"I'm REALLY devoted!" He -had- managed to swallow what he'd been chewing on before speaking. At least some of Z's attempts to 'train' him were working. Demetri Wright wasn't the most polite kid around. "Like...really really really devoted. Z has my -life- to guard him..." Demy paused for a moment, before leaning over the table to whisper something to Ursula. "Of course -you- do too, your highness!" The glowstick loving boy did not trust women. It wasn't something he really spoke of, but with the way he was usually following Z like a lost little puppy and the way he tended to avoid encounters with women that lasted longer than ten or so minutes (they had BOOBS afterall...) people could come to the conclusion. Today's shopping trip went by without a single complaint from him, hell he hadn't even ditched her to go check out his Guitar Hero scores at the arcade. This was nothing short of a miracle.
-Something- was going on in that head of his.
Whispered message given, the boy sat back in his seat and poked at his burrito with a finger. "I can handle it." Demy huffed, fidgeting just a bit in his seat. "It's nothing new... Z doesn't want people knowing but -I- don't care if they find out. If they've got a problem with it they can go through me first. Hrmph!" Was he worried? ...Maybe. There -was- a part of him afraid of the ridicule to come. He had plenty of that in his younger years, and he wasn't exactly looking to end up like that again.
But Z was his boyfriend and he wasn't about to let anyone take that from him or make fun of the fact. He'd fight them, and if it was necessary...well the Negaverse could always use more starseeds. Z would approve of that, Demy was sure of it.

Demetri Wright may not have been the most polite teenager, but he was definitely one of the more amusing ones, as far as Ursula was concerned. And she liked being amused - loved it, in fact. Which only made the conversation even more enjoyable.
"Your life, hm?" It was both pleasing and endearing to hear, her ego finding itself sated by the comment, "How very noble of you, Demy dear."
Taking a sip of her water, her fork played around with the lettuce as she thought over what he'd said. She could always mess with him as she had with Zac.... but that would be cruel. Simply cruel. Terribly, awfully cruel.
Irresistibly cruel, in fact.
"It's nice to know that you stand up for what you believe," she remarked idly, her eyes not giving away her mischief, "But what about Mr. Killingworth? I'm sure with your after school activities, he won't approve of you taking the time to date, of all things. What would you do if he told you to stop?"

Demy choked.
There was a brief, flustered moment before he had managed to regain his composure. What would he do? His meetings with Mr. Killingworth had been brief, and definitely not all that enjoyable. It wasn't that he was all that bad of a guy, at least in Demy's eyes, they're personalities just didn't -mesh- that well.
Afterall, sticking a hyperactive boy who never shut up in with a serious business general king neeeever really ended with good results.
"Well..um...." A hand snaked up to rub at the back of his head. A tell-tale sign that Demetri Wright was nervous. "No...disrespect to Mr. Killingworth but I don't think I could... We're partners afterall! Roomies! I work better when I'm with him...if we split up I...er..." Green eyes roved, trying to find something else to focus on besides Ursula's eyes. Nervous. Very nervous. "I...wouldn't get as much work done, and then I'd be in trouble, and it's...i-it's just better if we're together. If t-that's okay, m-ma'am."
Hell, he'd even slipped back into the ma'am talk.

"So you'd deliberately oppose a request from the General-King, hm?"
Her question was light-hearted, a smile playing on her lips to ruin the seriousness of the moment, "That could be seen as treason, you know."
As the blonde quickly began to stammer, his face paling (but not nearly as white as Zac's had been), she waved her fork. "I'm just giving you a hard time, you silly boy. I, of all people, don't find any reason to disapprove of a relationship."
She paused, thinking over her words. "At least, one that stays within the Negaverse. Dating a senshi would probably end poorly, I'd imagine." Thoughts of Linarite flickered in the back of her mind, "But you and Zac are cute - he seems to fluster up far too much for his own good. You two seem to balance each other out nicely."
Taking several more thoughtful bites of her salad, it was a few moments before she added, "Though it would probably be for the better that you flew under the GK's radar - while I may approve, I cannot speak on the behalf of my darling husband. He does tend to put work above everything else."

Her words had soothed his nerves enough to end his stammering at least. This was good, very good, as Demy wasn't one to stumble over his own words like that. The idea of dating a senshi was quickly waved off by the boy. Hell, why would he ever want to date one of them? Well...really he'd only run into the one, but considering she broke his ribs he wasn't really going to go looking to that side for love anytime soon. Nevermind the fact he'd been trying to kill her. Details, details...
The boy couldn't help but grin when Ursula had mentioned him and Zac being cute. The bit about keeping it under Charonite's radar was lost on him as he briefly daydreamed about it. Yeah...Zac and him were adorable and one hell of a team! He was quiet a few moments more, not even poking at his food as he sat there and thought.
But, with Demy around the silence simply couldn't last forever.
"Speaking of work..." Maybe he had been listening to that bit about the GK afterall. "Is there anything I can do to like...be a better lie--worker?" Thankfully he had caught himself before slipping out with the lieutenant word. "I mean...Z is going to want to go right to the top, and he'll work his behind off to get there and I....I just don't want to be left behind..." Demy bit his lip, giving a moment's pause before speaking up again. "I just...you know. When I first met you you were a um...worker like me? And now you're...well look at you! You've done awesome and I know I can't do that well but I'd at least like to do well enough to not be left at the bottom forever...does that make sense?"
He beamed at her. Really, despite how nervous he might seem the boy was excited. All Demy really wanted was to be happy, and to make a select few individuals happy as well. Ursula was one of the few.

She didn't say anything at first as she finished her salad, chewing thoughtfully on each bite until a few slices of cucumber and tomato were left in the empty bowl. Once finished, she set her fork within the dish and pushed it away from her.
"Worker like me, hm?"
Nails rapped on the table as she continued to muse, "It's good that you want to stay on top of things. Really good, in fact. But I'd focus less on the 'left behind' factor and more on the 'what needs to be done' assignments that you've already been given. If you keep up with what you've been given to do, you'll stay on top. I'll make sure of it."
Which was true - Ursula did wish more of the lieutenants had an eagerness for their job. Too many had a habit of dragging their feet, just like Hematite and Torbernite had done initially. Eagerness was good. Eagerness was more that good. And it deserved to be rewarded.
Rising from her chair, she stretched out her legs and then moved to pick up one of the more lighter bags from under the table.
"Now, what do you say we go take these bags to my car and I'll give you a lift home? That is, unless you have your own ride?"

Sometime during the silence he had taken the time to finish up his own food and collect the trash. For once he was rather respectful of someone's need to think and choose their words. It was pretty miraculous, really. When she did speak up again the blonde quickly looked up and acted attentive.
She'll make sure of it. This was quite good, right? Their General King didn't seem the type for rewards, at least what little of him this particular lieutenant had been 'lucky' enough to experience. But knowing that someone seemed to reward them? And that particular someone also happened to be well...Ursula / Nealite / their queen / anything else she might be? Well that seemed to be good. Very good.
"I'll do my best!" He would, really. Doing his best meant accomplishing things, which would make both Ursula and Z happy. This was a win/win situation.
As soon as Ursula had gotten up, Demy leapt to his own feet. First things first, the trash (all of it) was gathered up and tossed away. Once that was disposed of, he returned to the table and started gathering up the heavier bags. "Don't have a ride, I usually just hitch rides here. I'd LOVE a lift home though!" Soon enough he had gathered up all but the bag Ursula herself had grabbed. Arms full, the boy beamed at her and waited for her to lead the way.

"That's a good boy." One hair ruffle later and they were ready to go.
Feeling generous, Ursula took hold of both their trays and deposited the remains in the nearby waste receptacle. (Her wrist appeared to be very much better than before, but Demy continued to voice no complaints over lugging around her multitude of bags). She glanced around for the nearest exit, then motioned for her young companion to follow after as she made her way towards the door. Unfortunately for Demy, there would be a few more 'short stops' in between the Food Court and the exit, but eventually they made their way out of the mall and Demetri Wright received a first hand experience of just how terrifying his Queen could really be...behind the wheel.
