Kirra silently dropped her head in caution as the other female gently licked the top of her head. She wasn't quite sure what to make of it, and cowered slightly, but did not look too displeased. At least it was not a bite, and it would mean her presence would be tolerated for a while in this group. The idea of this was rather overwhelming, and she whined softly and thrushed the end of her tail about.

After this exchange was over, Catalyst went back to his issuances about the formation of this pack. The large wolf rather thought it was a good idea to wait for a few more members before looking off to some new land- although the prospect of moving also made her a bit nervous as well. But she trusted Catalyst's judgment- and perhaps she trusted Kalia's as well. She seemed to be a clever female, or atleast, she had gotten Catalyst's attention. And she trusted his faith in her.

Her mind fluttered back to where they'd go. She had spent many years in so many packs... one would think that moving would have no longer been a concern to her. But she was so set in her ways (granted, they could change weekly), that it made the idea of leaving seem so foreign. But she looked forward to it, regardless.

The next question rather surprised Kirra. Her ranking? How could she hold any sort of ranking? She wasn't good at anything- and that was the honest truth. She could...shove stuff she supposed. If they needed a pack shover, well, she was it. If they needed a pack eater, she could do that as well. Pup sitting- she scared children. Hunting, she could hardly breathe after a little bout of running. Far too unintelligent to formulate any sort of coherent plan. She could dig. Sort of. She couldn't climb much of anything, her long and awkward legs making her so easily tripped. Couldn't howl- her voice was too miserable. She could possibly scent things...she was good at that...somewhat... But she'd never trust herself enough to ever make that sort of choice. "I need no ranking." She said roughly, but in the softest manner she could urge with her voice. "...I am fine to just follow... That's the only thing I can do."

Kal stayed by the other female's side even as Catalyst continued talking. She didn't quite know the reason, but she was now attached to the awkward wolf. It was strange, really. One minute she had been cold and harsh towards the other female, shutting her out almost instantly. But now she actually like her... there wasn't anything bad about her really, except for her confidence in herself. But that could be helped over time.

Then, when her love asked of the female what rank she thought she could fit into, she was disappointed to find that Kirra still didn't think she was fit for anything other than being a follower. A slight sigh escaped the gray female's lips. In another instant she gently butted her nose against the side of the larger female's head.

"Are you sure there isn't something you'd rather be?" She looked towards their new alpha for a moment, as if trying to figure out what he was thinking. She would be the female alpha, right? Well, she wasn't quite sure... she wanted his confirmation. A minute later she looked back towards Kirra. Beta seemed a little too... hm... demanding... for the other. Would she have the confidence for the position?

Or perhaps scout would do... yes, scouts were important. Perhaps...

"A scout, maybe? I mean, they have important jobs, right? And we'll need someone to scope out the lands a little once the pack moves..." Would the other two go for the idea?

Kirra lowered her vision, and nervously twitched her tail. She really was content to just be a follower. She didn't need a job to make her feel important or happy. She was happy if she was accepted, and that was really all she needed. And even now, still she questioned how long her stay would be in this arrangement. Certainly, she'd never been treated with kindness by both ruling individuals of the pack... but she'd never stayed in a pack for long to ever really get the feeling that any stay would be indefinite.

Now she felt torn. On one side, she didn't want to let Catalyst or Kalia down, and knew it would be better for all of them if she stuck to no ranking. She certainly didn't need a ranking. But with such few members, was that the time of impression she should be making? Kirra swallowed. She didn't want to come off as totally worthless right from the get go... but she feared failure more then being thrown out. Her ears pivoted. But she had never been offered an actual position in a pack before either. Maybe she could do something... Although privately, she knew better. She winced. So conflicting!

"I will do what you wish of me." Kirra concluded, her ears flattened. "If you wish me to be a scout, I will be a scout. If you wish me to follow, then I will follow." Her head shook back and forth. "I cannot make a choice like that." And it was the truth. "It's up to you to decide what you believe me capable of, or capable of learning."

Kalia soon grew irritated. She liked this new female, but it bothered her that Kirra really had no confidence in herself to think of a rank other than a follower. Was that really all she wanted to be, all she thought she was capable of doing? She shook her head, a little annoyed with the other's low self-esteem.

All she wanted to do was growl a little and maybe knock some sense into that large skull of hers. But she knew that would just be too mean and cruel, especially when that particular action would probably just scare the omega into a worse state. No, she had to use patience.

Yet she wasn't going to be the only leader in this pack. In fact, she didn't even think she was quite fit for the position. It wasn't that she didn't think that highly of herself, it was just a spur of the moment thing. But nonetheless, she believed that they--her and Catalyst--would get through it together by communicating and sharing their ideas, their power.

So Kal looked over towards her true love, blinking and tilting her head slightly as if asking him what he thought was a fit position for the other female. He definitely knew her better, so perhaps he would have an easier time picking a position?

And it didn't bother Kal one bit. She liked the fact that Catalyst was attempting to hint at and show her what her place would be in this new pack of his. It caused so much swell of emotion that she lifted her tail and huffed slightly. It wasn't her ego acting so large she was becoming arrogant, oh no, it was just her way of covering up all of the feelings that were inside of her. Now was not to the time to go all mushy and love on the male.

