Tennant did an amazing job. And that episode was great. And tennant turned out better than eccleston. And that should not be possible. And Colin Baker didnt end doctor who, that b*****d who was chairman of the BBC did.

Te cuntarse (IOW the chairman of the BBC) EMPLOYED Colin Baker and accepted every crappy script that was passed through. I mean, some of his episodes were a blast! Its just the ones that make you ashamed to be a fan of the doctor.... *shiver*... Yeah I guess Tennant did an OK job, but I just don want anyone to try and ruin the doctor again. And he did NOT top Eccleston. Christopher Ecclestion was a doctor for our time, snappy, snazzy, quick, and, well, blokeish xd . But Tennant seems to be too... Formal... So whatever. My opinion razz And yush I am very picky. ESPECIALLY when it comes to Science Fiction - if it doesn't go ther way I want it, I go blammo and don't shut up about it for hours. Like now xd . I mean, if he wants to top Tom Baker, he's never gonna do it. Its not possible. He may top him in acting HOURS, but never in how many fans Baker has *puffs out chest hapilly*.

Hairy Priest seffy_chan Hairy Priest- you must remember it is set next year in 2006. Oh, good point! I forget details like that... sweatdrop On a side note, does anybody know what that song was that played when the Doctor was picking out his wardrobe? I kinda liked it. smile
I believe it was by the Mull Historical Society. No idea what the song is called though.

My opinion razz They always try to have the new Doctor seem distinct from his predecessor, so moving away from a "bloke-ish" portrayal is almost certainly intentional on their part. I'm not sure I'd call the 10th Doctor "formal". His attire, perhaps, but his personality thus far has been more clownish than the 9th. I rather like his new outfit... if the powers-that-be were really out to kill the show they'd go with something more like that hideously garish abomination that Colin Baker got stuck with.

David Tennant still needs to prove to me that he can play the doctor, until he does that Chris Eccleston is (to me)the best doctor in the history of the show: (again, my opinion).

He is NOT an idiot mad But he is VERY nitpicky... Tom only has SO many fans because he was the longest running doctor. You (and me so don't hink i'm singling you out here as Tom's only fan) grew up with him being THE doctor, its only Natural for us to think of him as the best... But my friend Todd (who just got into WHO) thinks that Eccleston is the best, because that was HIS first doctor.. Really.. don't you think your being just a bit biased? Tennant has got his good points, just give him a chance. Its not Cheating on Tom Baker, its embraceing a new Doctor. heart heart heart

I loved all the little political quirks.
"Don't you think she looks tired?"
AND the Casanova ones, and since it looks like there's more to come from that line I'm over the moon. x3

one of my favourite things about the christmas invasion was the aliens the Sycorax because they were one of the most evil aliens ever. Plus they're cool

I absolutely LOVED the Christmas Invasion, I thought it was a great way to introduce the new Doctor... and what a FANTASTIC job he did (in my opinion). I must admit when I heard Chris was leaving, I was a little worried, I wondered who would be able to fill his shoes, and when I heard it would be David Tennat I was unsure what to think because I hadn't seen him in much at all at the time. But his performance, to me, seemed fantastic, I liked his quirky personality, I can't wait to see the new series in Spring and see more of him, especially after seeing the season trailer at the end of the Christmas show ^^

scorchio_central I liked the episode, but i found it funny when the Tardis landed and the driver of the Royal mail van never got out.. i know I would if a large flying blue box hit MY van 3nodding Another weird thing is that the wake of the Sycorax ship was strong enough to shatter windows all over the place, but didn't cause any of the A-positive people to fall off the roof. Though I suppose you could argue the people that followed them up managed to restrain them... What is that weird oval-shaped glass building called anyway?
