Giving Speed's shoulder a light squeeze, Kimberly offered a smile that couldn't be seen. She watched as he walked towards his boots allowing him time to process his thoughts.
Once he had finished speaking about his human she was close to wanting to cry. It all sounded so sweet and yet so sad. "That doesn't sound stupid at all!" she reassured him more than willing to knock sense to anyone who said different.
"It must be very difficult for you." She sighed, she missed her family and the friends left behind, Zordon and Alpha 5. She gave her head a small shake. "I think your human would be very sad if you ever gave up your passion for driving cars."

After his got his boots on, he stood up to make sure they were on properly, "I just wish....I wish I knew what had happened to him." he said, staring over the lake again, a frantic look on his face, "He left home one day for a race, and he couldn't take me with him because they wouldn't allow pets and....he never came home. I waited for days, sometimes outside, sometimes in the house, but he never pulled up his car. I don't understand why he didn't come home..." he said softly, laying down and putting his head on his paws.

Kimberly sniffled, giving herself a moment to swallow back tears, then followed after. She sat down beside him and then stretched out on her stomach. A large part of her thought it would be much more helpful if Speed could see her face instead of a helmet and yet she couldn't bring herself to remove it--since it was not solely her decision to make.
"I-I'm so sorry, Speed. That, that much really hurt," she murmured. She frowned, uncertain of what to say.

"I hope...wherever he is...he hasn't forgotten me. And that he is ok..." he said softly, his mind couldn't even bring up the fact that his human might be gone forever.

"Of course he hasn't forgotten you, no matter where he is. I bet he thinks about you all the time," she gave a nod of her head. It was what she told herself when it came to her father, she hadn't seen him for a very long time--even before she had found herself lost--but she liked to think he thought of her.
"I hope you will be reunited with him," she whispered. She didn't want to think of the possibility that Speed's human had made a terrible fate. That he wouldn't ever get to see him again.

"Me too....I'd like him to meet my family and all the friends I've made since I've been here, I'd bet he love them!" he said with a smile, wiping at his face again. He felt like such a wimp for crying in front of the Pink Ranger, especially since he just met her.

Kimberly smiled, "I bet he would," she nodded enthusiastically. She sat up, wrinkling up her nose and making a sour face as she noticed all the mud on her uniform, trying to think of something to talk about that would turn his attention away from missing his human.
"How do you drive a car?" she asked, as it was the first thing that popped into her mind. The first viable option--she had a feeling that if calling her zord worked, allowing Speed inside of it would be a very bad and dangerous idea.

A bright smile lit up his face as he sat up, the smile soon aimed at the Pink Ranger, "Driving a car is real easy! You see, there are two kinds of engines, manual, those that you yourself can control the speed, and automatics, where the engine controls it for you. My human preferred a manual, but I have to stick to automatics." he said and he went into a flourish of an explanation on how to drive a car, his sadness gone, replaced with unbounding joy as he thought of his favorite past time.

She was glad to have made Speed smile and while she didn't foresee ever needing to drive a car, it was a joy to listen to him. She understood some things as they applied to piloting her zord and the Megazord but there were things, many things, that made her happy she probably wouldn't be driving a car. It sounded complicated and confusing.

Once he was done, he went quiet, a silent, but happy look on his face. He then turned to the pink ranger, eyes bright, "Thank you for listening to me, I must have talked your ears off." he said, blushing and rubbing the back of his head.

Kimberly giggled, "No, I've still got them!" She flicked them under her helmet though the gesture was lost on him. "You're welcome and don't worry. I've been known to chatter on and on myself."
"I found it interesting, actually. A few things reminded me of piloting my zord."

"I remember the Blue Ranger mentioning the zords before, they must be really cool to see." he said with another girn, tail flicking up and down.

She nodded. "Oh, they are. I'd never see anything like them."

He smiled and nodded his head, but blushed when a small, rumbling sound came from his belly, "Geez, I've been talking so much, I totally forgot to get something to eat! You want a fish or shrimp or something?" he asked, slipping his boots off since he found it easier to swim with them off.

Being unable to eat, she had no choice but to decline. "I'm good, you go ahead though," she replied. "Do you need help?" she asked, tilting her head.