Then, when Kirra spoke, the gray female was glad for a chance to take her mind off of her new-found pride and thoughts. But the words coming from the other female weren't exactly what she had expected. They were better than the first answer, but still not the best.

Sighing, she sat down slowly next to her love. Kirra would stay with them, she had grown terribly attached to the awkward female. If anyone even dared to try and chase her from the pack, well, they'd be facing angry and blood-thirsty jaws. And so she figured if she was willing to tear out someone's throat in order to allow her to stay, well then, she might as well not pressure her too much.

"Trying is really the best we can expect from you right now. This pack idea is sort of spur of the moment and we don't have to decide everything right here and right now..." Kal wasn't trying to take full control... rather, she was attempting to assert her dominance peacefully as the alpha female. But she still respected Catalyst and his power in the pack as well. So she turned to him and blinked once more.

"Do you agree?"

Catalyst smiled, and although he meant to only think of this, he spoke it aloud. 'Good answer.' And honestly, it was. It was step further from the last response, giving him the idea that she was indeed willing to try new things. He then gave Kalia his full attention, listening to her and nodding occasionally when he agreed...which was often so his cranium must've looked like a bobble head.

'Oh, yes. I agree whole-heartedly. Kirra, we shall set you to Scout, because we both believe its in you, but if it doesn't work out, one way or another there is always room for change.' He smiled. He did believe she was capable of handling this job, it wasn't at all that difficult; it would be much like her wandering on her own, except now she'd have a purpose.

And instead of falling to his rump, he took a few steps back. In his mind, the decision was done. He was a head on kind of guy and liked getting things done quickly, though he had a full portion of patients. He looked away slightly, and then awaited Kirra's last response for with that the meeting would be finished.

While glancing off in the distance, the male thought quickly about how well this went over. Kalia seemed attached Kirra as much as he was and just by the look in her face when looking towards the omega, he knew she'd put alot on the line for her now. Even with this brief encounter, his mate seemed content with the other. Though Kirra still looked a bit fearful, or at least uncomfortable with the whole ordeal.

When this was through, he definitely wanted to have a word with Kirra about these ideas that were placed on the table. He practically knew what Kalia thought, and found since they'd all be spending a lot of time together, he could ask her later. Kirra was a shy beast and would take time to get her comfortable with the idea of others in the pack, since he had already found out she was always punted out things she loved.

Kirra shifted, gathering from Catalyst's motions that he had for the most part concluded their small meeting. She felt rather shy over it all, but it did greatly please her to see Catalyst's plans slowly going into motion. Kalia appeared to be very capable of managing on her own, and she did not doubt this pack would be a successful one.

The black hued wolf shifted, and nodded her head in resolve to the scout position. Now that her mind had singled out what exactly was expected of her, she would certainly do the most she could to not fail either of them in that position. She was rather good at wandering and scenting such things- but in order to have motivation, she needed to be commanded to do so. And with that command still fresh in her mind, she already began to set herself into planning how she would manage this job. "I shall do it then." She spoke, the corner of her ear swiveling.

In all of this, she had almost forgotten that they'd soon be traveling. Kirra rose her head in interest. This would be a very interesting series of events, she decided. The thought of new wolves arriving slightly worried her, but she did have much faith in the pair's ability to select other creatures they wished to follow with them.

Kalia wagged her tail when her love set a position for the other female and Kirra accepted it. She knew in her heart that she would do her best to succeed in her new role as scout.

So with that all settled and done, the gray female smiled as she nuzzled her mate. A moment later she licked his cheek then was walking off a bit, planning to go hunting for the three of them. But she didn't want to just leave them standing there thinking that she was randomly leaving, so she turned her head back to them and explained.

"I'm going to find something for us to eat. If it's too big to bring back, I'll howl for you." And with that she was gone.

Kirra watched as the pale wolf left, bounding off someplace to find them some food. Guiltily, her stomach rumbled, and she folded her paws across the bridge of her chest to silence it. It seemed as though this would be the end of the meeting, But as Kalia left, Catalyst changed positions and hopped down over beside her and began to speak again. Although Kirra did not fear Kalia as much as before, if at all now, she did relax somewhat now that it was just Catalyst. She rose onto her large and awkward paws, sitting up and glancing off about the forest. He lay down- and carefully she seated herself as well, letting herself be a bit more lax in posture.

The Doberman hued wolf shifted, thinking to herself. It was hard to say how she felt, but she did not feel badly. "I like her, I trust your judgment in such things." She spoke, her voice still rough, but as light as she could make it. "She seems like a strong wolf." Kirra said with a nod. And it was true- there certainly was nothing lacking of Kalia. In regards to the second question her ear swivled. "I think it is a good idea- but it is up to you what you do. I know nothing of running a pack, but I do not doubt either of you are capable."

And as for the third- she set her own head down on her paws. "I have no reason not to be alright. As long as I am not alone."
