Safely hidden by the walls of the buildings, Varete was able to breath a sigh of relief.
"Damn, she's persistent." She muttered, glad for the distraction Serah had provided. Though she felt somewhat sorry for the girl as she had left her in Ms. Suri's clutches.
Well, she could handle herself, righ— Not.
Peering below from a window, she caught the girl shift to her Negaverse uniform. In a fail attempt to grab the woman's starseed, but that wasn't what intrigued her. it was the fact that Ms. Suri seemed to be kneeling towards the girl, calling her captain. Which led her to believe... Well, it didn't matter. Propping her elbows up upon the windows, she rested her face of her hands. Observing the situation with a light smile, she wondered if it would be smart to butt in.
Nah, she would want to interrupt such a touching moment between two officers, would she?
(Oops, forgot to post this last night, sorry! xD)

"Misunderstanding?" Serandite's curiosity was perked-- Had the snobbish teacher come up with a good excuse (which Serandite was determined not to fall for) or did she actually have a good reason as to why her starseed might be off-limits? If the explanation amused her, Serandite considered letting her live a little longer. Her definition of little consisted of the few minutes she would take to laugh over the excuse.
She withdrew her hand. elbows resting on her knees, chin in hands to listen to the unknown lieutenant's explanations.
"Go for it." She nodded, indicating she would listen. At least, listen for a brief period of time.

Suri took a moment to get to her feet and brush the dirt from the back of her lab-coat (ugh, those grass stains would take hours to get out), then glanced around to make sure there was no one else around the grounds. Of course, there had been the errant schoolgirl, but by now she had to have been long gone, or so the woman hoped. The General-King had stressed the importance of not having her identity revealed, which had basically gone along the lines of, 'If the senshi find you out, I'll ******** kill you', so she didn't want to take any chances. However, the courtyard as well as its surrounding buildings remained silent, despite her diligent sweep over the grounds.
Still, ever the cautious teacher, she stepped into one of the open hallways, where there was better cover and some shadows to obscure her face. She took another nervous glance, then closed her eyes and called to her alter ego. With a pop, the prim and proper Suri Ellis shifted to the rugged, leather-jacket-wearing Zircon, her aviators nestled on the bridge of her nose. Solemnly, she returned to her place and knelt on the grass once again, directly across from Captain Serandite. Perhaps then would the captain understand the predicament she had almost put herself in.
"Is this a suitable explanation?" the lieutenant asked, her tone soft and stoic.

"Oh."
"Oh my."
The what seemed to be impossible was possible. When Suri transformed herself into a lieutenant that Serandite vaguely recognized, it hit Serandite like bricks. The negaverse had been so close to her this whole time and Serandite had failed to notice it. Serandite only had herself to blame, for not keeping up to date on the new recruits. If she had pulled out another soldier's starseed-- Well, that would have gathered disastrous and unpleasant results from her General King and Queen. But.. Serandite couldn't quite bring herself to believe that the teacher who had garnered much-deserved hate amongst the students would be an ally.
(DAMNIT, DAMNIT, DAMNIT, that was quite the disappointment. Serandite had really wanted to be rid of her. There would be no chance to now. Serandite couldn't fully express the river of disappointment she felt.)
"Who knew that the demon science teacher would have been a lieutenant?" Serandite said, her eyebrows raised, mouth open in surprise, both hands covering her mouth in a shocked gesture. However, she regained composure quickly and surely, reminded that there was another negaverser extremely close to them. She had better warn Miss Ellis of Varete's affiliation to the negaverse or Varete might actually push the prim teacher to her limits. (She had a habit of doing that. Often.)
"Join me in my room, Lieutenant." She took a cautious look around, before leaping up to the rooftop of the dormitories. She had spotted Varete from a distance, sure that the girl would move away from the window. Serandite swung from the roof to go inside, landing on her bedside.

Zircon had expected a certain amount of surprise from the captain: after all, her civilian identity wasn't exactly common knowledge amongst every member of the Negaverse. Nevertheless, the tide of emotions that slid through Serandite's eyes didn't seem to only reflect shock, and at once Zircon went on the defensive, wondering if she had done something wrong. Zircon knew and understood the pecking order of the Negaverse quite well, and the last thing she wanted to do was piss off one of her superior officers. After all, if you made enemies of them, you never got promoted.
Her eyes narrowed at the 'demon science teacher' comment, but she knew better than to talk back to her betters. Even so, the ever-so-endearing nickname told Zircon that Serandite either went to Crystal or knew someone who did, a notion that was confirmed once she saw the Captain bounding up towards the dormitory roofs. As Zircon dutifully followed, the question changed to whether or not Captain Serandite was actually one of her students. She could only hope that the answer would be 'no': having your superior officer as a pupil could get disastrous in a million ways.
She was still getting the hang of jumping to the tops of buildings in a single bound, so when she landed on the roof, she hesitated for a moment to get her bearings, refusing to look down. The slide into Serandite's dorm was done by mimicking the Captain's actions, but the motion was far less graceful, causing her to stumble forward a step into the room. She cursed mentally at showing any sign of incompetance, then turned around to face Serandite, her posture stiff and formal.
"I'm sorry for the confusion, Captain," she said, her voice polite. "It won't happen again."

She had been tempted to stay and watch this hilarious scene unravel before her but she didn't want to risk being caught by another teacher One was already been bad enough. If any of the other crystal teachers were anything like like Ms. Suri Ellis..
She shuddered to think of the possibilities.
Instead she had taken refuge in Serah's room. How had she found it? It had been easy, she had asked a few girls over at the dormitories. She had been pleased it was relatively easy to find and enter. Unfortunately when Serandite would open her (already unlocked, courtesy to Varete) door, she would be angry to discover that..
1) Varete had picked the lock b) Varete had broken the damn lock in doing so c) She was frantically trying to hide a broken stuffed bunny under the bed.She just managed to throw the blanket on the bed when the sound of voices distracted her. "Oh, hi there!" She said a bit too cheerfully when they entered the room.
As if they had just arrived from a leisurely stroll or a picnic in the park, "How did it go? Did you two have fun?" Varete asked.
