Amused by the scene of dancers before her, Varete settled back into her seat with a smug grin. Looks like they're having fun. But her attention was soon diverted by the waiter before her, as she gestured him over for another drink. The poor waiter looked frazzled, as if he hadn't expected the several hundred of kids or so, that had arrived that night. Not that, that was any of her concern of course! That was his job, not hers.
Paying little attention the crowd in front of her, Varete set down her drink gently, the ice in the glass clinking softly against each other.
Out of nowhere, she suddenly heard a female voice behind her ask, "Have we met?" Puzzled by the strange (yet cliche) question, Varete's eyes swirled to the wall, ready to politely dismiss the question with a firm 'no'..
If it wasn't for the sight that greeted her.
"Rea!" She exclaimed, as she offered the girl a friendly grin, jumping up to envelope her in a hug. Wow, Varete hadn't seen the girl since.. Christmas. Not that they had gotten to see each other much, since they had both been shopping for Christmas gifts then. Well, Rea had been. Since that time, Varete hadn't encountered Rea since.. not that she had expected to. Destiny city was by no means, a small city.
Skipping the formalities, she pulled the girl over to the seat beside her to sit. Only then, did Varete notice the girl's outfit in the bright gleam of the bar's light. With one hand on her hip, she gave the the girl a glance ripe with friendly disapproval.
"Don't tell me with a fabulous outfit like that, that you aren't gonna dance?"

Parker came back to Tate with two bottles of water. He didn't drink, and he didn't ask her preference. She drove him around a lot so he'd buy a drink for her, but not alcohol. Just a matter of personal preference.
"Here," he said, passing one to her. People filtered in and out, some bumping into him, others whispering apologies for their closeness. Eh... why had he agreed to come?
Oh right, fighting with Dani.
His eyes roamed over the crowd, but saw no one familiar. He leaned against the nearest wall and said to Tate, "Do you know anyone here?" There were a lot of people his age, but not a lot that he knew. Weird. Well, not really that weird. Parker wasn't really a social butterfly.
Not in the slightest.

She couldn't help but grin as she heard Ume's voice over the music, glad that they weren't standing right next to a speaker. It was loud, but not so bad that she had to ask her friend to repeat herself half a dozen times just to be heard.
"It's amazing, isn't it? Just how many people can fit into one space?" Cordelia kept Ume's hand in her own until they stopped in a spot that didn't seem overly occupied, finally releasing the other girl's hand so that she could turn and face her. "Thanks for agreeing to come with me. I know big crowds probably aren't your thing, but..."
But every other time she made plans to hang out with Ume something came up. She was determined to keep that from happening tonight. Determined.

He hadn't been able to shake the feeling even after walking inside. He shouldn't be here...no, he -really- shouldn't be here. Z needed him, even if Z's mother wouldn't let the blonde anywhere near the comatose kid.
As the others wandered off in their various directions, Demy uncharacteristically lingered behind. The music was pulsing, the lights flashing, really the place practically screamed Demetri Wright. This was his turf, this was where he was -comfortable-.
Tonight this wasn't the case.
So he lingered, the smile fading from his face and those acidic green eyes roaming around but glancing most often at the door. He should leave, go back to the hospital or if he -had- to back to his room to wait for news. He shouldn't be out, he shouldn't be partying...
And yet, for some reason, he stayed. Still lingering in the back, still looking conflicted.

"It's alright!" Ume called back raising one hand to her ear still grinning. "Something always comes up! But at least this time we're out and having a good time!" She laughed and waved the glowstick from Demy "I don't think I've ever had one of these outside of holidays!"

He had wandered around, any attempts to actually get him to join in on the dancing were met with a shaky 'no' and a swift walk in the other direction. He was just -not- into this tonight, though at the very least his friend was having fun? And her friends were too. It was something at least...
But he was still missing Z.
Eventually he found himself wandering in the general direction of the DJ Booth. No real reason in mind, but if he kept on the move then it'd keep people from trying to grab him and drag him into the party, right? Right!

The warehouse was so full of energy. Dozens of bodies moved to a beat that pounded through the very walls of the building. They came from a variety of places in life; rich and poor, teens and young adults. None of that seemed to matter though as in this case they only need have one thing in common: a love for music, a need to escape... Just being in the warehouse was enough to maybe instill some sort of camaraderie.
Or some sort of bullshit like that.
In reality, given the various attacks around town, it was probably a bad idea to have so much positive energy building up in one place. It was bound to attract something that most of the people within the building weren't prepared to deal with, something that those who were prepared to deal with it had come here to escape knowledge of.
As a matter of fact, it had attracted something.
Given his closeness to the source of the disturbance in the 'force', Demy might have felt it. The dark energy might even feel familiar to him, and to any others who had aligned themselves with the Negaverse if they dared wander too close to it. It seemed to pulse just a little bit stronger as the boy neared, perhaps feeding just a bit off of his mood as it waited for the song to change.

It had started as an aimless wandering direction, but the closer he got the more he felt like he should keep going. It was like a pull of sorts, this familiar sense of energy, and it was only when he was too close to really change his mind and go back did he finally realize what it felt like.
Negaverse.
...Sort of. It certainly didn't feel like a lieutenant like him but there was something here aligned to the same side as him and it was nearby. But just..what the friggin hell was it doing in a DJ booth of all things? Had the Negaverse found out how to turn -music- evil?
..Forgive the boy, he wasn't very familiar with the things aligned with his side of this war. Nor was his mind really on that war tonight.

