Maelios' mouth spread into a wide smile once he realized what she was doing. Turning to completely face her and then the book, he towered above it to read everything it said. "Its a lot like my book." He stated quietly, "But it has more, a lot more than the version I have. Its wonderful Erdre. Thank you for showing me." He truly meant it, it had to be the nicest thing anyone had ever done for him.

Erdre smiled, marking the page and closing the book gently. "Its yours, I have a million books on astronomy, this one has the most information, and it should belong to someone who truly loves it." She sets it in front of him, "I mean it, you will enjoy it much more than I will."

"I'll cherish it, always, of course." He wrapped a paw around the book and brought it closer to himself, shutting it in the process. "It would be an honor to have such a lovely gift from a friend." He paused slightly after the statement, looking at her with hopeful eyes that he could call them at least that.

Erdre smiled at him "If you ever want to see more, I have a ton of books at home, on just about any subject anyone could ever want to study." She toyed with a blade of gras, happy that he had considered them friends and she was perfectly willing to share any of her books with him.

"I will someday." He nodded, a bright smile on his face. Leaning over he nudged her gently. "I do have a question though, would you ever like to see these places you read about?"

Erdre's eyes brightened and she perked up "Yes! Of course! Have you ever been to some of these places?" One of her dreams was to travel the world, but she had never told anyone that before.

Maelios gave a small knowing little smile accompanied with a short nod, "I suppose that's one of my strengths. I love exploring. And well... it might not be as spectacular as some of the reads in your books... I hope you would like this." He motioned with his head for her to follow him.
He then began moving through the grass quite a ways, traveling and weaving for what seemed close to an hour. He pausing near a ridge, he glanced back over his shoulder, "Do you hear that?" In the distance a faint roar of water could be heard. He moved closer to the edge, peered out and there in the distance was a large waterfall, a stream bellowing to life below it with lush green vegetation springing to life around the water's edge. "Beautiful, isn't it?" He had held out hope that she would see this place for what he did...

Erdre smiled "Well, most of my books are fantasy, so as far as I know the places don't exist. But I would love to explore, to see new places." She followed him, so excited, she was practically jumping after him. "What is that?" She looked over the edge and gasped at the beauty of it. "Wow! Its so beautiful! How did you find this?"

"I just decided to go off on my own one day and I came across it. Not even my housemates know of it." He sat down, leaning his head out over the edge to catch some of the mist that came lofting from waves as they crashed against the rocks. "And you might be surprised, sometimes you can find little pieces of real life that match fantasy even in the most subtle of ways..."

"Its amazing! I wish I had gone off and found places like this before. It reminds me of the land of the elves in this one book... its so green!" She flopped down next to him, smelling the water and the greenery, she closed her eyes, enjoying the sounds and smells of the waterfall.

Maelios smiles and nods. "Sometimes you just have to look for yourself. I'm sure you can find lots of wonderful places." Lifts his head and looks over in her direction, "Or even lots of interesting and crazy people, or Noodles. Maybe someday you should go off on an adventure."

"I would love to find cool new places and people. Although, I don't think I'd want to adventure by myself." She looked down at her paws, hoping he wouldn't see her blushing.

"Well, you could always find someone who is willing to go with you." He gives her a smile, nudging her gently. "Besides, even if you did adventure by yourself, it could be something small, just so you could find something special to you, and you alone."

Erdre blushed, looking at her feet. "Well, I kind of found this little hidey hole in the field, its sort of in the middle, but there's a big rock that keeps it shady." She continued to stare at her feet, mumbling quietly, "Do you think you would go with me?"

He gave a quick nod, "Of course I'd go with you. I bet it'd be a fun adventure!" His head raised and he wiped some of the water from it, motioning in her direction, "Lead the way Milady."
