Shuyajin Obscurus Vanilla eXee The commercial is right. Most of the stuff they put in our food is fine in moderation. Therein lies the problem. This stuff is in everything. And most Americans don't know wtf moderation is. Thats because the stuff, even in moderation, makes you want MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MOAR MOAR MOAR MOAR MOAR, its designed to make you want more. To not fill you up, to make you hungrier, etc. How can possibly you have moderation when the very nature of what your taking is anti-moderation? Willpower.

FDA to allow manufacturers the option of using the term “corn sugar” instead of “high fructose corn syrup” http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2010/10/01/new-high-fructose-corn-syrup-scam.aspx

I seriously wish people would become mass allergic to corn and soy like they are with peanuts. Then the oils and sweetener wouldn't be in *everything*.

Naynram Ukir I seriously wish people would become mass allergic to corn and soy like they are with peanuts. Then the oils and sweetener wouldn't be in *everything*. So you would wish a potentially fatal allergic reaction on millions of people just to push the anti-corn syrup agenda? Just go to a health food store, geez.

Is it fatal if most people aren't using it anymore? And it's not just about hfcs, it's also about how most corn and soy is gm in the US because the plants can withstand it. health food stores cost an arm and a leg and not everyone has access to them.
It's a fleeting thought, really. I wouldn't expect it to happen or anything though.

It would be fatal for people during the sudden emergence of these allergies, until people figured out what was going on. Until the people give a rat's a** about what they're eating then it's unlikely that anything will change. Most people just don't care. If you really care so much there are ways to bypass it, health food store or not. Just takes a little creativity.

Yeah, I guess you're right. I never meant a deadly allergy, however in the first place. I just meant like general symptoms of "hay fever" or something. But even still, allergies are a hella annoying, and "forcing" people to have it wouldn't be the greatest thing in the world.

I got the impression that you meant something like a serious peanut allergy; anaphylaxis and all that. It's good to know that's not what you meant. I can attest to how annoying pollen and dust allergies are but I'm not sure it would make me quit eating tasty goodness. xd

Yeah, that's true. It hasn't worked for wheat. lol And I believe a lot of people have a slight wheat allergy, myself included. Rarely my stomach feels like it's on fire after eating a bowl of Cheerios or other cereal, most other times it's fine. I used to think it was the milk, but it still happens. Either way it's a cheap source of nutrients, so no one's going to put it down unless it's extremely necessary.

if you have an allergy you should try microdoses on a daily basis, that's how kids allergic to peanut butter don't die anymore.
I saw the video on HFCS with the mice, the mice even though drinking less calories of HFCS actually gained more weight. That's all that really matters... less calories, more fatasses... the idea of equal calories is a lie with HFCS and even the elitist pricks know it.
