"My Na woulda gone nuts if she realized I was gone...and I'ma boy." Kay was laughing again, shaking his head which made him accidentally nuzzle against her hair. Oops. Oh well, couldn't take it back! "You smell pretty." The Shaman shamelessly informed her; it was true, she did! It was always nice to know those things too, or so he figured. Kale complimented Switch, so girls liked that, right? He was about to move to take her to the phone when she spoke...and of course he felt her lips against his cheek. Grinning stupidly and feeling mighty pleased with himself, he shifted a bit and pat her hands once more. "S'all good, 'Tori, glad you're feelin better." Of course, now he took one of her hands, getting to his feet and pulling her up with him.

"Well C'mon then, les'go tell 'em you're safe." Once she was on her feet Kay led her back upstairs (only limping once and even then it was discreet, so he was also proud of himself for that), lightly guiding her to the phone that rested on Switch's giant oak desk.

"Thank you," Victoria's cheeks turned pink at the compliment of smelling nice. She twisted a finger in the ends of curls out of habit and grinned giddy like a school girl.

"You walk a little differently than the last time we were together. You're still giddy in step, but slightly more light footed," Victoria said as they headed upstairs to Switches desk. She said it more as an observation than concern.

"I've never used a telephone before. I just know what they are for," she felt a bit embarrassed at having to admit this. Then she realized she was probably being silly again. After all Kay didn't mind her showing how to bowl before, so she was sure he wouldn't mind her showing how to use a phone. Then it dawned on her. "I don't know my phone number... or, anyone's for that mater," she frowned- a very rare, if ever type of thing for her.

Kay chuckled in an almost guilty manner at getting caught. Damn, she was attentive, wasn't she? This was only the second time they had met, that was very interesting. "Aha...yeah, I cut my feet up reeeeal bad a while back. Healin', but kinda sore sometimes." Once they stopped he lifted a foot, turning it around to show her. He had skidded barefoot on pavement, and it showed. Most of them had scabbed and healed, but some still looked pretty upset.

"Still won't be wearin' shoes though!" He grinned. Well that was a lie, Switch sometimes made him wear shoes...but if it were up to him? No shoes. Ever. The young man gave her a suprised stare when she admitted to never having used a telephone before...and even more surprised still to learn she didn't know her phone number!

"Seriously?!" He said, his red eye wide. "Na like, grilled it in'ta my thick skull." Chuckling, he reached up and knocked on his head, then momentarily left her to grab a phone book, coming back to her with it.

"What's yer last name again? Maybe it's in the phone book! I'll teach yah, no worries Missy." Grinning, he flipped to the Durem section, waiting for her to tell him her last name.

Victoria reached out to touch the spots on his feet but stopped. She wasn't sure if it was appropriate or not. "I hope sooner rather than later your feet are completely healed over," she smiled positively.

"My entire family, me being the exception, doesn't wear shoes," Victoria grinned. "Just take care of your feet," she said on a final note of the no shoes thing. She knew accidents were unavoidable but it seemed the decent thing to say.

"My dad tells me that there was a time when they use to use mirrors to travel and communicate with," Victoria said as she watched Kay go and get a phone book. "However, when their mom sacrificed herself the mirrors they owned shatter... So, until her daughter takes over and reworks the network..."

Victoria was full of curiosity as she watched him search through the phone book. "Our last name is Song... However, the only phone that I know of is downstairs in the cafe. Rhine won't be in till a little after 5 am," she sighed. "But, the name of the cafe is," she grabbed a piece of paper and wrote it down. "Just in case you ever want to call of course... Once we have the number."

"Heh, thanks! I dunno though, pretty rough on them." He still did a LOT of running and walking, despite his feet. Oh well! The talk of using mirrors to travel and communicate was interesting...mildly creepy, but interesting. "Sooo...when that happens, Should I be coverin' up all the mirrors?" It was just too easy to tease! He couldn't help it! Even going so far as to playfully nudge her with his elbow, Kay went back to looking through the phone book once he had her last name.

"Shoulda known it was Song." The young man commented, looking down at the paper for the name and trying that instead. "Mine's Gear. Weird eh? 'Xbalanque Gear'. 'Kay Gear' isn't too bad though." He mused, making an 'aha!' noise before putting the paper she'd written on under a specific line of the book, so they could find it later. The clock on the phone read '3:50am', and for a moment, Kay puffed out his cheeks (well, cheek) in thought.

"Weeeell...we got lotsa time. Could watch a movie, or nap, or if you wanna look around." The Shaman suggested things to do, though he was partial to the 'nap' himself, heck, even a combination of movie and nap would do, but it was up to her, ultimately.

"I don't know how to work them myself but I'm sure my dad will be teaching me," she grinned. "And, covering them up won't help. Just you wait one day I'll surprise you," she grinned as she leaned on him just a bit when he nudged her.

"Song is a very appropriate name for our family. Actually, my parents had to go on a name quest... or, something like that. And, that is how it came about." She twisted a finger in her curls once more. "Gear's a good name... Fitting."

She watched as he flipped through the book to find the number. Though he wasn't instructing her, she was learning. She picked up easily and learned quickly.

She followed his line of vision and saw the time as well. "Lots" she chuckled. She did like looking around the shop- it was all so very interesting. And, she wasn't about to let her most recent nightmare change her thoughts on that. But, despite that fact there was something else she had promised him. "I owe you a rematch," she smirked. She somehow just knew that was the proper choice despite it not being given.

"Creepy." Kay teased with a grin; honestly, in the end he didn't care at all. As long as she understood the possibilities of popping up through mirrors, anything that could happen would be her fault entirely. Thus, he had no worries about it! "How so?" He questioned in regards to his last name being fitting...sure he loved his last name, but it did sound very weird beside his full first name.

