"I have horrible nightmares..." she said, exhaling slowly. "I often wake up screaming, which wouldn't be good if I had a roomate, as I'd keep on waking them up..." She looked around the room, not really seeking out anything in particular, just something to do while she thought to herself, trying to piece together what to say next.
"I...don't really know what's causing it..." she half lied. She had a hunch, but she really couldn't prove it. "I'm just hoping that it will stop eventually..."

"Nightmares?" he seemed both worried and intrigued. "I have nightmares too.. I constantly dream about horrible things.. people dying.. and I think I'm killing them.. But I don't think it's really me.." he responded trying to show an equal footing, so she didn't feel so alone about it. "What do you dream about.. If you don't mind me asking?" he asked, looking away, worried that he might have struck a cord by asking such a personal question.

"It's always changing. Death, dying, falling...it started with less frightening things... It seems that as soon as I become slightly desensitized to one horror, it changes up to a whole new fear. I've seen friends die... I've seen friends kill me...they're so real most of the time... You name it, I've probably drempt it, and if I haven't, I will eventually..." she prattled on, rubbing one eye that had started to tear up just a bit with her hand, rubbing away the skin-toned foundation to show horrible purple rings under it due to poor sleep.
"I'm just so...tired of it all..." she sighed, then paused before laughing meekly. "No pun intended..."

Rasiel smiled, trying to be reassuring in his facial expression. "I know how that feels... I hardly sleep. Obscurite won't let me... I don't wear eyeliner just because I think it makes me look sexy.." he joked, laughing a little. "I think you still look pretty, even if you look like you haven't slept in a while.." he commented, smiling softly. He was starting to feel better, and Obscurite had stopped pushing him, which either meant he gave up or was just biding his time for an opening to push even harder.

"Thanks..." Sonnet said with a sigh and a smile, actually verbaly acknowledging the compliment this time around before chuckling a bit at Rasiel's joke of sorts, sticking out her tongue playfully.
"So it sounds like your starting to feel better," she commented, swinging her legs that dangled off the edge of the bed a bit as she smiled gently at Rasiel.

Rasiel smiled, Sonnet really did make him feel better. It was like talking to a younger version of his mother, as creepy as that sounds. He really wanted to be friends with her, she was really nice. Rasiel opened his mouth to respond and something pushed him from within, it pulled his heart and make his head swell with pain. Rasiel winced. "..d-dammit.. no.." he muttered, placing a hand on his head. "S-sonnet... r-ru-.." before he could finish his sentence, he growled lightly, then stopped. He looked up with his eyes yellow now, and grin. He suddenly lunged at her, and pinned her down on the bed, sitting on her. He stared at her for a moment, the grin fading from his face as he stared at her. "...you... who are you.." he spoke in a deeper voice, almost confused. He tried to move his hand, like he might hurt her, but stopped again. "Why can't I hurt you!!" he yelled, becoming angry at his inability to bring harm to the girl he had pinned down. Something was familiar about her, but he couldn't understand why or who she was.

It all had happened so fast. One moment Rasiel was smiling at her, then he bent over in pain, and the next thing she knew she was pinned down on the bed, glowing yellow eyes glaring at her. While her face had the look of shock for a moment, it faded rather quickly. If Rasiel's bad thing was anything like Deskri's, it would thrive on the fear of it's victim, so her expression became one of a serious calm.
"My name is Sonnet..." she replied to the 'who are you' inquiry. "I suppose you're Obscurite, or at least that's what I've been told your name is. I was wondering when I would meet you face to face...so to speak..."

Obscurite growled, becoming more furious by the second. She seemed so calm, so unafraid. This angered him, not being able to see the fear in her eyes like so many he had seen in his past. Her face, it reminded him of someone he once knew. Someone he may have spared once in his past. The memory was distant and blurry. His name, his real name surfaced in his mind. Something about Sonnet was stirring up his past, making him remember the things he had never wanted remembered before. His mother, his life, his love. Obscurite looked like he was holding back, he then placed a hand on her neck, gripping it for a few seconds then just let go. "...i can't.. What are you?" he asked, his face stern, trying to find answers to why he couldn't bring himself to harm Sonnet.

She gasped for air after the few moments that he had cut off her breathing, coughing near the end of the bout. After she regained her breath, she became calm once more.
"I am what Rasiel is to a degree, a race called a Meta. I am of the angelic variety, unlike both Rasiel and Deskri, who are of the demonic persuation..." she stated. The air around her was starting to compress, getting ready to be flung back Obscurite with full force if deemed nessicary.

"An angel.." he spoke softly now, almost like his anger was slowly subsiding, though a bit against his will. "Are you.. making me this way?" he asked, wondering if she was holding him under some sort of spell. He'd never met an angel. Just him, he was the only abnormal thing he knew, besides his mother of course. His mother had used some sort of flame magic once or twice as he had witnessed, but nothing more than a short blast of sorts to give her enough time for escape. Obscurite had a feeling that the reason why he couldn't find it in him to hurt this girl, had something to do with his past, the part of it that he had forced out of his mind so many years ago. Strange, how some angel from nowhere had just come into his life and suddenly she was the object he could never harm. It was sketchy, but he could make out her face to almost resemble someone else's perfectly in his mind. But hadn't a clue who they were. A name, it surfaced slowly, as without much thought, had came to his mouth in a whisper before he realized what he had said. " ..lucia.."

