"He wants to bring in the mare that stopped you from finishing off Nameless!"
"I'm sure that she was doing what she thought was best."
He wanted her to come back with him. The one who stopped him from properly dealing with Nameless. Anger rippled through the stallion, but he couldn't deny that he did need another Beta. "You want her to come with us?" He asked as if he didn't hear properly the first time. "You think she is good material for the herd?" It wasn't the way he wished to word the question but he was sure that Vengeance would know what he was asking.
Thanos fell quiet for a few moments before continuing. "You know she tried to stop me from getting rid of that blasted colt." He voiced his obvious hate of that subject. "I won't allow her to keep on my tail about that, it was my colt and my decision to make. I will not stand for another action like that." It was Thanos' way of saying that Imbri could come to the herd but if she messed up just once, even if it was something small, she and Vengeance would be out. And for good this time.

At the mention of her name, Imbrium came to stand beside Vengeance. She didn't like where the conversation was going. What was this about going back to that blasted herd? Well, if it was what Vengeance wished for then she would follow him. But she wouldn't have to like it.
The mare's eyes Burned bright for a moment, then they settled back into their usual dim glow. "Fine." She snapped. "I won't mention the colt. You stay away from me, and I'll stay away from you. I have no business with you anyway."
Then, with a little flick of her tail, the black mare pranced her way back over to where she had been grazing only moments before. Maybe it wouldn't be a herd of their own, but at least they would have some security, and her mate was to be Beta, not some simple low life.

Vengeance inwardly chuckled at his mare. She certainly had energy and spunk and he loved that about her. He saw in her what he used to see in himself. It wouldn't be an easy task to keep her out of trouble, but it would be well worth it.
The gray stallion then turned his attention back to the Alpha standing before him. He could tell that Thanos wasn't exactly thrilled at the idea of bringing Imbrium into the herd, but at least he was willing to accept her.
"She can hold her own, and she belongs with us more then with any of those outsiders." He told the black stallion.

Thanos had to use every ounce of restraint he had to not lash out at the mare when she came in acting all high and mighty. He would need to watch her like a hawk, one small thing and he would be on her like - well he wasn't sure, but like something, and it wouldn't be pretty. Snorting he turned his attention back to his newly appointed Beta. He knew there was some tension between him and Rowan but that wasn't about to stop him from saying what he was going to say next. "When we get back I will have Rowan show you your duties. He's good at what he does and you will be wise to listen to him. I'm sure there is a great deal you can learn from him."
That little comment might be the push Vengeance needed to buck up and make sure he did everything right. He was a Beta now, no more running off when things got tough, no more spitting out words he would regret later. This was his new life and he had best take it on completely. "Well what are we waiting for!" He snapped at the stallion before turning around and walking off. They had best follow, as this right here was the first test of the pair.

Vengeance was glad when Thanos ignored the mare. He knew Imbri had a hot temper and didn't want to deal with a fight, not yet. The stallion could only hope that she didn't get herself into trouble, and that if she did, he could get her out of it.
The stallion had to hold his tounge at the thought of Rowan teaching him. What could that stallion teach him that he didn't already know? Well, there was no getting around it. If all he had to do was listen to Rowan for a few hours, then he could do it. It was well worth the reward that he was receiving.
He looked back to make sure that his mare was following, and then followed after Thanos.