Rematch? What did she owe him a rematch fo---Oooh! Bowling! He looked around for Mrrh and the pins, of course finding them tucked away where he had left them. He pondered for a moment; he really did want to go to bed, it was early in the morning and he was tired! But...Bowling!

"You do." Kay said finally, wandering over to the pins and setting them up. "Though right now you have an unfair advantage, you cheat...I might be bigger now, but I'm wounded!" The young man whined like it actually mattered, but tossed Mrrh to her anyway, being the gentleman and letting the lady go first. "Though I guess it'll just mean I'm that awesome when I beat you." Despite his wording, he was smiling good-naturedly as always.

"You do realize we both have one disadvantage in common," Victoria said as Kay handed her Mrrh. "We both could use a couple more hours sleep," she grinned and refused to yawn.

She did exactly as he had instructed before. She placed herself in the center, and positioned her fingers just so on Mrrh. She tried to be a bit more graceful and a little less clumsy looking this time as she sent Mrrh towards the pins.

"Well, I guess three isn't so bad... Out of ten that means seven left," she was trying to sound as positive as possible. "You're right though... You probably will kick my butt," she grinned.

"True!" He chuckled, yes they did both have that disadvantage! The young man stood back and watched her bowl, unable to help the grin on his lips when she only managed to knock down three pins. "Graceful." Though his compliment was teasing, he wandered over and set the three pins back up, wandering back to her and absently passing Mrrh between both hands.

"Mmmkay, my turn!" Kay hummed, trying his best to line it up, tossing Mrrh down the make shift alley. At the last minute he stepped on the wrong part of his foot, a part that was still rather sore, and with a bit of a hiss tossed Mrrh on an angle, only knocking over the back right pin. "Aww, crap." He laughed out, hopping over to put the pin back up, and to bring Mrrh back to her.

Victoria twirled when he teased her about graceful. She then looked at him and giggled. Putting on a more serious front as he lined himself up she held her breath in anticipation. She wanted him to do better but at the same time not. Oddly, she was only this competitive around Kay.

And, then it happened... his roll and to her surprise he only knocked down one pin. Being so involved in watching him roll she hadn't noticed his foot.

She quickly recomposed herself from the shock of his bad roll. "Way to go big shot," she winked at him as she accepted Mrrh.

She held her breath as she rolled Mrrh down towards the pins. She closed her eyes tight until she heard the pins fall. She opened her eyes to see that she had knocked down seven pins. She jumped up in excitement and then hugged him tightly. "I did it!" she was very proud of herself and it showed.

Kay laughed at her wink, actually a little happy that she didn't point out his foot. He could take an accident, but weakness? Naah, that was no good. Like before he watched her roll, snapping his fingers when she did...quite better than he did. Damnit! Her hug momentarily caught him off guard, but he more than happily hugged her back, letting her go once her little celebration was over.

"Yeah yeah, show off." Grinning at her, he ruffled her pretty curls then escaped to clean up the pins and collect Mrrh.

He returned to her, first waiting to see if she had a punishment for messing up her hair...and then he rolled Mrrh down the aisle....knocking all the pins down?! At first the young man just stared, then he cheered, throwing his arms into the air, then dropping one to wrap around her shoulders, his hand on her opposite arm and hugging one of her shoulders against his chest so she could see where he pointed...down at the cleared pins. Of course, he'd bent over a little bit so their faces were more at level, but he wasn't looking at her at all.

"Whattcha think eh? Auto-Win?" He suggested, laughing.

Victoria laughed when he ruffled her hair. She just let him. After all it wasn't like she had to put on a show for anyone but him... And he seemed to like her being roughed up.

She took a moment to straighten her curls as he set up the pins and return with Mrrh. She was just as on edge as him as they watched Mrrh head down towards the pin.

"Way to go Kay!" She cheered the moment all the pins had been knocked down. She then leaned into him and his hug.

"Yeah, that is an auto win!" Victoria giggled. She tilted her head and kissed his cheek. He did after all claim victory!

Being caught up in the moment she didn't realize how improper all of this might seem to anyone who wasn't here for their moment.

"There, now it's settled, I win." Kay laughed, grinning a little wider at her little kiss to his cheek. Yes, that was an awesome prize! Soon he let her go once more, wandering over to shove Mrrh and the pins out of the way for the shop's opening later, yawning widely and rubbing his eye.

"Well, Princess, that was fun n'all, but I think we needta get some shut eye...Busy night for yah, and I just reeeeally like sleeping." Once the pins were away, Kay tilted his head a bit, looking down at her. "Either way, lets go downstairs, yeah?" He hummed, taking her hand and shutting the lights off on the main floor, heading downstairs in complete darkness. He knew the way and so he kept her close, not wanting her to stumble or fall.

When they made it to the room they'd been in previously, he flicked on the lights and let go of her hand, motioning to the bed or the couch. "Princess' choice, I'll take the other, mmkay?" Unless she asked, of course.

"A nap sounds good," Victoria couldn't help it when she yawned. Yawning was contagious. Or, so she was told- and, she believed it.

She blushed when he called her princess. She'd met another that called her that, but something about the way Kay said. She grinned giddy like. However, it didn't last long- just long enough for him to put away Mrrh and the pins.

She stayed close to him as they headed down to the room they were in earlier. She knew were they were going and didn't question him. She yawned before giggling- she was trying to cover up how tired she really was.

Victoria looked at the couch and then the bed. She knew he was being a gentleman and offering her first dibs. However, she (being a bit naive about such things) didn't see why they couldn't just share the bed.

"We can share the bed," she said as she sat on the edge of the bed and took off her shoes. "But, I call the sheet," she grinned.
