The thing is that the students don't have a problem with it. Just the teachers. Most of the kids that are gay/bi/les are out at are school, or will tell you if you ask. It was a concilor that got upset. The dean is okay about it now, and we do get alot of support from the staff at our school. It's just surprisiing that stuff like this happens.

not sure if they tell parents in my school, i dont believe they do, but it's totally unfair that they make a person do that at some schools, i agree it is supposed to be our choice and they shouldn't make anyone telll if they don't want to

they really don't have the right to make you come out. at my school, there are supposed to be no PDA's no matter what, but they've given up on that rule. i know one girl who everyone thinks is dating her friend because the first one's lez, they live together, kiss all the time, and the second jumps on the first. it's kinda funny.

That really bites. I grew up and went to schools in the south and was open with my sexuality in front of everybody. I never got in trouble. They would just tell us that it's not right and don't do it again. I've never heard of them doing that before.
Wishes you luck.

omg, if i had to come out to my mom.....i don't even want to think about it. most of the kids in my school that are "out" aren't in same-sex relationships, since most are bi, and the gay/les ones don't seem to be together.

That's really counter productive of the school.... because now the parent could take the child out of the school because people there know the truth... I also don't see why they care so much about how you feel then turn around and tell your parents who usually don't understand anything aobut the situation.

At my school, we have an out lesbian couple. I see them doing PDAs all the time. Like small kisses/hugs/holding hands.
Our school has very little problem against PDAs though. I knew you can't lay on top of each other there though.

Ok. First of all. Your school ******** sucks. Noone should have the right to let out personal info like that. I'd start a petition, ******** the man. This doesn't mean you coming out but simply defending other people's rights. Organize a sit in. We did that and got rid of our b***h of a principle. You gotta do somethinga about that. Stand up for what's right!!!

It's like that girl that got suspended for handing out condoms promoting safe sex, or that other girl who wore a shirt saying that she was a lesbian and got suspended for refusing to change it...
Basically, schools have no justice system...the only thing they can do is give you an education...they have no right to decide on how you or anyone else should live
I'm reminded of the movie "Kids of America" that movie was pretty good smile

Eck, this bites.
My school is full of wanna-be's of today so if anyone tries to get out they're probably going to get shunned. There isn't even a GSA here. xP
As for PDA's . . . It's alright here, but then I wouldn't know yet until Valentine's Day. Speaking of which, I've gotta fine myself a date. xD

That... really sucks. I'd be pissed off if that happened to my friend or me.
At my school they enforce PDA, weakly. At least for most teachers.
"Get off of his lap!!"
But, eh, my school isn't a normal school. Its easy to get away with that sort of stuff, if its nothing big.

oooh, just this week, i came to this hot guy i had a crush on, and two or three people found out, i don't know if they told people...but my crush was cool with it even though he was straight...hell, there aren't enough people to have a GSA in my school and if so they probably wouldn't anyway...but it took me ten years to realize that everyone in my school are just a bunch of inconsiderate pricks. I think it's sad that i have to put on a piss bloody facade to walk into school. I am sick of it and just feel like being who I REALLY AM. Not to mention, my mom knows about my sexuality and she's cool with it, but i don't know how the rest of my family would take it. After all it did suck, cuz i was permanently grounded from the internet, and my (boy)friend who is gay as well she won't let spend the night any more.

That sucks that your friend can't spend the night and stuff anymore... crying
My mom found out my friend(s) were bi and she threatens me to stop hanging out with them. She is an ultra-homophobe and thinks gay is a disease.
One of my friends that is bi, gay, whatever happens to be my best friend. So it really sucks, we have to sneak hanging out... :[
Unlike old times... flashback:
