Melody completely agreed with the Senshi she walked with, why was she following them anyway? Azzo was going to get himself into a lot of trouble, he could get himself killed and then what?! Hell she shouldn't even really be following along, if the encounter at the hospital was a reminder of what could happen. Something compelled her to follow though and so she was, praying all the while that nothing horrible would happen to any of them involved.

While their 'blood hound' was silent, the blonde girl turned to glance over the pale haired Sailor Soldier beside her. She was rather stunning, her outfit just gorgeous! She felt bad for not having said anything to the sailor fuku'd figure, but what could one say and not sound like a moron? She was in awe of the beautiful girl, and perhaps a little jealous. Because she had the power to help where Melody didn't.

Realizing her thoughts, she flushed in embarrassment. How could she be jealous of her? She didn't know anything about her, the circumstances behind how she became what she was... She didn't even know the pale haired girl's name! She should remedy this. Or she would have had Azzo not stepped in, tone acidic and self-loathing. It made her heart ache for half a beat, then indignance set in. Did he honestly think he was the only one who felt backlash from the events?!

"Oh yes, because you're the only survivor from that horrid accident," she shot back, loosing her cool for the first time in what felt like forever. Because loosing her cool was not something Melody Klein ever did. "You aren't the only one who made it out, Azzo. And you sure as heck aren't the only one with your own inner demons! Maybe, maybe you should try getting a second opinion on something you aren't the only one who'd been through before making such callous and hateful remarks."

And then, like a light switch being flicked on, her cheeks burned brighter then before and she squeaked. "A-ah! I-I mean... I'm sorry, I didn't mean for that to come out so harshly!" God, did she sound bi-polar or what?

-It was... a strange night to say the least.. She'd been worried that Azzo was some secret street punk. Had found out that.. for some reason some people were able to feel the youma. And now, as they walked, she watched her new friend spiral into some deranged in which very little of it made sense to her. It was like he was channeling Parker or something.. her hands were clenching, her frown growing.

Atleast Mel had seemed to.. kind of understand what he said, snapping as well, before recoiling like a lady. Polaris was there however to finish it for her, voice stern and matter of fact.- "If you want to fill the room and drown in your own negativity then I guess that's your choice. But it's exceptionally rude to take it out on others"

"Not to mention how entirely unhelpful and counter productive it is to sit around and pity yourself." -This was kind of a kettle/pot statement here, not that she was going to fess up to that.-

"Life is hard. Things don't always go the way you want." -She insisted as she brushed back some braids, turning from the boy to gaze down the street once more.- "But it's a heck of a lot more unpleasant if you're going to spend your free time by playing the 'My life is worse than yours' game."

-There, moral of the story. She felt like she was back at home, scolding Bodaway for the umpteenth time of the day. She didn't have long to savour the feeling however, attention turning immediately towards the howl that echo'd through the streets.-

-Not far away a dark figure prowled through the streets, dull nails clacking loudly against the asphault as it sniffed around for it's next victim. It looked kind of like a dog.. well.. a slightly mutated and definately rabid one maybe. With two heads. The size of a tiger.

One head growled a low and guteral noise as the other continued to sniff. Food.. it could smell food. Lifting both heads towards the sky, it's dual howl echo'd through the city streets.-

Azzo looked as if he'd just been slapped, if they could've seen his face. He frowned, shaking his head and massaging his temples thinking.

It was a while before he said anything, "Sorry..." He muttered. He looked back at both of them eyes fell again like a scolded little pup. He was shaking too, perhaps from the cool air, it was hard to tell though.

"I... I just want to know what happened..." He sighed, "I want to know why I can't remember a year of my life, why I see faces, they're all from there. From that organ ring or whatever it was. Most can call my name. Most can say Hello Azzo. They get offended when I don't remember them." He was standing out in the open back towards another street, his right side facing where the monster was coming from.

He was like a sitting duck, he knew it, he could feel it. He sighed. "I'm not trying to play games." He said towards Polaris. "I... Just no one else seems to care. I feel like I've lost all control of my life. Grams is here, she wasn't here a year ago when I last saw her. My parents still think I'm dead... They don't even care."

He took a breath and tried to steady himself. "I only have grams, not that's a bad thing... I just want to know what happened. I want to have control of my life again..." He sighed, "I want to be able to sleep at night without waking up feeling sick to my stomach and not knowing why."

