Scylla was giving Virgo the 'wtf' face as the other girl picked up a sign. Seriously. "Keep using RANGED weapons, Virgo, don't-!"
Too late. She watched the monster struggling against her power and concentrated. Squeeze. Crush! The monster was only made of stone, after all. The least she could do while her overeager friend tried to melee a gargoyle as tall as she was with a street sign was...
Keep it down.
Don't let go. The prey will escape. a more reactionary part of her mind thought. And the tentacles reacted, the two with grips on the gargoyle's wings clutching tighter, the third sliding up the stony body slowly to try and get a grip on its neck.

THWACK!
The gargoyle youma most definitely didn't see Virgo with the sign, far too concentrated on trying to get airborne, and thus the senshi got a clean shot to the head. Unfortunately, being made of stone, all it did was knock one of the decorative nose-pieces off the creature. It screeched and flapped its wings as if trying to knock Virgo away either with the wings themselves or by the power of the gust. Eyes glowing brighter, it tugged against the tentacles and tried to lunge for its prey, still screeching angrily.
Thankfully for Virgo, the youma's attention was instantly pulled elsewhere when Scylla ordered her tentacles to crush. They did just that, and with a snap both of the youma's hands broke off at the wrists. That seemed to only make it angrier, however the distraction served to let Scylla's other tentacles get a better grip. Now quite properly caught, the youma began to thrash around, trying desperately to get its wings free so he could fly. As it stood, all it could do was bounce backwards in an effort to shake the tentacles.

Sometimes she forgot she had never demonstrated the trademark Zodiac strength to Scylla. It was the fact that she was a Zodiac, bolstered by more practice since she had left Barren Pines than most could dream of, that led Virgo to stand when the youma was trying to blow her away.
Then she dropped the sign, and in one smooth, practiced move, axe-kicked the youma's head off. Just in case that didn't kill it, she leapt back, and returned to Scylla's side.
"I'm a Zodiac," she said, balancing on one foot to rub her heel. "We are kind of a big deal." Virgo alone, not so much. But her team, yes. So much yes. "Thanks for holding it, Scy!"
But was it really dead, was Virgo's question. She turned back to the gargoyle youma.

Scylla couldn't help being anxious when her friend got up close and personal with the stone monster. It was already habit for her to fret. Especially when the tentacles snapped the youma's arms off. For a second she was terrified that the beast was going to get away, before the largest of the tentacles found its was around the creature's neck.
The head of which was promptly chopped off by a sharp kick from Virgo. the center tentacle unfurled, rose higher in the air. (Someone was screaming as it rose above the roof of the single-store buildings.) Ad it paused, as if waiting for the stone creature to somehow fight its way free of the grip on its wings.
Which gave way under the pressure with a cracking noise, leaving the stone beast armless, wingless, and headless. And if it tried to move, by all that was good, Scylla would drop that tree-trunk thick tentacle right down on its body.

Virgo had a kick that could have rivaled Chuck Norris.
With one swift blow, the youma's head went flying, sailing backwards and crashing through the class window of Elizabeth's Secret. A few stray mannequins were bowled over in the process, but by the looks of no one else was seriously hurt. With that lack of the head, the youma crumbled into a large pile of pebbles, signaling its ultimate defeat.

It crumbled to dust, and Virgo was left to guiltily contemplate the window of Elizabeth's Secret for a moment. Well... maybe she'd get Scy to come with her and buy a lot of stuff so they could replace the window.
Then she crossed to the rubble and started to comb through it. They hadn't seen the monster take any starseeds, and she didn't know if it was possible to recover any after, but--nothing. She sat back on her heels and turned to look at the dark-haired senshi, smiling. "It's dead. Are you okay, Scy? You look kind of fretful!"
And she stood up and walked back to the senshi of the kraken, looped her arm through Scylla's, and just smiled.

As the gargoyle crumbled, so too did Scylla's power, fading away, slipping beneath the surface of the concrete noiselessly. There was no small amount of relief in the raven-headed senshi's voice as she moved over to Virgo, bending to help her sort through the rubble. She assumed Virgo was looking for any of the glowing objects that were starseeds.
Nothing. She sat back on her heels, standing as Virgo moved over to her, letting the girl who was just a quarter of an inch taller than herself slide an arm through hers. "We need to get out of here, Virgo." she said simply, and tugged the other senshi into a run.
Guided her companion down the sidewalk, past trees, making care that they were running around the same speed. Until they disappeared from sight of the shopping district. "I really hope they didn't have any cameras in there." She said finally, leaning against one of the trees with a laugh. "I've... wow, I can't believe what we did." it was an almost breathless confession.

She stopped under a light, nervously eyed the depths of the trees, and then smiled at Scylla again. "Oh, probably they did," she said, "But it's okay. I mean, unless you wanted to go shopping there as a senshi. Remember? No one will ever be able to connect who you really are."
Virgo was idly trying to climb the light pole, slipping because it was icy, but eventually she made it to the top. Then she took her seat and looked upwards for the stars, kicking her heels. There was nothing quite like taking down a youma, especially when the only thing you got for it was a bruised heel. (Which would hurt in the morning, sure, but for now, it was fine.)
"Why not," she asked, "it's what we're supposed to do! Now, kicking the head off a Negaverse agent, that would be pretty unbelievable. I have never kicked the head off a real person."
Hopefully she wouldn't ever.
"Are you tired?"

Scylla watched her friend slip and slide her way up the light pole, hopping her way up the tree closest to it. She was getting oddly accustomed to being in trees. "I don't think what we are supposed to do includes hundreds of dollars in property damage." she told her friend severely. "And I'm not sure I could bring myself to TRY and kick the head off of a living person."
When Virgo asked if he was tired, she caught herself replying with a yawn. "Yes." she admitted. Let her body slide out of the tree, catching herself easily on both heels.

Virgo joined Scylla on the ground. "Well, yes, property damage is bad! Avoid it when possible... but I think everyone's had pretty heavy renegotiations for insurance already. They should be covered."
...Right? Aw, man, Scylla, why did you have to bring her down like that. She'd had a plan to help them replace it! And now she was worried. The poor people who worked there... what if someone robbed the place while the window was shattered? "You should head home, then," said Virgo; "I'm going to go annoy my brother." This was halfway a lie. She was going to go keep an eye on Elizabeth's Secret, and then go pop in to say hello to Grayson or Leo if he was home afters.
It was a good plan.

"Are you sure?" Scylla didn't ask Virgo where she was planning to go, or what she was planning to do; she didn't harass her or act clingy and super-protective.
If she could tell the future, she might have.
"Well, if you're sure, then I'll get out of here." she said finally. Leaned in to give the other senshi a hug. "Have a good night. I'll see you on patrol soon."

Hugs! Virgo smiled happily, and then nodded. "This Saturday, okay?" None of the Zodiacs could meet her to patrol that night, and it was a good idea to patrol as often as you were capable of patrolling.
"Ninight, Scy!" She waved as the other senshi disappeared into the trees, and then turned on her heels to keep a watch on the store.
