Apparently the way to bag a chickie is to find the ones that are on their own. If there's just one on the screen it a grabber, if there's a few they just talk to you.

I think I got mine when there were other chicks around. I might be wrong though because I was not paying to much attention at the time to everything on the screen.
Also, how do you get the chicks to follow you I could not figure it out.
I do not know how true this is, but when I was on zomg today someone was saying that they killed 3 golden eggs in 5 hours. They said that it pops up every half hour to every hour or so. I almost got to see one, but they killed it before I saw it.

I managed to kill 2 yesterday in just a couple of hours. I think they only spawn in Village Greens and there's usually a whole horde of people clustered round it.
I got a gold ticket for the first time and 8.5k gold the second time. Nice! biggrin

I have only seen the one golden egg, but I'm looking. I want to find the other chicks, I have 4 Churpies if anyone has others and wants trades I"ll do it.
Also I jsut found by freebie grabbing Otami ruins has egg hunting.

I played a little late last night. I'm happy the badge count for eggs from last year carries into this year. I got my 100 eggs badge! I knew I was close! And the eggs can be found everywhere. I had an easy time getting them at the beach since most people were hanging out in the Village Greens or in Barton.
I'm having flashback of egg hunting on the landing pages of Gaia from last year. Why are the eggs even harder to see this year? xd crying

Why are the eggs even harder to see this year? xd crying on the landing pages its harder cause you dont have so many to get where as for the third prize last yr you had to get 500 this year youre toppin out at 50 for the thrid prize, 30 for the second and 20 for the first one!

What is kind of funny a few days ago someone asked for help in getting the chickys. So I said I would help. After about 5 or 10 minutes he finds one and it ends up being chirpy! I think chirpy just liked taunting me.

I have dozens (close) of some of these, nothing of others. I think others hae mentioned after the event helping clan at least getting one of each. But all my doubles and such are up for who ever whats til I'l out. I know churpie is my most caught