He sighed and turned watching the monster chase, someone or thing towards them. He sighed, "But... maybe it's just me going crazy. I was probably insane the moment they put me into that hospital. I never snapped at people before, not like I do now... And the fears.... irrational fears that I've never had before..."

He moved back towards Polaris and Melody, instead of staying in the street like a sitting duck. He looked at both of them, Polaris in particular. "I'm not trying to be super man. I just want some control. I want to know I'm not crazy... is that so much to ask?"

He suddenly nudged Melody looking at her and nodding to the wall of the building they were near. Thinking they'd be at least a little bit safer on this side of the building.

"I don't know who the bad guys are here..." He said after a second, "I hear so many different things about the senshi and the negaverse. But never about the Youma." He added, glancing once more down the street. Before hanging near the wall and probably inconveniently the trashcans that happened to be sorta near by that wall.

There was a nod of agreement as the Sailor Soldier spoke to him, she agreed to what she was saying completely. But... on the other hand... A soft sigh was pulled from the blonde. Melody also could see where Azzo was coming from, completely.

The loss of memories were disheartening, the need to know a constant pull and a source of frustration. And it seemed, on the home front, he had it worse then some of them. At least her parents were home and cared...

"Azzo," she murmured softly, a sad look on her face. "Maybe you should find some one to talk to? Any one can work, really, but keeping this inside of you isn't good. I think that's something all of us who have been through that ordeal could use, honestly." Hmm, now there was an idea! Something she'd have to work out later when she got back to the dorm rooms, but an idea none the less. And maybe she could get Esen to help her!

The mental note was made just seconds before a howl, an eerie one at that, could be heard echoing and it sent shivers down her spine. She didn't have to be told/nudged twice to got rest against the wall, brown eyes tightly shut. Something about the idea of youma made her stomach turn just a little bit.

"S-some how... I don't quite think the monsters are the good guys, Azzo."

If Metis was the type of girl to curse, by god she would be cursing more violently than any sailor on the seven seas. It was one thing to stumble upon a youma when on patrol - rare, but she didn't take a world of shock and fright from it any more. The night club it had been targeting made it pretty obvious to her she had to lead it away, throwing random bits of debris and trash at it to get it's attention. Flaunting around a far more "tastier" starseed also helps.

It was a totally other story, however, to have it following you one moment, and the next, realize you've lost it. The little brunette hopped from rooftop to rooftop, scanning what few waves beyond her own silver and copper bounced around the late night city. No black. No darker than dark, no tiger-sized beast. The fact she could lose track of that was pretty pathetic. Could she blame the buildings? They did tend to make it hard for her to see since... they kind of block waves?

At least they couldn't block sound.

The howl made goosebumps ripple down her arms and back, but at least it told her where to go. A few rooftop jumps left her down the street from the creature, turning her body to start up towards it -she could see the black waves starting to bounce around the open street, emanating from one of the allies further down. New waves lit up the street though, making her halt and -uselessly- blink. Copper.

Lots of copper.

Coming from the three people down below her. Opposite side of the street than she was on, they were easy to spot and both made her stomach drop and heart lift in hope all at the same time. Two civilians, and one senshi - praise be to whatever let her see the silver tendrils flickering around in a powered up scout's aura.

Carefully she hopped down from the low building she stood upon, landing easily before walking swiftly towards them. A senshi she didn't know all right, but one that was familiar. Hadn't she spoken out in the mass meeting? The name escaped her at the moment, especially since two other names were blinking and screaming in her head as she caught the shapes and vague appearances of the two kids. Melody. The sweet girl from English. And Azzo. The boy from the candy shop! The heck brought them here?

"Pardon the intrusion," she started simply, bowing her head in respectful greeting to all, "but could I trouble you for... well, a impromptu team-up?" Her words were directed towards the other senshi, though her empty gaze couldn't help but flicker towards the two by the wall as well. How much could civilians do against these monsters?

"You can look. You should look." -She stated softly, a geniune look of.. pity was it? Sympathy perhaps.- "But at the same time you have to be able to face the fact that you might not find the answers."

"Not now atleast. Live to fight another day, so that you can find the answers then."

