Anita grinned at the Italian as she tucked her plastic fork into the container of her chicken, closing and clipping it shut. She didn't get to finish, but there was a small mini-fridge in the back section for unfinished lunches or brought ones, so it would rest in there until she took it home and finished it off. That's what usually happened, she often bought two courses for herself; double meat, double meal.

Numbers exchanged, she flipped her phone closed with a sharp clack and pocketed it once more before standing and pushing her chair in. It may have been short, but it really was a great thing to see them both again, and as a surprise; this was one surprise she could really get behind.

There it was again, 'Game Lady Anita'. It seemed superfluous to still call her that, but she didn't care. It was her name from him now, he could call her anything he wanted and she would still respond. "Thank you both for dropping by! It really means a lot to me," her grin couldn't be wiped off no matter what now.

Today was an excellent day.

Nodding to Alex's advice, she parroted something similar. Her phone might not be on all the time, but it was definitely on most of it and it wouldn't matter what she was doing if one of these two or Zeke called; she may not have known them long, but they were family now, she could feel it. Now what Josh had said made a lot more sense, and with everyone saying it, the feelings were cemented, preserved. Suddenly, Anita felt a warm squeeze--not too tight--and she let out a quiet "oof" of surprise, followed by a chuckle as she returned the gesture. Those words, they were special. Her grin grew, nearly ear to ear, and as the two women drew back from the hug, Anita's green eyes traveled over to Zul. His expression was bittersweet; the kind one would see on a child that was having so much fun but knew the day was ending.

He opened his arms, floating closer to her but not drawing her in as Alex had, not taking her by surprise. Really, him not doing so took her by more surprise, and Anita laughed before closing the distance and wrapping her arms around his neck, pulling him into a tight hug. "See you then, Zul. Thank you, again." Her new family.
