Being the affectionate cat she was, she rubbed her cheek up against Sue's again for good measure before her ride suddenly stopped in place. If it was possible for a cat to give the puppy eyes, ********* would have totally been doing such at the moment. Instead, she leaned herself into his hand as he pet her before lowering her down towards the ground.
"Awwww... I could have been quiet..." ********* whined ever so slightly. However, that would be the last she'd mention of her momentary disappointment. She hopped out of his hand and landed firmly on the ground, though it was obvious this particular tailless cat was lacking in the grace department. Naturally, she rushed up to him after landing on the ground and rubbed herself against his leg.
"Yes, I know the schools." There was a pause. "Would you be willing to bring me something to eat?" Lunchtime meant food, and ********* did love her food. Speaking of food, now she'd have to go find herself a new trashcan to rummage through, since she had to abandon a perfectly good meal in the previous one.

"Sure thing," Sue agreed. It wasn't like it was unusual for him to be out feeding cats, after all; the Rat Pack was always sulking around somewhere outside the school at lunchtime, waiting for their own mealtime. Whether ********* would be interested in the kibble that they got or not, of course, was hard to say; Sue wasn't familiar enough with the eating habits of his own kind to know. But worst came to worst, he had no problem sharing his instant-noodle lunch. It wasn't like he didn't have enough of the stuff to go around. If he were *********, though, he'd be strongly considering going for the kibble instead.
But that would be a discussion for another day. He probably wouldn't have time to get that shower before class today, now... but for the conversation they'd had, it was worthwhile. Sue had some reassurance, at least, that the Lunars weren't already sided behind the Black Lady. And if talking to ********* about his failure to protect his Princess hadn't quite dispelled the guilt, at least it had lightened his burden a bit... but just a bit. "I'll talk with you again sometime, then. Be careful out there, *********." And then it was time to pull himself straight, draw a course for the main road, and start walking.

Poor Sue had sealed his own fate. He would probably end up seeing a lot of ********* in the near future. Of course, the feline could easily come up with reasons why she should be on the school campus, but food had been promised. Sue had promised to give the manx cat food.
That in itself was a mistake, but Sue would learn that one later on when the tailless cat took him up on the offer. For now, she offered what seemed to be a feline smile and a nod of the head, causing her little bell to sing out a few notes.
"Yes, yes. I am always careful, Sue! I will see you again!" Without any hesitation, the cat then began to bound off towards the nearest alleyway. All of this talk about food and thinking about future food was really causing her stomach to rumble. There just had to be a trashcan nearby.
There just had to!
