Glacier took the cuff in good graces, she wanted him to be strong and he gave a slight nod, he could be strong - he'd survived on his own for a few days already right? Lots of pups wouldn't be able to do that, lots of them would have gone out and gotten themselves killed by bears or other wolves..or who knows what. Not that hiding under a bush had done him much good but Glacier didn't think about that. "I'm sorry" He told her "I'll try to be strong" He concluded in a determined voice as he finished up what was left of the hare.
He tried to hurry - he didn't want to get left behind and he was sure he could keep up as long as she didn't run everywhere at full speed or anything like that. "I'm finished, i'll keep up" He told her standing up and giving a slight wag of his tail - he felt much better now that he had something in his stomach.

"Good." She simply told him when he said he would try to be strong. She really did hope he would keep up with his words. As much as Penthesilea didn't particularly like males she would do her best to keep this pup alive. He was after all the first new member of the pack and as such deserved to be given a chance to prove himself.
"Well, we best get moving then. We have a lot of ground to cover before nightfall." At some point she would need to find them a safe place to sleep, but for now she just wanted to keep moving, the more ground they covered the greater her chance of finding her old pack member was. Penthesilea turned and began padding along the way she had been before she had discovered the pup hiding in the bushes. She would keep up a decent pace for them, slow enough so that Glacier wouldn't tire quickly but fast enough that they would make a good dent in their travels before the night.

With a last look at the remain of the hare Glacier hurried to follow at Penthesilea's heel's. Thankfully she set a decent pace and though he couldn't dawdle he didn't have any trouble keeping up with her. He just hoped he could keep it up until she choose to stop. He would he told himself, he wouldn't fail her so soon after she gave him a chance. Besides he didn't want to find out what happened if you disappointed a queen
