Tas listened as the phone rang and a sleepy-sounding woman answered. Silent, he listened to the conversation between boy and mother, still confused on why they would be giving away such a neat item. The half-dragon nodded at Kay's question, glancing down at the skull once again.
An idea seemed to strike him and he reached into his hanging pouch and pulled out some money. "Consider this a tip, then." He told the boy as he set it on the desk. Turning, he headed out of the store before Kay could protest that. There, they could both feel happy. The boy, for whatever reason, got to give the skull away and Tas got to pay (in a way) for it.

Kay couldn't contest the tip, both because it was a tip...and because he was already leaving! Once the man was gone, Kay gave a few moments pause before looking back down at the phone, which was still on speaker.
"Yanno, if he ends up being angry over getting a kid, he could prolly do a lot of damage." He said almost cheerfully.
"....Ugh. Kay. Shut up. Go back to work." The phone went dead, and Kay chuckled.