-Her boots began to move faster as the howl echo'd through the city, noting and approving of Azzo's apparent idea for the two of them to pull in closer to the safety of the wall.- "The youma are monsters sent out by the negaverse to steal people's life energy. Not as strong as an actual negaverse agent most the time. But incredibly dangerous nonethless."

-Her explaination was interrupted as a figure suddenly appeared, eyes focusing on the other senshi as her words sounded, a wave of relief rushing over Polaris. Protecting Azzo and Melody would be MUCH easier with help.-

"Absolutely! Sailor Polaris, I throw metal." -She stated pleasantly, straight to the point as her fingers touched the other girl's arm lightly in greeting, oblivious.-

-While tracking one senshi's star seed might have been a little difficult, the two in their closer proximatey had gained the monster dog's attention once more. Picking up the pace he rounded one corner, banging hard into a street light, that bent and swayed from the force, hard on the trail of the delicious smell.-

Azzo looked at Melody head tilted almost a soft curiosity played against his features. Giving a soft nod, "Mmmm still though, you know kinda have to watch who one talks to." He said softly melancholy honey eyes keeping a watch on the dog before they moved to a safer spot.

However he hovered close to the edge so he could see. He wanted to know what was going on. "I never said those were Mel," He added softly, his one hand still on the wooden bat just in case.

He saw another senshi while listening to Polaris' explanation that was cut short, "I remember you..." He said softly directed to the new senshi, which was probably about all he could get out before another sound caught his ears. He looked towards the monster and eyes widened slight, "Damn it bent the street light..." He muttered.

He nodded however, when Polaris said to live to fight another day. He stopped hearing Metal and looked back at the trashcans. "Uh..." He switched places quickly with Mel but for a moment, "If you ask me Mel, Metal doesn't sound good." He Moved the trash cans away from them out into the street basically before turning back to the safety of the wall keeping Mel close to him.

He had a very stupid idea... and the fact that it was a stupid idea was perhaps even better to think of it. Since there were two heads, it might need some distracting. If anyone was paying attention they could see wheels turning while he had time to think.

"So why not find some one we attended Barren Pines to talk with?" she asked. "They're likely to better understand then any one else." Hint hint, he could talk to her if need be.

But thoughts on that matter disappeared as she heard the sound of the lamp being bent. Oh god, whatever youma was out there was big enough to bend a fricken lamp post... Melody couldn't help but fear this monster just a bit. Okay, more then just a bit honestly.

She didn't notice much when Azzo switched spots with her, though it was hard not to notice him tossing trash cans away, and when he came back to stand next to her again she snuggled closer still. Gentle hands held one of his own as she hid her face against his arm, effectively missing the wheels in his head turning.

The brief contact she was alright with, a warmer smile coming across her face to see she would be working with someone so friendly. Certainly made things easier. Polaris' introduction and inclusion of what she dealt in only added to her already positive opinion on the pale-haired girl. "Sailor Metis, I blind people." Her smile was genuine, directing it even towards Azzo when he spoke, expression softening as she gazed upon his and Melody's glowing figures. "And I remember you. Hopefully things will go as well now as they did then," she added with a harder voice when she also heard the sound of the youma breaking the lamp post, glancing from it only when she heard the ruckus of the trashcans being pushed out.

Metal, huh? The life energy vibrating around her did nothing to highlight anything she could use as a weapon, but logic alone helped to keep her from tensing up. They were in a city. Stone and metal. Everywhere.

She watched as the youma began to move around the downed light, twin heads sniffing the air as it settled its gaze on the two senshi. Metis' hand went to her tiara, eyes moving from one head to the other, nipping her lip as a thought occurred to her: she could only blind one at a time.

"My attack can only focus on one target," she warned Polaris, not yet focusing her attack. "Would it work best for you if I distracted the one on our left while you take out the other?" The one she picked was at random. They didn't exactly have all the time in the world to discuss battle tactics, small balls of white light starting to collect within her palm as she spoke. She glanced towards her momentary partner, ready and waiting.
PostPosted: Sun Apr 25, 2010 9:31 am

-Blinding things. That was a pretty freaking nice power, even if it wasn't one that was specifically offensive. And the demeanor of the girl, entire nice and helpful was so refreshing compared to some of her less than willing partners in the past. She was thinking this when she realized exactly what Azzo was doing, flashing him a smile of sorts, before she joined Sailor Metis in a battle worthy stance. All the cards were on their side, even with civilians to protect.. surely they'd do okay.-

"Since they are connected with one body I should be able to hit the whole thing, hopefully."

