"You have no ******** clue what I am."

It was a struggle to continue walking, her chest screaming in pain from what was now becoming obvious to be a broken rib. "Don't be a p***y, senshi. I'm not going to leave until you're dead, so either stand still and let me kill you or <******** hit me."

Her mirror rose slightly, now hovering over her chest in a defensive position. Why in the world a Negaverse Captain would be using a vanity accessory to protect her was beyond Saiph - perhaps she was more crazy than she first thought?

Tears were still pouring down Saiph's face as she slowly rose to her feet and backed away from the Negaverser. After a moment, she felt her back hit a wall. And just her luck, there wasn't a way to run past Nealite. So, her choices were stand and die passively (not happening), use Tail Thrash (Oh ******** no), or try to muscle her way out. The third was a possibility, but without knowing what other tricks Nealite had up her fashionable sleeves, that was risky too.

Still, if she had to fight her way out, she had to try. Lips compressing into a thin, angry line, Saiph balled a fist and charged swinging at Nealite. With luck, she could catch her in the jaw. Luck. Huh, luck hadn't exactly been with her so far tonight.

Luck would be with the senshi that evening as her fist did indeed make contact with Nealite's jaw, slightly below the already swelling cheek Saiph's boot had kicked at earlier.

With her mouth being hit, the shriek escaping her lips was short lived. The hand holding the mirror shoved forward to push the girl away and one purple boot stepped back to keep her balance steady. Moving forward, it was Nealite's turn to swing, her intent being to push the girl back, to keep her back.

"You're a coward." Her knee jerked up, attempting to make contact with the girl's stomach, "You think a few punches will stop me? No, sweetheart, you're going to have to take me down all the way to stop me."

Moving back, one hand rose to wipe the blood from the corner of her mouth. "And if you don't, rest assured, I have no problem taking you down tonight. You and your loved ones."

Saiph hissed as the Captain's knee caught her sharply in the stomach and forced her back. And then she hissed for an entirely different reason as Nealite threatened her loved ones. Not that Nealite would know who they were.

But she would find out. Khalla, Sirius, Auntie... she couldn't let them get hurt. She didn't care so much about herself at the moment, but she WOULD NOT let this b***h touch her friends. Almost without thinking, she moved into a defensive position, the threat to her friends spurring her to action as nothing else had. Face contorting in a snarl, she growled the words, "Tail Thrash!" and sent the full brunt of her attack barrelling down on Nealite.

She'd wanted to be hit. Fine. She was going to get her wish for even thinking about hurting anyone Saiph cared for.

Finally.

The older girl was ready, more than ready for the attack she'd goaded the senshi into performing. Bracing herself for the blow, Nealite pulled back her mirror and poised as a batter would at bat. It only took seconds for the glowing fin to reach her and just as it drew upon her, she swung forward.

The mirror struck the Tail Thrash with as much strength as the Negaverse Captain could muster and the glow of the attack grew even brighter when hit by the reflection. Despite having braced herself, Nealite was shoved backwards by the sheer force... but the mirror had worked, it had finally done its job, and the Tail Thrash came barreling back towards its creator, changing targets.

Saiph didn't have time for more than a shocked jaw-drop as Nealite batted her attack right back at her. Didn't even have time to scream as her own attack rolled over her, picking her up and slamming her into the wall, leaving a lovely impact crater behind. With nowhere left to send her, the Tail Thrash kept driving her into the wall. A sharp scream tore from her as she felt ribs break, ********, felt her leg break. Wondered how much, if any, internal damage there would be.

And just as suddenly as it had swept her up, the attack faded, leaving her to drop from the wall, gasping for breath. Eyes glazed with pain, she waited for Nealite to finish her off.

And in a dim, dark corner of her mind, she wondered how she would be getting herself to the hospital if she managed to survive this.

Regaining her balance, one hand automatically returned to pressing against her chest as she stepped forward towards the fallen senshi. Her grimace was shaping into a grin as she neared the girl, and once she was in reach, one foot lashed out and kicked against the stomach of the primordial senshi. The girl emitted a groan as she curled up into a ball. She was done for. Finished.

.... or was she?

Crouching down next to the crumpled heap that was once the emotionally wrecked Sailor Saiph, one gloved hand moved out and took hold of the girl's chin, forcing her to look up at the Captain that stared down at her.

"I wanted you to see just how useless you are. You and your kind are no match for the Negaverse and it's a joke for you to even try to stand up against us."

Her hand let go of the girl's chin and reached down to her chest. Without hesitating, she reached in and took hold of the senshi's star seed and pulled. The tan skinned girl let out a sharp gasp as she felt it leave her body, staring helplessly as she watched the older woman draw it out and present it before both of them, her consciousness quickly fading. She was about to die and this redheaded b***h was flaunting her own star seed in front of her.

