" Well it does look like tye dye so yeah i guess you could. And sorry." Roger heard her and he let go of her. He noticed that she was blushing. He could see the bruises and cuts on her and sighed. " Listen lets just say we both know what pain is and call it a day." Roger said softly. He took off his hat and ran a hand through his hair. Looking back at Jinx he noticed something. " Dont you go to my high school?" he asked. He knew she looked formilar.

Jinx sighed at his answer of her tye-dye question, and moved to the chair on the other side of the room thinking he would want space. "Agreed" she murmered softly as she watched him run his hand through his hair, her eyes shifting to the mad hatter style hat. Her thoughts were occupied with the sudden thoughts of Alice in Wonderland when he had asked her another question. Jinx took a really good look at him and then gave him a faint smile, "yeah I do actually, I'm in your homeroom and a few other classes" she said quietly, her eyes once again shift to his entire outfit now. "You must really love hatter" she murmered to herself as she kept looking at him, the blush on her cheeks growing slightly as she stared at him. "But then again you rarely show up so I didn't really realize it was you" she said with a sigh as she tore her gaze away from him looking down at her shirt. She felt really cold, like she was sitting in a bucket of ice as she looked at her shoes. She didn't really know what else to say to him, but she felt something odd when she was around him. "What in the world could I possibly feeling at this point besides pain" she thought to herself as she lifted her gaze to him once more.

Roger was about to say something when his phone went off. " Will you excuse me for a second." He answered the phone " Hello........Sis?........Calm down.........WHAT.......Dad almost did WHAT?.............Calm down you're not making any snese........okay............I'll be there.........Just stay there I'm coming." Roger turned back to Jinx " Is it okay if I leave my sister with you? Something has come up and I feel she is not safe at my house for the time being." Roger said a worry look was on his face.

Jinx waited while he was on the phone, and she grew slightly worried when he seemed upset. When he came back in and asked if his siter could stay with her she was shocked, and had to think for a moment. "I well....I'm not sure it's good but....yes of course she can stay with me" she said as she stood up walking over to him. "Is everything alright" she asked softly, slowly extending her hand to hold onto his shoulder in comfort. "You seem really upset, and it's worrying me" she said softly as she thought to herself, "though I don't know why it is." "How old is your sister, what's her name" she asked biting her lip, trying to understand everything in a short amount of time when she didn't even understand her own feelings at the moment. "I mean I have to stay here and work.....bring her here for now atleast" she said looking around the small room, trying to think of how to clean up blood in a matter of minutes before the librarian saw it all over the place.

Roger looked at Jinx. " Her name is Rin and she is fifteen. Thank you. My dad tried to rape her. She is hiding in my closeet right now." He took Jinx's hand and placed a light kis on it. " Let me go get her I will be right back."

Jinx nodded and sent him up the steps quickly, another blush creeping onto her cheeks as she made sure he left safely. After he had left she ran downstairs and cleaned up the blood, scrubing until her hands were red from the cleaning supplies and water. She was feeling slightly better, and the color had come back to her face finally after the wound in her hand was bandaged up. She looked in the mirror on the bathroom wall as she tried fixing her makeup, hoping the cuts on her neck weren't visible anymore. "God why is my life changing right before my bloody eyes" she thought to herself as she fixed her hair and stuck it into a tight ponytail. She flipped her hat back on, and put away all the books that she had dropped from earlier making sure she left Alice in Wonderland out on the table. She thought maybe she could read it, and somehow entertain Rin to keep her mind off the bad things happening.

Roger came back to the library with his sister." Roger are you sure that this girl will keep me safe?" Johana asked. Juts moments ago their dad tried to rape her. " Of coruse she can. She is tough and she is nice." Roger said pulling Johana close to him. See Jinx putting the books back he walked up to her. " Here is Johana. My sister. Please take good care of her. Here is my cell phone number and she has her cell on her at all times. If my dad calls get out of where you are fast." Roger said handing Jinx a piece of paper with his number and Johana over.

Jinx looked at the girl and gave her a tender, warm smile as she walked over extending her hand. "My name is Jinx, don't worry sweetie I'm here to help keep you safe no matter what." She blushed as the bruises and cuts on her arm showed, and slowly she pulled her sleeves down over her hands until only her fingers showed from beneath the "tye-dye" shirt she was wearing. "Roger where are you going, don't go back to deal with him I don't think it would be safe" she said softly, feeling an odd sensation that made her want to cry at his leaving them alone. She took his phone number putting it into her cell, and then stashed the phone into her pocket before she looked at him once more with glittering eyes. "Please be careful..." she said, and then realized she was making it sound like he was her lover or something. "For your sister's sake..." she added after a minute, hoping he was to occupied to notice her stalling of words.

