They were getting paid for taking them? Kimberly was double sold then regardless of whatever amount of aid the checks ended up being. The blonde nodded then turned her attention to the puppy eared girl who was by default hers. " I'll help you pick out your own name in just a bit." Though she'd grown accustom to her name Kim had never been overly fond of it and she wasn't about to just saddle this kid with any old name that might grow to hate. Sure the girl only looked like a toddler but still she was most likely smart enough to know what she did and didn't like in a name
The girl tilted her head to one side in a typically canine, and yet sometimes also feline, fashion which caused the bells on her hair ties and choker to jingle. A small smile blossomed follow by a soft "Okay."
That settled Kimberly returned her attention to the short women before her " What sort of things will happen on these visits?" The kids all seemed happy and healthy looking enough but the con woman still wanted to know just how they planned to experiment with them.

"Yooouuu," Drix said, moving to her knees in front of the boy, "look like a foo dog! I love foo dogs!" She hauled him into a hug, ignoring or oblivious to his incredulous look. Then she pulled back again, grinning at him. "The Chinese call the Rui Shi, which means Auspicious Lions, which is a good thing--"
He reached up a tiny hand and covered her mouth with it. "You talk lots," he told her with a nod.
She nodded, unable to speak with his hand over her mouth.

"Actually they ARE foo dogs." Apoxi said pleasantly. "Well, crossbreeds between a foo dog's dna and the dna of a cloud nymph. Jillian here is their half sister - she's part cloud nymph part western dragon." the little woman said proudly, causing Jill to mimic her look.
Smiling at Kim, Apoxi shrugged, "It's just an observational visit. My partner wishes to observe the physical changes that happen in their growth and with the dna they've been given. They may take that time to play around at the labs or ask questions about their dna, or even meet their DNA donors."

Kimberly had had to work hard not to snort when the little boy had effectively hushed her sibling. Heh, maybe a kid really would be good for Drix, especially this kid; even if he was a fluffy haired bronze skinned half breed from some place she'd never heard of before. If nothing else watching them interact over the coming days would provide plenty of entertainment. Briefly she wondered if her own kid was going to be as amusing.
The pink haired girl seemed focused on the conversation at hand green eyes flicking between everyone in the group while a hand squished into one of her large poofy pigtails. "Meetings will be nice," she piped up suddenly although there wasn't much certainty in her tone.
Kim nodded " Okay then, I don't have a problem with that and uh have fun with Jillan." Sure the other little girl looked harmless but really a dragon! Kimberly was starting to think she and Drix had really lucked out on this and knowing her sister the whole foo dog thing would send her over the moon. She eyed her sibling warily "Don't get any weird ideas okay?" These were kids first and really weird if cute experiments second.

"I won't!" Drix chimed happily. "We need to go ball shopping!" she added in the very next breath. As if it was perfectly logical.
Well, for Drix it probably was.

"Okay I just need you two to sign for them then and I can go." Apoxi said, taking out a small stack of papers and a pen. The papers were almost totally filled out and needed only the siblings' names on a few pages.
"There we go. Have a nice day." the woman stated, waving.
Jillian laughed, "Bye bye!"
