Our band mostly hates the trumpets. They have some of the easiest parts ever, play way too loud, and think they're the greatest. Turns out they can't count and they pretty much suck.

Life's not a fairytale... Agrees with above ^^ Ours is exactly the same way. Percussion too. They can't even read music. Even the low brass suck sometimes >> The woodwinds stand out most in our band <3 Help it come true with donations?
...But maybe some dreams do come true.

I hate the Trumpets! They play to loud, don't count' and it's the end of the year and they don't know their notes. By the way, people talking about the low brass and how like no low brass person can learn a solo; well I can! I play the Baritone and I can learn a solo in one day! I'm only in 6th grade too!

We do have a lot of rivalries between sections in my band...Section shirts say things like "Tuck the Frombones" and whatever. But I think for the most part it's a joke. We have conversations like "oh, remember when 'bones and piccs hated each other?" but no one remembers why. xD

XxFreya_GoddessxX Well the kid that my school hates the most is our Tuba player. You'll hear me talk a lot about this guy in other forums. Loosemore yet again! lol OMG I THINK WE MAY HAVE THE SAME PERSON does he wear pink obssessively and obnoxiously play his tuba before/after/during school? and is he a senior? T_____T

Mellophones.
Actually, I like the people. And the instrument. (I play it, just not in school.)
It's how they're treated.
There's literally nothing they can do wrong.
My director's fine with the fact that out of 5 mellophones, only one plays while moving.
He's fine that they're out of step a lot, and miss step-offs. (And there are 4 seniors in this section)
And when a girl switched from flute to mellophone (which I would never be allowed to do, from trombone, though) They had 6, and because they begged to have a row to themselves in a parade, we completely scrapped a block that we had and are now marching 6 across.

I don't have a most hated section, just a most hated freshman.
Our entire band loves each other and since we're like 50 people, we can all pretty much joke with each other.

I have nothing against instruments, just the people playing them. Our tuba player is the most annoying perverted freak I've ever had the misfortune to meet. Though, a few trombones, clarinets, and saxaphones are kinda annoying too... sweatdrop

I hate no one in our band in fact cause we are so small its like a family everyone knows everyones business and all the sections get along fairly well but the sections

Mellophones. Too light of an instrument. Also, we have6 mellophones, and 1 mellophone over-plays the rest of the band.

I honestly hate the battery. They act like because they have a heavy drum, they deserve special treatment rolleyes At least they don't have to breath and play.

I really hate percussion because of how overly-cocky and rude they are. Seriously? Everyone knows you only play drums because of your obsession to band EVERYTHING. Also, I really hate flutes, mainly piccolos, because I've never known any instrument that is always SO out of tune. Icky.

bandgeekus shorticus Instead of hating a specific instrument, can I choose the drill staff? More specifically my trumpet tech from last year? Our one guy crazy, and our trumpet guy is a major dbag. Then I choose our drum guy. We got a new one thins year because the old one was really mean and used explatives (which was hilarious), and Mathews is the meanest person ever. The entire band hates him.

angel_of_darkness_4000 That_Anzu_Kid_ Sporkzilla Lol in my band our drum major has a hatred on the entire low brass section He's always yelling at us the most and thinks his saxaphones are like perfect it's really annoying since the low brass doesn't even do anything wrong also the drum major tends to like the woodwinds more also -.- it's really stupid since were supposed to be one whole band not just sections Our low brass section always acts like they own the band, if it's a stand chart with no low brass solo they don't learn it, if it is one with a low brass solo, they love it and always try to get the drum major to let us play them. The band director doesn't really care either since he adores the low brass because he was a low brass himself. "it's really stupid since were supposed to be one whole band not just sections" - I must admit, I am VERY suprised to hear a brass type person saying that. It's usually the brass students calling woodwinds unimportant around here. I play brass, woodwind and percussion and was part of the band guard i think if everyone was to learn an instrument from each they would be more respectful towards other sections. I really can't hate on any section. The guard girls are hot, I play the tenor drums, trombone, french horn, trumpet and mellophone, my sister was a clarinet, one of my best friends since kindergarten is a flute player, My 2 best friends are a trumpet player and a tuba player, I don't like or dislike saxes, they're just there, and baritones sound epic.

Becca Rae Hatake Soo at your school are there people that hate complete sections in the marching band? Kids in my school despise piccolo players and people who play trumpet sweatdrop  Ay! Whah chy'all got 'ginst Pickle-Os ? >;l