"But having it distracted by something like that would make it far less likely to try and dodge, so my attack should be able to pack a better punch than normal. Just keep an eye out because it can hit us too if we're in the travel path."

-She shifted her stance, streching her arms out wide, ready to call her attack as soon as she needed to, preferably after Metis had knocked one of the heads for a loop.-

-If they were going to attack they needed to be quick. The youma was tearing down the road towards them, claws actually leaving a few thin streaks in the concrete as it propelled itself towards the group. 500 feet. 250. 100. Spit flew from snarling mouths as they widened in prepartion, each head seeming to aim for a different solider.-

Azzo nodded towards Melody's comment, "Most probably. Eventually." He added noting now wasn't a time to be talking such things.

The one thing about it Azzo still had his bat. He heard Metis' power and looked at the girl approvingly as white light seemed to start to collect. "These guys are still pretty cool." He whispered back at Melody head glancing just a second around the corner.

If nothing else he could throw the bat at the dog and duck again. It'd distract it enough right? It was wooden... though the bat probably wouldn't last long with that dog. He seemed to pout as he was thinking. But what was one lost bat compared to a potentially hurt senshi?
PostPosted: Mon Apr 26, 2010 12:22 pm

She knew now wasn't the time. Especially not when there was a giant youma headed their way and two senshi off trying to fight it! The situation made her nervous, the dog was much bigger then the snake they'd encountered at the hospital.

Unlike Azzo, however, she was content to snuggle herself against the large brick wall and stay out of the way. They were of much less help here then in the hospital and, despite wishing she could help fight, she found she liked it better this way. She seemed to have a much higher self preservation instinct.

The situation was looking better and better, even with a lethal monster racing towards them. Two heads, but one body - if Polaris' attack hit home, it literally would be two birds with one stone.

Well. Sort of.

With the mental note to watch out for inanimate objects once things got going, she took hold of the light orb in her hand, white energy spiraling out from it to light up her vision just that much more. 500 feet. 250 feet. 100. She waited but a fraction longer, and focusing on the head aiming towards Polaris - "Mind's Eye Flare~!" Her hand whipped out, the orb splitting into multiple as it was just about to collide with the canine skull, flashes of blinding light causing the creature to throw about that head. Snarls and yelps lit up the night air, the youma wobbling a bit as half its usual vision was plummeted to black.

She didn't have time to even give a little nod of approval to see her attack hit, instead focusing on how the second head was still heading towards her. Leaping backwards, she hoped to have made it out of not only it's range, but the range of Polaris' attack.
PostPosted: Thu May 06, 2010 6:28 am

-Her shoulders were taunt, teeth clenched tightly, eyes focused. She was ready to jump if it was too late, but luckily a flash of white flew forward, and as soon it hit the head nearest her began to flip out. The whole body slagged, seeming to skid instead of lurch, the one head feverishly trying to figure out what had happened, while the other seemed confused over whether to be more concered with what the hell had happened or the tastey star seeds in the area. It wasn't much of a pause, but it was enough.-

"Magnetic field!" -As she shouted the metal in the area, everything from tiny pocket change and screws up to the things as big as the trashcans Azzo had pulled out began to shiver and shake. From all directions things lifted and flung towards the direction of the monster, striking it in the sides, face, and head, setting force another bout of shrill and angry cries through the night sky.

She'd shielded her eyes and face as the smaller things flew by, flinching visably but nothing more at the few that niked and slapped her on the way by. She was watching for weaponry should the creature live, for whatever she was going to grab and use as a weapon until she had enough energy to hit again.-

Azzo watched as Metis sent her attack. He had to shield his eyes for a moment, as that flash of light was bright. He knew Mel was hiding behind him, snuggled rather close between him and the wall.

When the light had disappeared he was watching again. Eyes watching Polaris as she started her attack, seeing the trashcans fly. It was pretty impressive. It was a good thing he'd moved the trash cans or they'd been in a pretty bad situation.

He was watching the monster, the wheels in his head had been turning. If the monster didn't turn to dust he'd probably be throwing his bat at it or tossing it to Metis or Polaris.
