"Do you guys ever talk?" asked Tallulah rhetorically. She suspected the answer was probably no - personally she'd never had a roommate for more than a few days, and was an only child to boot, but she thought that living in such confined spaces with another person might be a bit awkward.
"I'll ask Dani," she said happily. "If they are going out and Parker says no, maybe she can convince him."
Wasn't this what prom was about? Finding other couples to go to dinner with and split the cost of a limo? She didn't really know, all she knew about prom came from teen movies and idle chatter at swim practice. The actual logistics of it were another issue, one that was proving a welcome distraction from the life of a teenaged superhero.
"But we're going for sure, right?" she asked. "I think it's combined, Meadowview, Hillworth, and Crystal-"
Maybe Giselle was going? But then there was the tricky issue of Giselle being friends with Tate in "real" life...

"Well..." He admitted, somewhat sheepishly. "...Not so much. Or not in depth anyway. It's more like "Watch you Park, that kid who tried to drown you in the bathroom is out in the hall. Better wait to shower until tonight."
He framed the conversation with his hands, like he was framing a film shot, and gave her an half joking smile. "He makes a -lot- of friends." He added, with an tone as though he were imparting a secret of great import, even if it was dripping in sarcasm. "A lot."
"Definitely I'll go though. I mean assuming they don't bar the door for anyone attending Hillworth. It's not like I'm planning on wearing the uniform."

"Anyone gives you any trouble and I'll tell them you're with me," Tallulah laughed. She did kind of worry about Jaimie at Hillworth, it sounded rough, but then when the majority of his injuries came from covert superhero work it seemed puny by comparison.
She glanced at her watch and sighed. "Is it that late already?" she asked. "I hate to feel like a hit-and-run girlfriend," she apologized, "But if I don't get back my parents are going to worry I ran away and joined the circus!"
Jaimie had met Nellie and Angus, so he knew that this accusation wasn't hyperbole in any way, shape, or form. Tallulah leaned forward and gave him a quick kiss on the side of his forehead that wasn't covered in angry bruises, and gave the beanbag lion another fluff.
"Call me when you get out," she smiled. "Let me know what Parker says-"
She was halfway out the door, hanging onto the frame like it was the only thing anchoring her in place. "Do not chop off your leg," she said, very seriously. "I'll talk to you later!"

"I won't chop my leg off, I swear!" He promised again with a real, if brief laugh, petting the bean-bag lion with one hand.
"If I get your folks instead of you I'll congratulate them on your amazing high wire act." He teased, though he planned on calling her cell phone, not the house.
"...Just keep safe." He added this more quietly, after she'd already slipped out the door.
In its own way it was almost more of a prayer than a request.