Roger smiled at Jinx. " Jinx. What a nice name." Roger said. He then decided to do something stupid. He pulled Jinx to him and kissed her. Roger didnt know why he did it but he did it. Johana giggled. " Okay you two stop before we get thrown out." Roger pulled back but didnt let go. " I'm not going to face my dad. I am simply going back home and hope for the best that hes drunk."

Jinx felt her face turn crimson as she was pulled close against him, and suddenly kissed with a passion that caused her to just melt inside. She didn't know why he had just kissed her like that, but all she knew was that she loved every second of it. When she looked up at him she noticed he didn't let go of her, and she looked into his eyes as she still sported a soft crimson blush on her cheeks. "Just....be careful when your there" she managed to get out, her heart pounding in her chest like a drum as his eyes made her melt like chocolate on a warm day. "I....I mean your sister wouldn't want anything to happen to you I'm sure" she said quietly, wondering why suddenly she couldn't stop blurting out things that once again made him sound like a lover to her. "Keep me updated.....and don't let him touch you please" she said, this time looking deep into his eyes so he would understand she didn't want to see him hurt anymore than he already was. Looking over at his sister she gave a small smile, "sweetheart I get done work in about fifteen mintues so we can do anything you'd like after I clock out alright?"

Roger was happy and sad. He wanted to stay with Jinx and Johana but he had to go hame and cover for her. " Dont worry about me Jinx. I will be okay. How about i come over when your moms sleeping....just to check on Johana of course." Roger wanted to keep Jinx close to him and just kill her mother but he knew that wouldnt end well. *l~~l* Johana*l~~l*
Johana giggled. She was happy to see her brother take such an interst to Jinx. To tell the truth she likes Jinx too. " Okay Jinx." Johana saw the Alice In WonderLand on the table. " Jinx can i read this book please." Johana asked with her best puppy eyes ever.

Jinx looked at him with a small attempt at a smile, "my mother falls asleep around eleven so a little after then would be the best time you'd get" she said softly as she continued to look into his eyes. "You can check on her, and don't worry I'll make sure to keep her safe from my mother so that she..." she stopped there, not wanting to talk about the cuts and bruises on her arms at this point. She saw a glint in his eyes, and thought about asking him before it suddenly disappeared. "That was an odd glimmer" she thought to herself, wanting nothing but to stay in his arms forever. When Johana asked if she could read the book she looked over and smiled, "of course hun, it's my favorite book here so I'm sure you'll love it." She was glad the girl didn't seem to mind the sudden change in her life, after all staying with a stranger usually wasn't on her list of things to do either on a good night. Suprisingly the girl seemed to like her, and she was happy that she wouldn't have any problems trying to connect with her on a sister like basis. "Please just be careful Roger" she said, blushing since she had said a name and realized he hadn't given her his name at all during their meeting each other. "I just know it from school..." she thought to herself as she nibbled her lower lip softly looking back at him.

Roger smiled and kissed Jinx again. His brown eyes glimmered with happiness and pure love. " Johana you do what Jinx tells you to do okay Rabbit?" Roger said using Johana's special nickname that he had given her. He never looked away from Jinx. Letting her go he hugged his sister and took one more look at Jinx. " See you later." He said a true smile on his face.

Jinx kissed him back, letting her emotions go as she kissed him passionatly yet quickly. As he let go of her she felt an odd coldness overcome her, and she didn't like it in the least. "I know she will listen" she said looking over at the girl whom she was now protecting. "I promise I'll protect her with me life" she said looking at him as he hugged his siter goodbye, "though my life means little at this point" she thought to herself as she looked into his eyes seeing the happiness and a glimmer of something else she didn't know. "I'll see you tonight then" she said softly and hugged him one last time before she watched him walk up the steps and leave the two girls alone. Turning towards Johana she gave a smile, "so I can assume your hungry, would you like to go somewhere and grab a bite to eat?" She didn't want the girl to be walking around half starved, and she thought it would be a nice way for them to get to know each other a little better. "Perhaps I could even find out more about Roger" she thought to herself as she wandered behind the chair the girl was now sitting in. "Oh and how do you like the book so far" she said with a wide smile, looking down at the picture that was on the page she was reading.

Johana looked up at Jinx and smiled. " I like this book. Now i know why my brother likes the Mad Hatter." She said smiling. " And yes I am hungery. I will pay if you want to go somewhere." Johana said. Her eyes wide and looking happy as a camper.