"If I am, I don't know how I'm doing it," she admitted to him, wiggling a bit to see if perhaps he would let her go now that he had calmed down some. He seemed so lost in thought, and she was halfway curious as to what was going through his mind. Perhaps he wasn't all that bad, maybe just confused, tormented. It was just like Sonnet to attempt to find good in someone, even if that someone had her pinned down to the bed with the initial intent of harm.
Sonnet tilted her head. Was that a name? Maybe of a place, or a person that he had once been linked to? Was that what he had been thinking of this whole time?
"Lucia?" she queried, wondering if hearing someone else say it would spark a memory.

Obscurite heard her repeat the name, in his mind, her voice was overlapped with the voice of Lucia. Her image, smiling in his mind. He could see Lucia smiling at him as he tried desperately to keep her from dying. Obscurite eyed Sonnet's neck, not with intent to hurt her, but with a stern look of worry on his face. He seemed deep in thought as he stared straight into her eyes. "...you look just like her..." he spoke in a soft, but deep tone. He didn't move, didn't want to, he was still taking it all in, trying to filter his memories to better understand why this was happening.

Deskri headed straight for Sonnet's room, she would probably be willing to help him look for Rasiel if his friend really was in danger of dying.
You rely on that girl for far too much, it's going to bite you in the a** one of these days.
"Shut up..." Deskri didn't even pause before opening the door, he was too focused on the task at hand to even think about manners like knocking. He wished he had, though.
His eyes landed on the scene of Rasiel pinning Sonnet to a bed.
Oh. My. GOD. This is just perfect! PERFECT!
N-no... no... noooo...
He froze up, his body refused to move. He wanted to run away, or perhaps charge in and rip them apart. The more he thought about ripping them apart, the more he wanted to run. He had no business walking in on them anyway.
I TOLD you they were using you! But ********, who knew they were using you to get together! Hahahaaaa! Oh Deskri, this is just brilliant!
"S-sorry..." The word was forced, he slammed the door shut and then leaned against it, gasping for breath. Kagyaku had been right all along...
Of course I'm right... How much can you really trust someone who has the ability to go away? to be unseen? To have thoughts unheard? I'm with you all the time, whether I want to be or not, you can hear my thoughts, whether I want them heard or not... I'm the only trustworthy person around you, aren't I? Now that they've hooked up, there's no use for you now... You'll be cut out. Alone. All alone. Except for me.
"N-no..." Deskri's hands gripped his head and he slid to the ground for a second, still trying to regain composure. It was bad enough thinking that he'd ruined his friendship with Rasiel, but seeing them together? Sonnet with Rasiel? She knew how he felt, he hadn't been subtle about it at all.
That was probably the worst betrayal of them all.
I told you the angel b***h was up to something. What're you going to do about it, Deskri? Are you going to stand by and let them get away with it?
"Yes..." Deskri pushed himself up and started running, blindly, back for the safety of his bed. He couldn't do anything about it now, they were already having some sort of intimate moment, so it was obviously too late.
I'll help you get revenge later, when you're rested up... We'll make them pay for using us. We're in it together, after all. Kagyaku's words were comforting rather than terrifying. The demon had a point, they were in everything together. They were never apart, there was no room for doubt between them. Kagyaku really was the one person he could truly trust in the world, and he was going to hold onto it with all of his might.
Good boy. Get some sleep so we can use your full potential. It'll be a futile attempt if you're falling asleep. Deskri made it back to his dorm and then stumbled inside. He immediately crawled into bed, hiding himself under the pillows and blankets. For extra measure, he painted an illusion around his bed to make it look as if he weren't there at all. The only thing he had to do was keep the noise of a breaking heart under control.
Good. That should keep anyone from disturbing our sleep.

Obscurite had been staring into her eyes deeply, lost in them, when something had broken his gaze. His eyes whipped to the door, getting a good look of the image of Deskri, horrified in the doorway. 'The one time I don't want this to happen..'
'What happened?! What's going on?! What are you doing to Sonnet!!'
'Quiet. You have no right to demand things from me, pest.'
'You better not hurt her!!'
'I think that's the least of your worries right now, kid.'
Obscurite then sighed, after Deskri left, obviously scarred by the image. He let Sonnet go and stood up from her. "I'm sorry.. I didn't anticipate that this would happen.." he spoke calmly, almost matter of fact. "Are you going to be okay?" Obscurite seemed concerned, but was trying to avoid showing it outright by shoving a hand into his pocket and looking to the door.

This...this was worse then dieing...worse then any torture that she could have endured. Was this his plans all along?
No, she couldn't blame him, it wasn't his fault. She obviously reminded him of someone, someone that he cared about, and she couldn't really blame Deskri either for the way that he acted, and how she knew that he was going to act when Kagy got through to him; blood and herself on his most wanted list.
She tried to stay as strong as she had been through this whole ordeal, but it wasn't working. She knew what was happening. Damn her soft heart. If she hadn't given Obscurite the benifit of the doubt this wouldn't be happening.
"N...no...I'm not going to be ok..." she stammered, her eyes filling up with tears. "I...I'm going to die..." she began to sob, but only for a few moments before, eyes still full of tears, she clammered to the box where all her kitchen items were, and pulled out a large sharp knife.
"But like hell will I give him the privalege to do it himself..." she growled, having every intent to kill herself right there before Kagyaku could.
