Turning in a random direction, Santheas decided to wander the halls, wrapping his wings around Deskri to keep him warm in the meantime until he gave instructions on where to go. "Sorry I took so long to come back. I barely recognised you. And if it hadn't been for your scent on the wind, I probably never would have come back," he sighed.
"Did Sono return? I do miss my old roommate," he said, but judgning by the smells of the place, Insonorise hadn't returned like Deskri had.
Santheas stopped at the sound from another little Meta, and turned to see one that seemed familiar but not. His grin faded and creased into a frown, "I might be lost, not really sure though," he replied in a nutral tone. This person was obviously a child and he didn't want to look too scary at first. "Deskri just got a little scared and soaked. I was gonna take him somewhere to dry off; do you know where I can go?" he asked.

"It's okay... You can smell me?" Deskri frowned quite a bit, he was sure that he wasn't /that/ dirty.... "No, Sono decided that he wanted to go for bigger things and he's got some research science job..." He shook his head and then turned his gaze to Edmund.
Unlike San he didn't have the presence of mind to try and appear friendly, but he wasn't all that intimidating in appearance anyway so the natural glare on his face really didn't mean much. "I'm not scared...." He protested under his breath, well, he wasn't now that he knew who San was.

Surprisingly Edmund found the fear of meeting the man because he was new overrode any fear of how he looked. Besides, Sun had told him very seriously that you shouldn't judge people by how they look and that you should get to know someone before you judge. He figured she must be right because she seemed to be right about most things. When Deskri glared at him though he dropped his gaze to his feet.
It took him a moment to find his voice again after that but finally he spoke softly again. "I'm sure there's a change of clothes in his dorm...or m-maybe you could take him to the infirmary they probably have towels...um" He tried to think of where else they could go. "That's all I can think of besides home..." He lifted his gaze again curiously and nervously to peer at the one being carried again and shifted his weight nervously. "I'm glad you're not hurt..."

Santheas blinked at the mention of Sono's job. Did Metas normally get regular human jobs? Santheas himself had gone ferral and just travelled the countryside and between realms. He was never much the family type, but he did make a note to stop by and see his mother and brother now and again.
"Ah, so heading to the infirmary was right after all," he mused, a smirk touching his lips. "Thanks kid," he said, reaching out to ruffle Edumnd's hair, "Do you think you could show me the way there? Things seemed to have changed since I was last here," he pointed out, still trying to scrape up from his memory who this child was.
He looked down at Deskri again, "I'm taking you to the infirmary whether you like it or not now. I think I have something dry that you can borrow until you get back to your dorm too," he added.

"San, I don't need to go to the infirmary...." Deskri sighed, but gave up protesting further. He knew that San would do whatever he wanted, when he wanted. He looked back to Edmund, frowning a little. Who was that kid anyway? Deskri didn't know too many of the students just because of his anti-social behavior. Also because Kagyaku would have more targets to attack, but since the demon was gone that wasn't an excuse.
"Who're you again?" He raised a brow, he couldn't even remember seeing the kid, which was usually how he came to know of people. He didn't meet them, he just happened to see them.
[a.k.a., he's a srs people watcher. XDDD hahaahaa~]

As soon as Santheas ruffled him, Edmund seemed to relax a little. He really did love having his hair touched, and his Mom would often pet it to get him to calm down. He nodded in response to being asked to show the way. After cracking a small shy smile at the man, he started heading off down the hallway. "It's not too far from here." This time his voice took on a more normal tone the the soft one he had been using before.
Edmund wondered if he had known Santheas from before, but as it seemed the man didn't know his name either he had forgotten or never met him. It was kind of a relieving feeling. He turned back to make sure he was being followed when Deskri asked him who he was. "Oh, my name is Edmund. I'm kind of new here...I guess." His voice dropped down softer again. "Mom says I was here before but...I don't really remember."

Santheas frowned as Deskri's protest and then promptly shrugged, following the child down the hall. He was pretty surprised that he had recieved such a welcome, depsite apparently being a complete stranger in the school, carrying a soaked and formerly unconscious teen.
"Edmund?" Santheas inquired, arching a blue eyebrow at the kid. He remembered that name from long ago. Was it possible for the Metas to forget that much time, or even reverse in age? he had been gone far to long indeed.
"Edmund, who's in charge around here? I need to talk to someone my age who remembers what happened before," he said, following the other into the infirmary where he placed Deskri down onto a bed and hten promptly went in search of a towel for him. "Deskri, you need to dry off before you get sick," he stated.

