XXXXXXXXXXXXXĄeяıe Wıℓℓıaмş ☸ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Aerie walked inside ignoring the dog hoping it would take a hint, she used an automated ticket machine to buy her ticket. And was glad that she had enough to buy the ticket. And maybe enough for a bite to eat. As the ticket printed she heard the dog snarl and turned to look at it snarling at a poor man who had done nothing but walk by her.
"Stop that" she scolded the dog and sighed in a mix of sadness and frustration. "Go home. You have a home, now go. Go and enjoy it." she told him and then stared at the dog expecting it to obey and leave her alone. After a moment she sighed. 'What do you want from me? I have nothing you want, I have no money or assests. I am not worth anything to anyone. Please just let me leave and forget me. she said finally speaking to the man again.

Sadness overwhelmed him and he reached out to her in his mind, wanting to hold her. "Paquena, you are worth so much more than money or assets, none of that matters. I am your Lifemate, it is my duty to care for you and protect you, but you are making it difficult to do so. You paid for the hotel room, go back, rest, I will protect you and when tomorrow comes we can both leave this place. I have a home in the Carpathian Mountain, in Romania, far from the states... I can protect you there, and you will be far from he who persues you... please, just see me, and let me do as my instincts and heart tell me I must... Let me be your safety and your comfort..."
There was warmth, affection, promise and absolute determination in his voice. He was honest and true to his word, he would not let harm come to her, no matter where she went, but her constant running was like a rejection being repeated and with each rejection his heart grew darker and the beast in him seemed to get closer to the surface. I know you need me and I know I can give you what you need... and I swear to you, my life may end soon if I cannot at least protect you." Honesty, absolution. She was his lifemate, he could not tell her an untruth.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXĄeяıe Wıℓℓıaмş ☸ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Aerie held her breath as he spoke into her mind, though she had no reason to trust him she somehow knew he was telling her the truth. As he told her she was his 'lifemate' and that he had to protect her as if it were some divine charge and act of true devotion. She blinked as the announcement came for her train and she looked to the ticket in her hands and sighed. Truth was she was tired, tired of running, tired of trying so hard. She knew she was reaching her limit and she wanted to believe that he did have the power to protect her.
In the end for some reason or another she took a leap of faith that for tonight at least she could trust him and that he could protect her. She was just too tired to fight and run anymore. She threw the ticket into the nearby garbage can and looked to the dog. "Fine." she murmured. 'You win. I will stay for now. she replied softly as she turned and went to walk back out tears welled in her eyes. She was scared, scared for her future, scared because she was blindly trusting this man and hoping with everything she had left that what he said was true.

When she did not board the train and even went so far as to throw the ticket away, relief flooded Azriel. The canine followed her out the door. Aerie was vulnerable, he knew and he didn't want her to be taken advantage of, Not by some boss and certainly not by the vampire who had seen fit to take possession of the surrounding area. His objective was to protect her, but first, he wanted her to understand and to feel as safe as she truly was with him.
The canine stepped in front of her and sat, then, in the empty street, right in front of her, he shifted. He stood at 6' 7" and was broad shouldered. His arms and chest were muscled and his facial features were sharp and intimidating. His bright blue eyes gazed at her in silence. His dark hair fell around his face and finally he spoke, "It's time to get you somewhere safe, Aerie. Thank you, for trusting me." He offered her his hand and waited, refusing to push her or impose more so than had already been done.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXĄeяıe Wıℓℓıaмş ☸ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Aerie stepped out into the cool night air and gripped her sweater to come around her tighter and keep her warm. She glanced to the dog as it came around her and then changed into most definatly one of the tallest men she had ever seen. But also the most handsome. But his sudden change from dog to man startled her and she stepped back in shock.
As he spoke, Aerie heard the voice of the man who had spoken in her head and blinked in surprise. She didn't understand what he was anymore, what was going on and she glanced back over her shoulder briefly wondering if it was too late. The girl stood there staring at him taking in every detail about him, his apperance made him look very formidable and very logical thought told her to run, but she instinctively didn't want too. "You have alot to explain to me..." she murmured softly and eyed his hand carefully before she slowly stepped forward and placed her hand in his and closed her eyes wondering what she had gotten herself into.

