As Jake joyfully played with Pippin's wing and hand, Lira blushed softly to herself. While she had never been bad at school, she certainly wasn't a star student; indeed, with her calm and quiet demeanor, she often wondered if her teachers even noticed her at all. Her report card showed her as another droplet in the current of the average; mostly B's, with a few C's and A's showing strengths and weaknesses. Her lack of supreme intelligence had never particularly bothered her, but being called smart was simply a compliment that she had never expected to receive. So she kept her eyes on the books and brushed her finger gently over their spines, speaking softly but with great tenderness. "Th-That's so sweet of you to say, Pippin. Thank you... Very much."

The awkwardness created by Lirona's embarrassment was quickly blown away by Pippin's eager acceptance of her proposal, and the spawn brightened up immediately. She looked back at the younger one with a glowing grin, nodding at his idea. "That's a really good idea! I bet it would help if we get stuck or confused about something! It could be like a book club... thingy." Fishing around for a moment, she pulled out her cell phone, glancing a bit timidly at the boy. She wasn't oblivious to how odd it was to be asking for the phone number of a boy so much younger than her, but it was pure purposes, as she told herself. "So, um, what number should I call you with...?"
