Azzo chuckled, "mmm I think everything from old old history is just stuff that's passed from word of mouth and finally written down. Who knows King Richard might be rolling in his grave because we said Prince John ruled England. And made that song about his brother."
He chuckled humming along to a snippet of the song from Robin hood. Too late to be known as John the First, he's sure to be known as John the Worst!
He wrinkled his nose, "Yeah, science might have that but doesn't mean it's any easier to work." He shook his head.

Selena offered another smile, nodding to show she understood. It was like the bible, and all those other religious texts - the age of them meant that they were so hard to believe, just because it was so long ago and was all word of mouth. What if someone had recounted something incorrectly, or said something that could be taken two ways? "It's just speculation," she commented, frowning as she didn't recognize the tune. She never did listen in music either, though.
"I think it makes it easier," she spoke, smile growing a little wider as they got into a subject she was interested in, "It means there one answer, and one way to get there, and you're either wrong or right...y'know?"

Azzo nodded leaning on the table, "Yeah, speculation."
He gave another nod thinking, "Now if only I could actually get the right answers." He said softly picking up the book he had, "Hm... this one isn't of any help." He was flipping it back and fourth. Before looking around pondering. "Wonder which section I should go to...."

...The conversation was dying, wasn't it? Suddenly feeling somewhat awkward, Selena filled it with another of her smiles, glancing down at the text in front of her and flicking forwards another couple of pages. She glanced up as he pondered out loud, blinking once before her forehead creased in confusion.
"What, for help with science?" she asked, unsure of whether he was still on topic or whether he was looking for something else.

Azzo paused and looked at and held up his finger for a hold on a moment. He disappeared quickly into the section where the science stuff was, pulling books off the shelf. Maybe a few too many, it looked like he was pausing to see where they went too.
When he came back he sat down a stack between them and picked up the first book. One of which he picked up more for the comedy of it because it seemed to end up being a pop up book. He grinned.
"More like where to go to get the right books." He said with a shrug.
He held up the book so she could see and moved the page ever so slightly. It had a tiger popping out of the jungle. He snickered, "Aren't these the best kind of books? I mean seriously, who thinks this stuff up?"

...And he was gone.
Had she said something to upset him? Oh no, perhaps she'd been a bit too forward, or hadn't filled the awkward silence quite quickly enough... But then he was back again, with an armful of books, and Selena couldn't help the giggle that escaped her as he struggled to juggle them all. His grin was met by a sweet smile of Selena's, and she suddenly found herself sizing him up a little more. Why she hadn't done it to begin with, she wasn't sure.
He wasn't much taller than her. Rather messy hair in an odd style, but it had some sort of charm to it, and was a lovely colour. Yes, she might have a few friends who would get along nicely with him... Making a mental note not to forget to record this down in her matchmaking diary, Selena's outwardly pleasant, smiling self gave another giggle as she realizing which book he'd picked up. A pop-up book, of, how cool! She shuffled forwards, perhaps a little too eagerly for one of her age. She flicked one of the shapes with another giggle, a firm grin on her face. "They're so cool! I love how the pop out and like...come to life! What's this one about?"

Azzo's hair was almost unmistakeably in the style of dog ears. The fact she was sizing him up, went unnoticed as he brought the books back. The fact she was probably planning on trying to set him up, would also later on go unnoticed. Mainly because that's how he was.
He showed her the title of the book, "Looks like something about the food chain and the rain forest." He wiggled the book again as he flipped through. It was the fact that he 'played' with puppets perhaps that actually normally enticed him towards the younger generation of books and things. He did prefer pictures.
"Like puppets..." He said softly, a bit late but it was towards her comment of them coming to life. It was interesting to watch things one had control over. To fill them with life. "They're soulless till you start watching them. Then it's interesting to see how many happy faces something produces. Like this book." He noted the fact the book clearly had a bit of age on it. Despite the copyright year, which he did look at. The book was obviously loved by child.

Food chain and the rainforest? Sounded interesting. Selena shuffled forwards to look over his shoulder as he flicked through the book, seeming to enjoy the book just as much as Azzo was. She was a naturally childish girl, and had never properly grown up - she still had a teddy bear on her bed, Mr. Happy. ...She hadn't been very creative when naming her toys, as a child.
"Puppets?" she repeated, frowning a little. There weren't any puppets in the book, what was he on about? Somewhat confused, the boy then went on, and Selena gave a slight nod as she slowly began to understand. He was on about her coming to life comment, right? "D'you like puppets, then?" she smiled, seeing the opportunity to push the conversation forwards, and learn something more about Azzo.

Azzo was still playing with the pop-ups when the question sounded he paused, "Huh. Oh yeah, I have a few." He said softly. He actually probably had more than a few, a mix of hand puppets and marionettes.
He tilted his head slightly looking at her, "What about you?" He asked softly watching her for a second before flipping the page. Continuing to play with the book a bit more idly.

He had some puppets? Aww, that was so cool! "I haven't got any," she responded with a shake of her head, leaning in further as she asked, "Can you like...perform with them? Do puppet shows and stuff? Ohhh, can I come watch?!"
Selena's eyes sparkled like a child's, her attention no longer on the flipbook and instead on Azzo, eagerly awaiting his response.

Azzo blinked, looking at Selena, he hadn't expected that reaction. He smiled, "Oh... well... I haven't yet. I will soon hopefully."
He said noticing she was watching him with child like eyes. He was trying hard not to do anything that might be insulting, so instead he grinned. "When I can do shows your more than welcome to come." He gave a soft nod.
Eyes glancing to the time just to make sure what time it was. After all they should get home before dark.

"I'll be your first spectator!" Selena eagerly assured, with the same wide, bright smile. She spotted Azzo's glance to the clock, however, and her brightness faded quickly. Damn...so much for that History paper. And she had a saxophone lesson this evening, which she certainly didn't want to be late for.
"I should be leaving," she sighed, eyes casting over to the empty notepad sitting beside the books she'd collected.

Azzo nodded, "I should probably be going too. Before it gets dark." He said softly with a sigh grabbing the books he'd collected.
"It was nice to meet you Selena." He said with a smile, "I'll be sure to let you know when I find a gig." With that he gave a wave and disappeared back to where he got the books he'd had. The system here wasn't easy but he remembered where most of the books went, so it'd make it easier on the staff.
