. “Oooh really? That would be great!” said Atan happily as her tail wagged a bit. She might be very, very lazy. But she knew in her heart that she loved Eywa, even if she has never met her before. She just…it was just a feeling that made her have intense love and loyalty, to a being she has never met. But of course, that was the way of the pride. And she believed in the way of the pride as much as any other member did.
“I…don’t know what I would pray for.” said Atan as she looked down for a moment. She really wasn’t sure what to pray for. She wasn’t going to pray for a mother who left her and her siblings, so what else was there to pray for? She had everything she needed right here after all.
Atan hadn’t really given much thought to the fact that they had run off when they were suppose to be watched. They were with a responsible adult anyways, so what did it matter? She didn’t really show the surprise that her brother showed when he realized it, and frowned when he said they should go back. “Aaah Txur but we are having fuuun! Why spoil it by leaving? It’s not like we do anything with the cub minders and our siblings. I would much rather listen to more stories…” she said with a bit of a pout. Leave it to her brother to spoil all the fun…

Zelt'zin looked at the two cubs and listened to them she was really into what they had though of everything and what they wanted to know. She would happily answer anything that they wanted and also anything that they needed help with. She was very much always curious on what they were going to say next. She sure was -not- ready for her own cubs but yet she liked to be around them and liked to spend time with them. They were the next generation and she sure did care about the the next generation.
She was a little surprised at the fact that the one cub was quick to go but yet she understood for sure. Then when she turned around she looked at the other cub who wanted to stick around. She couldn't help but to chuckle slightly. She flicked her hair out of her eyes and stretched her legs standing up and stretching her legs once more. She shook her head and chuckled a few times before shaking the leaves and dirt off of her coat. She then looked down a the cubs before grinning. "Well little ones I don't want your father or your cub sitter to go and look for you guys and not know where you are." She laughed slightly shaking her head before nodding at the two little ones.
"I'm really sorry I do have to go back to patrolling." She told the little cub before nodding. To a point trying to make it easier for the little male cub.

Txur turned to look at Atan with an expression that very clearly said "See? Time to go." He turned very quickly back to Zelt'zin, however, and regarded her with his pale eyes very wide. He was, in truth, reluctant to end this meeting. It wasn't often that he had the opportunity to speak to the more important lions in the pride - he hadn't realized they would be so nice, though he didn't know why he would have thought otherwise.
He would have liked very much to linger and ask her more questions about their goddess, but she had just gone on to make sure he would be able to get his sister away, and so he couldn't very well ask her any more. His ears twitched this way and that as he tried to convince himself to get off his butt and start heading to where he was supposed to be.
"Thank you, mother," he said. "I am glad you were able to take time from your patrol to speak with us."
He looked at his sister once more, trying to determine whether she would be willing to leave now, or if she would require further encouragement. Unlike some of his siblings, he knew he couldn't easily motivate her by proposing some sort of competition, and so he was at a bit of a loss. He decided in the end that the most sensible thing to do would be to just start walking and hope she decided to follow, and so he did just that.

“They wont miss us. Not really when they got our siblings to look after…” muttered Atan, her tail flickering a bit in agitation. She was still young, and she would rather hear stories then get nagged by their sitters. But she didn’t really say much after that, seemed like their ‘buddy’ had to go as well…to patrol. Well that sounded pretty boring to, man and the stories were just getting good! Txur could be such a party pooper sometimes! When her brother gave her that ‘look’ she just stuck her tongue out at him in a ‘oh shut up’ manner.
Atan knelt her head however to Zelt as she smiled. “I wish I could hear more, but I thank you for entertaining us with such lovely stories Mother. I hope we can hear more again sometime!” she said before turning back to her brother. She started to walk, pulling ahead of him with her head a tail in the air with a ‘hmph!’ showing she was obviously displeased with him killing their fun. They were still in the pride, they were safe. Just because they weren’t necessarily where they were SUPPOSE to be didn’t mean they did anything real bad right?
