"Your book is interesting," Eve replied and grinned as her eyes fell on a painting style guide book. "The books I've read usually only have a few stories in them." Eve pulled the book from the shelf to show to Lila when she got a chance to.

"These are very short stories. A person lives, then they die, the end." Emery said with a nod, leaning over to look at the new book. "What is it?"

"A book about an art style I haven't tried yet. I'm trying to learn what styles I can," Eve looked at the tome in the bag. "There's no middle to the stories in your book?"

"There's not really a beginning either. The stories are about the end." Emery explained with a nod.
"Do you do much art?"

Eve nodded, "I paint every chance I get. At least if my nanny trusts me not to make a mess."

"Yes, but they're small messes, not big like the ones my nanny hates," Eve replied, remembering her little prank on the poor woman.

Eve nodded, "It is fun though I would warn you about using paint for a prank." Lila shot a glare at Eve for a moment since the woman was still getting paint out of her hair, her hair was dyed partially brown.

"Prank? What is prank?" Emery inquired, looking about as confused as she possibly could, which wasn't much. It involved raising her eyebrows slightly and blinking.

Eve nodded in agreement though her mother did laugh before punishing her for the prank. "Have you done any art before?" Eve asked, curious since Emery had asked her if it was fun before.

Eve smiled though she knew other kids weren't interested in paint. "Where's your mommy?" Eve asked as she knew her nanny was around somewhere and possibly watching her to keep her out of trouble.