He sensed her hesitance and waited with undying patience. "I promise, I will explain..." he pulled her close and wrapped his arm around her in an embrace, sharing with her his warmth. He manufactured a coat around her form so she would be warmer and he pulled up her hood. "I hope you are not against flying?" and with that said, they were soon airborne.
He held her to him protectively as he flew her towards to hotel, shielding them from sight, once they got near the hotel he made a slow descent into the corner of an alley and stepped out onto the sidewalk before slowly releasing her."I wanted to get you here quickly..." he explained quietly, holding open the door for her.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXĄeяıe Wıℓℓıaмş ☸ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Aerie seemed to so far be taking things in strides, as the man wrapped his arm around her she could do no other than accept the warmth he gave her. But as the coat magically appeared around her she mind started to rewind and start to wonder. The girl look up at his face as he pulled her hood back up and she wondered what he meant by flying but then suddenly realized her feet were no longer on the ground.
Gasping she closed her eyes and turned her face away and into his shoulder until they were on the ground again. As he let go of her she stepped back and looked over him questioningly. "Okay... so is this the part of the dream where Bob Barker comes out and tells me I'm the next contestant?" she asked as she went and pinched the skin of her arm firmly with her fingers. This just had to be a dream, people could not turn into animals, fly or create clothing out of thin air.

He lifted a brow as he gazed at her. Bob Barker? What the hell? He shook his head and a sound reached his lips that had not in a long time. Mirth... laughter. He almost chocked when he realized what the sound was, this causing him to laugh a little more. "Sorry... I'm sorry." he shook his head and inclined his head toward the building, "Please, after you." he murmured. "I will explain all of this as soon as I'm certain you are safe and comfortable." he murmured softly.
He remained beside her, vigilant and watchful as others passed by. I am certain, by now you have noticed, I am not quite... human. He said quietly.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXĄeяıe Wıℓℓıaмş ☸ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Aerie expected to wake up, to find herself still on that greyhound bus. But as the man laughed she blinked and a very confused look appeared on her face. Slowly she walked into the building, she would follow this dream for a little bit longer.
Reaching into her pocket Aerie produced the key card for her room and as she turned down the hall that lead to her room she sighed softly. 'Maybe... but you are the most elaborate man I have ever dreamed of. I had no idea I was this creative.' she replied softly still believing she would soon wake up and none of this would have happened. As they reached her door she easily opened it and walked into the dark room.

He sighed and followed her into the room. "I am not a dream, Querida." he murmured quietly, letting the door close. He stood back to give her space and allow her to move about, making sure he wasn't blocking her door. He moved into the room slowly and sat on the floor. "Okay, I'm afraid it may take a while to explain, so please, eat and make yourself comfortable."
He was quiet as he sat, the Irish wolf hound, Irish necklace still around his neck.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXĄeяıe Wıℓℓıaмş ☸ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Aerie sighed as they walked in her eyes carefully watching him, not out of fear but out of sheer curiousity. Briefly she wondered what he had called her but let that slip as he said the story would be a long one. Aerie wanted to know what was going on, sadly this dream was too real for her and part of her mind was already accepting it as reality when she didn't want too.
Walking to the bed she pushed her duffle bag over and then sat on the bed and folded her legs before her and looked to him. "Okay I am ready. But you should start with your name since you already now mine." Aerie said softly and she wrapped her arms around her legs holding them close and resting her chin on her knees..

"My name is Azriel Donivic." he said slowly. "I am not human, I am of Carpathian Lineage. Do you know of the Carpathian people?" he needed to know what she knew and what she didn't. Waiting patiently, he gaed up at her, eyes focused on her face.

Like she had known his name since she was born and was only now remembering. As he spoke of being Carpathian she turned her head to the side ever so slightly and shook her head. "No... but you said something about the Carpathian mountains earlier? So thats just what people call themselves there?" Aerie asked softly, truly she had no idea what he was talking about.

He gave a tender smile at her inquiry. "Not quite. The Mountains, are in fact named after the race of my people... Carpathians are, in a sense, immortal. They are the good that hunts the bad. The Carpathian people are the guardians of human kind and many others. We fight the vampire, and strive to survive, so we don't become the vampire." he paused, to let this sink in.
How much should he tell her, all at once? What should he wait to explain? The Carpathians were good people, and they strove to protect. But they had a darkness that could not be denied, and also, they drank Human blood... that usually didn't go over so well.

Either she was very very very creative or what he was telling her to so unreal it had to be true. "Immortal?" Aerie repeated softly as she looked to her knees as she tried to think. Then she blinked in surprise. "Wait... you said become a vampire? You... You're a vampire?" she asked her stomach clenching and churnning in fear as she realized Azriel was one of them, was just like him.
