Edmund was wandering back from a visit home with a bag of laundry slung over his shoulder. He was in a pretty good mood all things considered. He'd had a good time bonding with his mom and tending to his garden at home. He reached down, grabbing the handle of the door to his dorm room that he shared with Aiden and swung the door open. To his utter shock there was a girl in there. A girl that was struggling with her top and exposing her breasts in the process. A girl that...
Wait a second, were those Aiden's markings?! Edmund stared. Yes they were Aiden's sure enough. Edmund's mouth fell open as he gaped. He couldn't quite believe what he was seeing. Either Aiden had secretly bee a girl this whole time and binding herself really well or... or he'd jut gotten breast implants.
"You... you're a girl?" The question popped out of Edmund's mouth sounding shocked, but not upset. Just an honestly surprised question waiting to be verified.

Ah, just as she'd gotten herself free, the door opened to reveal the last person she wanted to walk through that door. Edmund. She couldn't help but let out an alarmed squeak as she hurriedly pulled her shirt down, instantly growing red in the face. "E-Edmund I d-d-didn't th-think you would b-b-be back so s-s-s-soon!" Aiden squeaked in response to his question, or rather, his entrance in general.
It took her a good minute to stop panicking, and gather her thoughts well enough to even begin to explain. "N-n-not this whole time I was a boy un-until last night after you went to sleep I mean I figured out I can mold myself and well I got stuck and now I'm half girl?" She babbled without taking a breath, and then realized that she wasn't making any sense. "W-what I mean is right now I'm making a transition! Yes, a transition." She trailed off after that, giving up. Everything just went to hell with this whole "by the way I'm actually a girl" thing she had planned out so tediously late last night.

Edmund gave a slow blink as Aiden rambled on. "Oh..." Well Edmund felt a little better that up until this moment that Aiden had been a boy, and it hadn't been himself that was not noticing thing. Though if Aiden wasn't Aiden and was say.....Gavin, Edmund would think maybe Aiden just wanted to have a pair of boobs to play with or something weird like that. Though Edmund was sure it wasn't that. He walked over to his bed and sat down, letting his bag hit the floor with a soft thud.
It wasn't as though Edmund had never heard of such a thing. His mother had been sure to explain gender identity pretty thoroughly to all her kids. He just hadn't been expecting his best friend to feel that way about him.... herself. Finally after a moment of quiet thought Edmund looked up at Aiden. "So... you were a boy. But you feel like you want to be a girl? So you're trying out how it feels to be in that kind of body?" He was pretty sure that's what was going on but he couldn't know for sure unless he asked.

"Y-yes, except I'm not t-t-trying... I-I've been thinking about it for a-a long time now, so... th-this is going to be permanent... I can't c-change myself back, anyway... I t-t-tried and it didn't work." She sat down on her own bed and wrapped her arms around herself nervously. "I was planning on t-telling you in a better way than this but um... I-I guess I wasn't c-careful enough." Her eyes dropped. She supposed this would be the final indicator on whether he was alright with it or not, so far he just seemed shocked, unable to really have a reaction.

Edmund gave a nod as Aiden stuttered to him. Finally he stood and walked over to Aiden, putting a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "Aiden it's ok..." He said softly, giving Aiden a gentle smile. "I mean yes... it's probably going to be kind of odd for me at first. I might slip up and still refer to you as a boy for a bit, but...I mean you're my best friend. I just want you to be happy, and I'll support you if this is what you want to do." Edmund really was an open minded guy, and really believed that the person inside of someone was the most important thing. If the body didn't match, then it was perfectly understandable to want to change it to make them match.

"R-really?" Aiden's mouth formed a bit of a smile. A weight felt lifted off of her shoulders, she'd been fearing the worst but hoping for the best since Edmund really did seem like a nice guy. "It's okay, I won't blame if you if you slip up." She reached up and gave him a quick hug. "Y-you have no idea how happy I am that you're still my friend, I was really worried that you wouldn't be, despite how stupid a thought that is." She let out a bit of a nervous laugh.

Edmund returned Aiden's hug and gave her another soft smile. He shrugged a bit. "It's normal to be nervous about how people are going to react to a big change. People can surprise you with that. But I'm glad you're happy I'm still your friend. I don't really have any intention of going anywhere your stuck with me." He teased lightly at the end. What he left unspoken is that he didn't want to lose anyone that was important to him again, not like losing Mira.
"So um... if you need to go shopping for clothes or whatever, my brother Kei would probably like to help. He likes clothes and fashion and that kind of stuff." Edmund blinked a moment thoughtfully. "He probably knows how to do make-up too..."

"I'm glad it's you I'm stuck with then, I'm not sure if there's anyone else that would be better." She smiled widely and nodded her head a little. "Well... I will need to go actually get some clothes..." She looked down at her makeshift outfit, which was still meant for a boy to wear despite the colors and designs. "If he would like to show me the ropes I'd very much appreciate it. You could come too if you wanted."

It seemed that Aiden's wide smile was infectious because Edmund found himself smiling widely too. He gave a nod of agreement at if friend's words about her clothes. They didn't really fit her right, Edmund could tell if he looked, though he was trying not to look too long or fixedly at certain new bits of Aiden's anatomy.
"I'm sure he'd love to. He's always trying to dress me and Willow, since we're apparently hopeless." Edmund chuckled a bit. "I wouldn't mind coming too for moral support and all, but.." He scratched the back of his head embarrassedly. "I'm not really good with fashion and stuff." Not to mention he was color blind, so matching clothes together really was quite hopeless.

"That sounds great. I'm not... completely hopeless with fashion but it's always nice to have outside input on things." She nodded a little. "Oh, it's fine Edmund, you don't have to come if it'll make you uncomfortable. I mean, that'd be rude of me to expect that of anyone." She nodded again. The last thing she wanted was to cause her only friend discomfort over a silly mall trip for some new clothes.

"I want to be supportive though." Edmund stated firmly while gazing at Aiden. "Really, it doesn't make me uncomfortable. I just won't be helpful at picking things out is all." Edmund knew that this kind of transition had to be hard for Aiden and he wanted to support her in every way he could. Even if it was just by going on a silly little mall trip.

"well, if you say so, then you're more than welcome to come along. The more the merrier, right?" Aiden smiled a little bit. "Plus, even if you can't see the color you can at least see the style." She nodded, "I definitely don't want to get anything that'll make me look weird, regardless of color."
