Amalthea nearly jumped up when Horatio was back up to his feet and urging her to make a wish, looking back up at the sky and trying to think. Thoughts swirled speedily around her mind, at least from her perspective and she didn't know what to wish, what she could ask for. Could something other than the Great Lion grant her a wish? If not, she had no hope.. but it was a wish. Did she want to wish for the sake of wishing, knowing it would never happen? Or did she wish realistically? Was she going to miss her chance if she didn't wish now?
"OK," she muttered after staring up at the sky a little too long, glancing to Horatio before looking back up. She couldn't wish for things to have turned out differently, for her to be something different. She would never leave and she would never abandon her beliefs.. so she had to wish for something happy in the future. With one obvious example of what could happen, even for her, she knew what to wish for.
..
"Do you really think that works?" she asked, looking back at Horatio.

Horatio was practically elated at Amalthea getting to make the wish. Hey, he could have done it, but he was already happy enough, right?
"Well, certainly you'll have to put a little bit of elbow grease into it, but I think knowing what you want will help it!" he answered to her inquiry, quite happily. Ha ha.
"But it's always a good start! Was it a good wish?" Horatio planted his butt back into the grass, seeming to force himself to contain all of his glee with the jitters. OoOoooooohhhhhhh~! Happiness was just something he was bursting with. Walking around wasn't nearly enough to burn it off.
"I bet it was. It was a great wish." he mused, finally settling himself back in to watch the stars some more. Was Amalthea enjoying herself as well? He hoped so! Even if he was probably keeping her from what it was she'd been doing previously. D'oh! He hadn't thought about th-
And the thought left just as quickly as it came. How distracting! He did, however, paw lightly at the female's side, rolling back and forth on his sides, before rolling back over onto his stomach. Glee!
"Are you having fun...? "

"Hmm," she murmured as Horatio gave the very reasonable, logical answer. It would be nice to imagine it was as easy as wishing on a shooting star but even this optimistic and cheerful lion seemed to be ready to accept you had to put some effort into it. And whether or not Amalthea agreed with him, she liked wishing.
"It was," she said after a long pause where Horatio got in a lot more words than she did. But she didn't know what to say. She couldn't help but smile but she was feeling impossibly awkward and self-conscious. All she could bring herself to do was drop down onto her belly when nudged, watching him have fun with a smile on her face.
"I am," she said with some hesitation, even if she wasn't rolling around with him she was having fun, but she was getting antsy, "But- maybe I should get going, my sister is probably looking for me."
.. and this was probably the last thing Hecate would except.

Well, if one didn't set them selves up opportunistically for a wish, it wasn't going to happen, now was it? He didn't think so, anyways.
However, it seemed as though his stargazing companion was starting to get a 'need to go be productive' vibe going on, seeming to settle his excitement just a bit when she expressed a need to get moving on, a frown forming on his face.
Hmmmmm.....
"o-Oh..." he trailed off, seeming somewhat saddened by this news, but also not jumping on her to stay to play with him for some time longer. Certainly he -liked- playing, but it would have been inconvenient for her.. however..
"Well.. if you can do it, will you come to play with me again tomorrow night...?" he inquired, seeming quite HOPEFUL that she'd say yes. Did he care about a rank difference? Certainly not!

She pushed herself up to her feet when she realized how disappointed he seemed at the idea, it didn't make her feel any less uncomfortable. She was feeling more and more guilty for not being so openly fun-- but then he was surprised he asked her to come play with him again tomorrow night. She couldn't hide a smile, though.
"Sure," she agreed shyly, "I'll come back here tomorrow night." It seemed reasonable to meet here again. She smiled at him once more and then slowly started back to where she had left Hecate, feeling butterflies fluttering around her stomach.
