"My God...I can't imagine what that must've been like.... Well, count this as consolation: you're still alive. I dunno if it was common sense, luck, or a pretty impressive arsenal that did it for you, but the important thing is that you are alive, giving the three of us a distinct advantage over those things." Tyler indicated the ghouls, and nodded in the direction of the closed boxcar door. "I've got a second car coupled to this one. I already loaded it with several iceboxes and refrigerators from the Sears at the strip mall. That was no easy task, lemme tell you. But anyway, tomorrow I'm hoping to start the engine and move this thing. We'll try to take the train a little closer to town, so we can raid the grocery stores and fill up the food car. You're welcome to stay with us, just as long as you like. All you gotta do is keep us company and fight zombies. How's that sound?"

Russ smiled and wrote one more thing on the paprer. 'All you had to say was kill zombies.' Russ went into the back and put all the canns of food he had into the fridges in the back car. He took off his other bag that held his shotgun, bow, and ammo placing it on the floor. Then he took off his new duster coat on top. He wasn't very muscular but what Tyler had said was true. Either by sense, arsenal, or dumb luck. He was alive.

"Well, I'm turning in. G'nite Russ, Nicole." With that, Tyler flipped on the safety on his gun, but did not put it down as he went to bed.

James was running as fast as he could through the night, Glock in his hand, coat pockets quietly clinking as ammunition hit together. As he ran, he periodically looked backwards, firing only when he knew he could hit them. Strangely, only the shots to the head kept them down, but he wasn't that good of a shot while running, so he just tried to slow them down. Ever since it began, he had used this Glock, but he still couldn't fire and run at the same time. 'Got to get away from here...' He came across a train station, and thought it would be perfect to use the big .50 caliber to great effect. He ran inside, and got as high as he could as fast as he could. he looked around in the dim light, noting the bullet holes in the walls. 'Someone must have been here before... how long ago though?' He fired shot after shot from the Glock, the extended magazine holding plenty for the time being. When the Glock ran empty, he unslung the .50 cal from his back, and began firing, the thunderous boom filling the place.

"Nightie night, don't let a zombie bite." Nicole said to Tyler as he fell asleep. She smiled and went into the car the newest survivor had went into, feeling hungry. She knew that it was hard to get food, but it seemed like she was always feeling the munchies. When she went in, the new survivor was already making himself at home. "It's crazy out there, isn't it?" She nodded to the wall, indicating the outside. "You can call me Nicole by the way, it's what I've been using for now." Briefly she wondered if she should stop using her middle name and just tell him her first name. She hadn't even told Tyler, either. She shook her head to herself, thinking that when she got to know them better she'd say what it was. "What's your name?" Then she heard a couple of loud noises outside. Going over to a ladder on the wall, she pushed the small door at the top open with her walking stick, even though she had no walking problem whatsoever, climbing up a little way to look around the train station. "Actually, can you hand me a flashlight real quick? One should be on a shelf, or something."

Tyler woke with a loud snort to the sounds of gunfire. "Hear that? Sounds heavy. Gotta be .45, maybe .50 calibur. We've got a live 'un on our hands. Shall we go pick him up?" he said, slinging the SAW after making sure the ammo drum was full.

Russ had quickly got on his duster and got his bow and pump action and came out of the last car nodding at Tyler. He opened the car door. On the other side of the train station there was a guy on the roof and several zombies after him. Russ notched an arrow and pulled aiming for one who was about to come up the steps and released hitting it in the head. He ran over to the zombie and extracted the arrow and notched it again. He hit his mark again. Russ was a perfect shot with an arrow. He shot another missing his target but hitting another. So maybe he wasn't so perfect. A few were coming up the stairs so he drew his katana and cleaved the first one's head off. He shot the other with the pump action killing it.

James saw the others, amazed that there were other survivors still in the city, but now wasn't the time for talking. The zombies were getting to close too use the big .50, so he slung it on his back, and drew his short sword, his ninjato, and started for the nearest zombie, pushing the point of the sword clean through it's empty eye socket, and out the back of its head. As he worked his way towards the man with the katana, he could just make the outline of a bow in the dim light. 'Gotta be good to use that in these times...' Once he was back to back with the man, they were dropping the zombies at a faster rate, not having to worry about one getting behind them. "Name's James, didn't know there were survivors here!" He grunted as he hit one at an awkward angle, causing the blade to vibrate, stinging his hand. "Once we're done here, what do ya say we stick together, maybe try to find a way out of here?"

"We're kinda working on that, actually." Tyler let out a stream from the SAW, bisecting a group of ghouls at the waist. He pulled out the spike hammer and crushed every individual skull before shouldering the large gun again. "We've got a freight train loaded with supplies, including living quarters and some food. Today, I'm gonna try to start the engine. If we can get it running, we'll be able to pull outta here seek out some more Living."

"Sounds good to me, mind if I tag along?" James was sweating from the effort of killing the zombies, not being in the best shape out of anyone he knew. At least it was over for now, and he was thankful he ran into these people, if he hadn't chances are he would be dead, or worse, one of the zombies. He walked down the stairs slowly, cautious in case more of the foul smelling undead were still roaming nearby. "Before everything went to hell, I was talking with a couple people up north, maybe they are still alive."

"Oh, well that works too..." Nicole said to herself when she noticed that the new survivor had left. Must've been anxious to get back out there and kill zombies. She closed the top hatch and climbed back down the ladder, grabbing a flashlight and making for the door to outside the train car. It was fairly dark in the station, but pretty much night time. Clicking it on, she moved the beam of light back and forth, focusing on Tyler with the new survivor coming back down the stairs, and, hey, another person! She also noticed that the fight was over already and shook her head regretfully. "Darn, that's the second time I've missed today! I almost hope we get mobbed by them again, just to crack some skulls." She waved over at the group coming back to the train. "Hey there."

((sorry, Ty. lol Hey, @everyone else: when the next zombie attack happens, everybody wait for Ty to post! sweatdrop ))

"Hey, yourself. We found another one! Well, the sun's almost up, so I'll leave you three to get acquainted. I'm gonna try to move the engine. I think all I've gotta do is prime the fuel pumps and it'll run." So far, the group had coupled together three cars--one massive fuel tanker, the new living quarters, and the refrigeration car. Enough to get by, to say the least. After a few minutes, Tyler jumped the starter motor, and the massive 12 cylinder engine roared to life.

((SQUIRREL TACTIC!!))

James was in the living car when he heard the diesel start up. "Guess this mean I have to say goodbye to home, in search of a new one..." He had a sad look in his eye as he looked from the door of the car, but he knew it was time to move on, there was nothing left in this city, unless you liked mindless corpses walking around. He turned around, looking at the people he had just met not even 5 hours earlier. "So, I'm James, and your names?" He stood there waiting for a response, only half expecting one after bringing zombies to these people.

Eleanor Cromwell peaked around the corner of a building, derringer at the ready. She heard fighting earlier, which meant that there were Livings around here. And the fact that she could smell them confirmed that. Four humans, to be exact. Great; now she won't starve. Once she was sure that the cost was clear, she put her gun back and walked up to the box car.

((Roflcopter, it's okay, Silas. I'll find some chance to headshot a zombeh.))

"Don't worry, we've all done that. That's how we're alive now." Nicole said knowingly, nodding in agreement with James. "But, I blame the government for this." She was leaning on her cedar walking stick and staring at him. Then she figured it was odd, and averted her gaze to the boxcar's window. "Call me Nicole." She said after a while, smiling. "It's my middle name, I haven't told anyone my first name yet. Maybe later. And him--" She turned to look at Russel. "--He just came a bit before you showed up."