"This is your star seed," Nealite explained with smile across her face, "I could take this away with me and you'll die within minutes." There was a pause as Nealite herself contemplated her words. A senshi's star seed was powerful, it would certainly make up for the pain in her chest... but there were bigger fish to fry in Destiny City and sacrificing a star seed was minimal loss, in the Captain's opinion. Especially when it belonged to such a cowardly senshi - there would be no issues over killing her in the future, should their paths cross again. No, Sailor Saiph was going to serve another purpose this time.

Without a word, the star seed was returned into the girl's chest and the hand once again took hold of the chin, forcing her to look up, forcing her to see the woman who'd attacked her as her consciousness returned.

"But I'm not going to kill you today. If you can manage to crawl away without dying, I have two messages for you to deliver."

The grip on Saiph's face tightened, Nealite's eyes narrowing. As much of a message as it would be for a dead senshi's body to be found, the Captain had something a bit more specific in mind. "I want you to find your little friend Nerissa. I want you to tell her that I'm going to find her and that I'm going to bash her head in until her skull breaks apart into her brain. And I want you to find Kunzite - don't look at me like that, I know you can manage this, dear - and I want you to tell Kunzite that it's going to take more than some silly surprise attack to get rid of me. If she wants to fight me face to face, I can arrange for that. Until she's woman enough to face me, however, I'll kill every goddamn senshi I can until it brings her out from wherever she's hiding. She can remember what happened to Zoisite and Jadeite, if she needs a refresher course."

Finally, her chin was released and Nealite's hand returned to her knee. Still smiling, she tilted her head as she continued to stare down at the senshi. "Do you think you can remember that, darling? Or do I need to carve it into you as a reminder? That was always more of Obsidian's style, but I can surely give it my best shot!"

And... she accused me of of being an awful person... Saiph's sketchy grasp on reality and consciousness let her focus briefly on the irony of the situation. At least she'd never kicked anyone as a means of "HA! NEENER NEENER!"

And then, as Nealite forced her chin up, she realized she could feel something trickling down her chin from the corner of her mouth. Realized that she could taste her own blood. She was bleeding internally. For a wild, brief moment, she considered spitting a bloody logey up into the Captain's face, then decided against it. She didn't think she had the strength left at this point to make a decent showing of insolence.

Shame flickered deep with the rapidly dimming amber eyes as Nealite's words penetrated the thick fog that was sweeping through her mind. But that shame and self-recrimination was nothing compared to the sensation of intense violation and pain that accompanied Nealite taking her starseed. As it hung between them, she managed to quietly burble, "Shiny..."

Convinced that Nealite's insane apparent need to gloat would cause her to take the starseed and walk away, Saiph resigned herself to the inevitable. And then... then.. she was whole again. Her starseed was returned to her. Drawing in a shaky breath, she was once again forced to look deep into the Captain's eyes.

She couldn't help flinching from the pain in her face, as well as the mental image of Nerissa's head being bashed to a pulp. And the threat to every other senshi if Kunzite didn't have a face-off. But in spite of her fear, and she knew with cold certainty that she was afraid of this b***h as she had never been afraid before, and her pain, she managed to keep the flash of rebelliousness in her eyes to a minimum. Besides, what could she do right now? Or ever? Better to let Nealite assume complacence and docility.

When her chin was finally released, she sighed again, sinking a little closer to the warm darkness that was waiting to overwhelm her. She didn't bother saying anything else, just barely managed to lift her arm enough to give a sketchy sort of salute to acknowledge that she'd heard and understood.

And deep inside her soul, she wept soundlessly at the knowledge of how easily Nealite had broken her.

As she watched the girl make a weak sign of agreement, the hand left her knee to pat against the side of the girl, who could only grimace as contact was made over broken ribs. "Thatta girl. I knew I could count on you."

Letting out a soft groan as she rose from her crouch (her own chest was practically killing her, at this point), Nealite abandoned the senshi and made her way out of the warehouse, the walls echoing the sharp clicks of every step her high heeled boots made towards the exit.

Saiph waited until she could no longer hear Nealite's clicking heels. Of course, there was always the chance that she was still in the warehouse watching, but Saiph felt this was a risk she needed to take. She vaguely remembered Astraea saying that if they concentrated hard enough, the special cell phones they'd been given would appear. And so she concentrated. And after an agonizingly long moment, her phone popped into existence in her hand. Flipping it open, she dialed 911. As the operator answered, Saiph surprised herself in managing to give her location and situation.

"Warehouse, corner of 5th and Vine. Please hurry. Having.. trouble staying awake. Hurt... "

She let herself power down and slumped down further. As she lost consciousness, she hoped the paramedics would arrive soon. And hoped with equal fervor that if she actually woke up, she wouldn't have to stay long in a hospital. She'd find a way to talk to Nerissa and Kunzite later.
