-She watched him and carefully watched for other dragons that they seemed to pass by her chains just jingling with her steps as she ran, she thought to herself what are the odds of getting involved with the young ones again, hopefully this isn't going to be too much out of her hands like what happen during the fire festival. she then snapped out of her thoughts and focused on protecting Thanos more so.-

Thanos slowed a bit, spotting a dragon who looked to be wearing the appropriate necklace. By now out of breath, he closed the distance to her and panted, "You...a steward...where`s my father?"

-Rushia slowed down and just lightly nodded a greeting to Fam as she waited behind Thanos.-

It wasn't too long before the pair had spotted a small group of dragons up ahead, with two being the ones that nearly ran into them earlier in the tunnel. Slowing down, Astalder let out a breath before stopping in his place. His human bond soon followed suit as well.

The Steward the others had found was a familiar one; Astalder remembered running into her several times as he grew up in the circle.

<> asked Blade quietly.

The black scaled dragon, after nodding a greeting towards Fam, decided to just sit back for the time being. After all, they were just there on a whim, curious of the situation in general.

Fam seemed taken aback by the sudden appearance of not just one dragon, but several, and out-right shocked at Rushia's appearance. She regained her composure quickly though and focused on the young dragon, though she kept flitting glances at Rushia's destroyed wings.

"Yes, I am a Steward. Your father? What is his name or clan? I can take you to the commons area until I locate him. There will also be more Stewards in the commons I can confer with."

She glanced again at Rushia. It was obvious she placed greater importance on the torn dragon than a lost dragonling.

"Sister," she said, using the formal tone of dragon-speak, "Pardon any offense - but do you need help? The wounds on your wings look old... but they are wounds none the less. No dragon should have their wings taken. I know some here that may be able to help, if you wish it."

"I - I don`t know, I never met him," Thanos burbled. "But a dragon found me, he`s a steward, he said he`d take me to my father...he`s out on a ledge outside the mountain, I think he`s sleeping, he flew really hard - said my father hasn`t much time!" The dragonet swished his tail in frustration; he`d felt sure all the stewards knew what went on here, this was THEIR mountain, after all. "He said my father crashed into the rock, was talking about a white-haired human?"

"Wait, what?" Fam tore her attention away from Rushia and stared at Thanos for a moment. "Your... sire? Oh! Yes. The dying Fallen."

She hesitantly looked back at Rushia.

"If you... could both follow me, I'll take you to the ward. Dragons aren't terribly good at healing but our Bounds are... they know more about it than we do. Maybe they could fix your wings? But Cretiahm - your sire - refuses to let any humans near him. Would rather die."

She turned, glancing back only once to see who was following, and then led the way through the paths of Gen'yiel.

-Rushia didn't want to divert the attention Thanos needed to find his father, but being fixed up did sound like a good idea better than trying to let them heal on them own. So Rushia nodded in agreement to Fam and followed as she lead the way.-

Thanos also nodded, and hustled after Fam, keeping up as best as his short legs would allow.

Fam led them to a wide arching entrance with carvings on all the borders. Dragon art was simple, just a pattern of straight lines on whatever surface they chose. Usually scribed into rock as a way to mark borders to strangers among dragon-lands so they would know that they were on the territory of a dragon and avoid any unpleasant surprises. Dragons were very territorial, after all. Curiously, at the top was a carving of the bear-goddess and it appeared to be human-made. Fam led them through the arch and it opened up into a circular cavern from which dozens of much smaller tunnels spun off into. Some were blocked by heavy fabric and others were left open. In the middle of the room were a handful of dragons and humans alike. The ones that appeared to be tending to the ward wore a necklace similar to the Steward's, but with an extra bead on each side of the gem.

There were also a small knot of younglings which were there, by the look of things, because of a small dispute they were working on resolving by means of teeth and claw. The healers weren't giving them much attention yet, despite the minor bloodshed, as it appeared they weren't done fighting yet. One yelped as Fam came in, as his ear had just received a savage bite. The Steward made a wide path around them.

"Thanos, your father is there," she said, nodding towards one of the curtained tunnels, "He is alone. Won't let anyone near him. Do try and talk some sense into him?"

Then she turned to Rushia.

"See him?" she said, nodding towards the eldest dragon in the room, "He supervises this place. Come. He can help."

Thanos nodded to Fam. "Thank you," he said. Now that he was so near to meeting his father, his mind had seemingly blanked about what to say. Finally, after a few minutes that nagged at him as if they were hours, he came up with the words he wanted to speak, and he hurried into the tunnel to where his father lay.

Upon seeing his father so badly hurt, and weak from his wounds, the dragonet was filled with deep sadness. Fighting a lump that seemed to have suddenly grown in his throat, Thanos spoke. "F-father?" he said slowly. "I'm Thanos...I'm your son. A steward told me you were hurt. I came because I wanted to help you, or... at least to meet you; I want to know about you, who you really are..."

-Rushia's eyes went to the hatchlings an then she looked at Thanos and just nodded again to Fam and followed to the Eldest dragon. Once close enough she nodded a small hello to the eldest.-
"Hello, I am Rushia... you think I can be helped."
-she often wondered about her condition and how bad she really was, but what the Flamed hair man help her continue on for he risked his life and efforts to help her and the others.-

The dying fallen lay curled in the alcove, huddled against the far wall. His wings were crushed and his hind leg lay useless at a twisted ankle. His breathing was labored and when he heard Thanos speak, he raised his head. Blood was crusted around his mouth and nose but he didn't pay it any heed. For a moment he just fixed his eyes on the young dragon and then snarled and put his head back down.

"I have no whelps," he rasped, "At least, none that I will lay claim to. Did they tell you of the white-haired human, pup? He crossed into my territory and I hunted him and when I caught up, he told me I had to die. That it was necessary. Then he vanished and I went seeking answers... only to see him. He bound my wings. In the sky, took them away and I fell. Now I lay dying."

He coughed.

"I have no sons. None that I would acknowledge, not until their claws are bloodied. Hunt down the white-haired demon and then I may call you son."

--------------

The elder dragon looked Rushia over, his eyes showing no emotion. After a moment he looked to the side and as bidden, a human Bound appeared. The two conferred briefly through the Bound link, silently exchanging thoughts and then the human stepped forwards.

"May I have your permission to approach?" the human asked softly, "The damage to your wings... it was done with a knife, wasn't it? My people did it. Will you allow me to look closer and see if we cannot mend it?"

-Rushia was shocked to hear it was a human knife.- "I.. I am not sure... you can approach."

-she watched the bound curious she was to about the connection they had but still wonder true reason why we do have bounds other then what stories say-

Thanos was taken aback. He'd come all this way to meet his father - only to be rejected. The dragonet felt bitter anger rising in his throat. Yet, at the same time, a darker side of him seemed to nod in silent understanding: as the son of Cretiahm, as the bearer of a set of wings inherited from him, it was up to him to avenge his father's wounds and his impending death. It was this darker, more solemn side that spoke, rather than the less-mature dragonet that fumed within Thanos' mind. "I understand," he said. "I may be small now, but as soon as I gain the strength... I will hunt down your murderer and make him pay."