"Nova's still in charge...." Deskri answered him dryly, disliking that he was simply being carted about and ignored. He couldn't say that he remembered Edmund at all, the memories from his last stay at the academy were fuzzy just because he had bad memory, not because of the sickness that was spreading around. "I'm not gonn--" He was cut off by a sneeze. "s**t, I am..." He looked around from his spot on the bed. "I don't see any, maybe in a cupboard?"

Edmund was glad when Deskri answered Santheas about who was in charge around here because he wasn't one hundred percent sure. He knew his mom had told him before but it hadn't stuck in his brain. Edmund also wondered what had happened before. Maybe it was something else he'd forgotten, but then again maybe not.
He started helping look for a towel so Deskri wouldn't get sick. He paused, his eyes widening a little at the curse word. He'd heard it said before but he'd been told very firmly that it was bad and he couldn't use it until he was older. But he guess Deskri was older so maybe he was allowed. Upon his suggestion Edmund checked the cupboard for a towel and was successful. He had to admit he felt rather pleased with himself for being helpful and handed Deskri the towel with a shy smile.

Santheas flinched at the small sneeze from Deskri. He hated sudden noises, even small ones. His long ears twitched a little and he turned to face teh two as Edmund found a towel, leaving the demon with nothing left to do but make sure Deskri was taken care of.
The blue demon pulled a bag form inside his kimono and rummaged through it, pulling out a black nightgown of sorts. He tossed it over at Deskri and pulled back the curtain a bit so Edmund couldn't see. "Take off your wet clothes and put that on. I'll take you to the kitchens when you're ready and get you something warm to eat and drink," he stated, turning his attention to the little one again. "I'm sorry Edmund, I know it's late and you should probably be sleeping, but could you stay with us for a little while? I'll need someone to show me around."

"Thanks..." Deskri mumbled as he took the towel from Edmund and started to dry himself off. He hadn't been paying attention so the nightgown landed on top of his head, causing him to flail a little. "G-god! A little warning please?" He pulled it off of his head and stared at San with a small sour look before he complied with what he'd been told to do.
He changed quickly, curtains weren't safe after all. "'kay..." He finished toweling off his head, leaving his hair in a fluffy, tangled mess but he didn't particularly care. "I don't like soup, or oatmeal, if you were thinking of trying to shove that down my throat..."
[fff Deskri needs to censor himself. XD]

"Oh...no it's ok. I don't mind." He hadn't been intending to sleep until later tonight anyway. It was his first night actually staying overnight at the academy and staying up until he was very tired seemed like a good plan so he could just drift off in his bed when his head hit the pillow. For now Sun was going to have him stay there one night a week and start increasing it slowly so he got totally used to it. Staying up with two other people sounded like a good plan indeed. "I know where most things are...I think." he shuffled his feet and dropped his voice down softer again. "It's my first night staying here." he explained.
He watched Deskri's shadow flail around a little behind the curtain. He realized he didn't know either of their names. "So...what are your names?"
[Somehow my brain filtered out the fact that it was nighttime *shot* it's ok though]

Santheas merely chuckled at Deskri's protest and pretty much ignored him. "If I think it's good for you, you better eat it before I do decide to use my strength and force feed you," he teased, his voice clearly joking. Santheas would never do something to hurt someone he considered a friend.
He looked back at Edmund and grinned, "Well, if it's your first night here, we can explore a bit before you go to bed. At least you can rest easy knowing you have a big strong guy like me watching over you," he replied, ruffling Edmund's hair again. He wanted to ask Deskri about that thing inside him, but he flet it probably wasn't appropriate in front of the child.
"Make sure you take your clothes with you," he added over his shoulder as he haded for the door, intending to look for the cafeteria, fist by sniffing down the hall a little before Edmund would take the lead.

"Hate that stuff, not gonna eat it." Deskri grumbled unhappily as he was ushered out of the room, carrying his wet clothes. "I'm Deskri, he's Santheas." He nodded at San quickly. "Y'know, we could always make brownies...." He couldn't help but grin a little at the prospect. Brownies were the fastest way to put a happy expression on his face.

Before Edmund even realized he he gave his biggest smile to the two of them yet. It seemed like they actually liked him. At the least they weren't mean to him. Santheas had ruffled his hair twice now an they were going to go exploring and...well the night seemed to be turning out better then he thought. "Yeah, I'm glad...I'm not alone tonight." he fidgeted with his shirt a little.
Once Deskri gave both of their names Edmund paused and thought of the right response. "Nice to meet you both." He made his way over to take the lead to show them around. "I like brownies, but I've never made them before. Where did you want me to show you first Santheas?" He was managing to talk in full sentences now as he was growing more comfortable around Deskri and Santheas.
