Maybe Alice didn't need to win, if she could catch the rocket without defeating her pokemon, that would work too... But maybe they could pull this off.
"Thunder fang, again, Chewy!"That leech life was getting too much, and the zubat wasn't looking nearly as beat up as he was. But he had to keep trying, for Alice. He struck out at the bat with electrically charged fangs.350/800 HP

"Leech Life!" Zinnia shouted.
As Zyk executed his attack, he was thinking fast. After this battle, he wouldn't have very much strength to take on a second pokemon, if the officer had another. He hoped that they didn't have another, but just in case, they would just have to run as soon as possible.
Oh, where was Shadow Mew? With her around, things would be so much simpler! He didn't like to admit it, but the mew was stronger. Plus, she could teleport and make force fields to protect Zin, whereas he could not.

"Thunder fang, again!" Alice kept one hand on her back pocket, ready to get out her cuffs and give chase as soon as she was defeated. She couldn't run nearly as fast as Chewy, but she'd sure as heck try. Of course even if she caught the Rocket, without any concrete crime or evidence, they could only hold her under suspect for 24 hours. That didn't matter, she was going to resist arrest, and that would be enough. Chewy lashed out again. He was Alice's partner, her only one, she depended on him.200/800 HP

"Again! Leech Life!" Zinnia called, getting very confident about the whole thing. She'd just finish up in the stadium, make a run for it, grab her prize money, and conveniently disappear... She could run pretty fast, or at least she thought that she could. If all else failed, she was sure that Shadow Mew would conveniently show up.

Chewy was hit, and very quickly collapsed. Too much energy had been drained from the poor police-pup. "Chewy, return!" Alice recalled chewy with the pokeball in one hand and pulled out her handcuffs with the other.
"You're under arrest, Rocket! Just give up and make things easier on yourself!" Alice started running across the stadium towards the other trainer. 0/800 HP

"Let's get out of here, Zyk!" Zinnia cried, spinning on her heel and making a dash for the exit.
The tired zubat flapped after Zinnia. He would continue to protect her!
