The differance you're finding is between the Players Guide(3.5) and the Setting book(3.0). The PG pumped the regional feats and drooped bonus gear, it also made region feats avaliable afters first and to people from
different regions if they had Knowledge(Local) for the correct area. On top of that they also made regional.

I don't actually have either book.

I'll forgo the regional feat and gear for simplicity. Should basically be done now. Adding phyiscal description and last of gear. Finally figured out what to spend that extra gold on, a masterwork tool in the form of barber's shaving razor (+2 to profession barber checks)

For you, Level 1. I mean that literally, I had two second level slots that are experienced players who are joining the main group a bit later in the game.

Everyone else shall be lvl 1.

Awh, in that respect then, we'll all forego regional feats and items.

Updated the front post a bit, and the rules.

Gonna start solidifying my homebrew rules and we'll see if anyone disagrees with anything. Which I would hope they wouldn't, nor do I think they shall, but hey possibilities.

I've been a bit busy today, so I'm gonna do some MINOR preparation if any today.

I'll be doing major prep though tomorrow, and hopefully shall be ready to start the campaign by tomorrow night.

That's because DMing is bloody hard work, add very little result in the earliest stages. It looks like your still off to a good start.

13 years, started with an old blue box, 2e up through 3.5 and Pathfinder since alpha release. Started as a DM before I was a player, I'd say that time is split 50/50 since then.

.... I'm running a CE and I'm looking for him to avoid Player Character kill. If your looking to play a Paladin give me a heads up and we can put our heads together on creating entertaing and non-disruptive byplay. Fortuantly Pathfinder loosed the Paladins choke collar.

Hi guys. I got invited by Insanity for this campaign. Currently I convinced him to give the Tome of Battle a look; I plan to choose one of the 3 base classes in there. We have a Fighter already, so it looks like either Crusader or Swordsage for me. Meatshield that is as killable as a cockroach, or Monk/Combat Rogue Swiss Army knife?

*If Crusader, I plan to make a polearm lockdown tank. If Swordsage, I'll be a jerk and get a 7 in CHA so I can have him look like Rock Lee. Yes those bushy eyebrows give a penalty to CHA. 3nodding

I feel like I'm failing mostly due to everyday life. I've just been screwing up a lot in the past, and as of late my speech hasn't been optimal.

What I mean by this is my posting (The little descriptions I do, and my own posts)

So when I said that I was failing, I just feel sort of off. While leaving school today to put up the chairs. I accidentally knocked one off, almost hit someone >.> Also feel hyper. So I feel like I need to relax is all.

To be honest my first DMing session was IRL, and then it went flat due to IRL issues of us not being able to be together. It was alright.

My second DMing session was online, and is still going in my Northlands of Gimle homebrew campaign. I feel that I've become quite experienced since then, but I still do slip up on remembering things (Like last night when I forgot unarmed strikes count as light weapons)

My third DM experience was IRl, and it was pretty good. My only fault was that I indulged the players a bit too much, and was a bit too physically visual with the combats. What I mean by this is that I would get up and sort of stage-act them out for the players. They enjoyed it, but it took up time.

That game soon died purely due to the amount of time we had to play IRL, and the fact that we had like ... 8-10 players IRL... and many MANY distracts ><

This shall be my fourth DM experience, and the only games that I've really played in have either been my one and only IRL game, and then my own Gimle Campaign. lol. I'm joining other games right now though.

So yeah, anyway, I've rambled long enough, my main point is that no one is perfect, I'm a little hard on myself, I would very much like to improve my competence, but I feel like I am doing damn alright already. lol

I thank you for the compliments.

Anyway, I'm gonna go take a shower, then eat, and then get to work on prepping the first half of this campaign up. (BG 1) Hopefully we can start by the weekend. This is provided of course that everyone has their characters made, and ready, and that I'm done prep.

If not, beginning or middle of next week if we're lucky.

I'll be posting my homebrew up later today, and letting you guys take a look. Make sure to tell me if you dislike or disagree with anything. Also, if you find anything unbalancing make sure to let me know. I believe everything should be balanced and in order however, as that's what I have spent most of my time on. Weeding through my collection of homebrew and such. lol.

Hmmm, depending on how you play, the way I'm going to be playing alignment might be odd

So we'll see what happens, don't worry about anything I say >.> Food time!

And I'll read some stuff as I eat, >.> It's too dim in here -Turns on my light-

So I've found my way here, huzzah.

I've read through everything here and I don't see anyone gunning for a roguish class, so I think I'd like to fill that slot. (Unless someone else is planing on playing one and I just missed it, which is entirely possible seeing how I'm currently home sick |D ) But anyways, I was wondering if you would allow content from the Complete Scoundrel book. There is a prestige class in there that I'd like to level into because I've been dying to try it out ever since I saw it. It's the Cloaked Dancer. To get the most out of it, I'd also like to make use of skill tricks, if those would be allowed.
PostPosted: Tue Mar 09, 2010 5:20 pm

Okay, have changed my mind, because I just want to really try a game using Pathfinder Material for the most part, and also using any books that are not strictly pathfinder material just adds more things for me to check up on, to make sure are pathfinderized and such, and then just more factors to add into the game and what not.

So from this point on we're only using the basics that I laid out, and whatever house-rules or homebrew I am willing to put out.

As for the skill trick system >< Since it's from another book, I doubt it for the moment, but I'll check.... ><

People are gonna be disappointed at me ><

Bah, that's no biggie. What the DM wants, the DM gets. It's not like you're changing things up RIGHT before we start playing.

I'll likely stick with playing a rogue, or possibly a bard, I've never tried one of those before, and I've been meaning to give it a shot.

Or maybe a cleric. I love clerics, always have.