The entire atmosphere shifted as the song switched over from light and bouncy to something introduced by a haunting piano intro. A heavy, almost menacing beat joined in at the twenty second mark causing some of the revelers to glance around as brighter of the colored lights dropped out to give life to a heavy strobe. Everything seemed to be well staged as though this were the event that everyone had been waiting for; the great entertainment that no one had expected. It was all fun and games until something rather large in the back corner moved, shaking the area immediately around it. A pair of feral eyes opened, glowing brightly from the dark corner as they turned to look upon the young man. Upon blinking the color shifted from ultraviolet to eye searing green, the beast's mouth opening to reveal teeth that resembled broken shards of black light glass. They too glowed, as did the patterns along its sides. Had the turntable just turned into... A dragon? No, it was still a table... Of sorts. Maybe. If you looked really hard and you knew what it had looked like before, but something had happened to it. Something had taken over it and it was, most certainly, ready to attack. (( The Battle Begins The Youma Appearance - A large youma with turn tables on its back, broken blacklights for teeth, glowing eyes and patterns in blacklight-responsive spraypaint on its side. HP - 40 Attacks - ??? Movement Speed - 10ft per round. Senshi/Negaverse HP - 20 (+5 for Super/Captain, +10 for Eternal/General) Attacks - Differ per individual, up to individual to determine a fair dice roll for attack (1d4 - weak, 1d6 - moderate, 1d8 strong, 1d10 mutant powers) Movement Speed - 20ft per round (additional speed can be factored in if a senshi's ability is to enhance speed). The Rules Consider this your last free round of action. Participants have the next 24 hours to either power up, if they're Negaverse or Senshi or pass out/become entranced if they're human. After 24 hours I will post further instructions about posting order & latecomers joining in.
If you are Senshi/Negaverse and participating in the battle: When you make your next post please place a colored dot on the board corresponding with your character's location, as seen on the board above. For those with Photoshop a PSD of the board can be found here. (Already positioned: Demy, Cordy, Ume, Faya & the youma) It is up to you to decide which dice to roll for your character's attacks. The number you roll, be it high or low, will determine both the accuracy and the power of the attack. (ex. I roll a 1 to attack Demy. Demy can then play this off as the attack being a miss and so on.) Game's over when the youma runs out of HP. If your character runs out of HP first consider yourself out of the game until the youma is defeated. Feel free to PM me with any questions. <3

[ Map] All of the songs so far had been so easy to dance to, each beat so easy to follow. It helped that Ume seemed to be having fun as well, giving Cordelia some joy to draw off. She wasn't all that bad at dancing either, something she would have to commend her friend on when they were able to hear each other better again. Cordelia had just been about to suggest that they pause to find bottles of water, and Rea and Demy as well, when the music shifted. The change came along with a sense of foreboding, sending a chill throughout her heated body. Something wasn't right... "Ume, I think we should try and find the others." She called out over the sound of the music, gasping as she found herself separated from her friend as the lights began to strobe. "Ume!" People were pushing, those who had been near the turntables now trying to frantically get away. What...? It was easy enough to blend in with the chaos, pushing her way through the bodies until she found a spot just beyond the reach of the lights. She drew her pen out of the small pouch she'd been carrying with her, holding it up so that she could begin her transformation. "Corvus Power, Make-up!"

"Cordelia??" She called searching, oh god... not again. Monsters and her friends just seemed to be a magnet. "MuCephi Power, Make-up!" She called as soon as she found a spot where she could hide. Please don't let the lights go up, no one needed to know she was missing.

mapFor the most part Toki had stayed in the same place- she felt it better to stay in the corner away from the masses of people. She did not understand why they liked to bump and grind like that- then again she might be the only introvert here. Things like close contact in a mass of people did not make her feel any better.
She had a half drunken soda in her hand she had picked up from a passing tray, she set it down next to her. The night seemed to grow longer as the music changed, shifted if you might say. She felt the strange power coming from deep within the building- a power that she soon let consume her. Through the massing people running for the exits no one noticed the girl shift into her negaverse outfit so easily. Scooting off her perch she moved against the flow of panicking people. She figured she knew what was near the DJ.

Map((Dice roll to determine Schee's jump, asked Skye beforehand <33)) ...Uhhhh.........
Okay, he wasn't expecting that. Then again, who would expect the turntable to suddenly become alive and end up being what looked like a dragon on glowy-crack? And then it was looking at him and god was it's mouth full of glass?!?
...This thing was ******** awesome.
"Heeey, where the hell do you get off stealing my eyes bud? I saw that eye color change, and the whole glowstick green thing is MY gig. So go on, change em to something else or I'll--" He'll what exactly? It was currently looking at him like he was nothing more than a before dinner appetizer. This was not good.
"No no no, don't look at me like that! Look, not cool on the eye stealing, but dude you don't have to EAT me. I'm on YOUR side! See see see?" People were panicing, shoving their way past each other to try and get the furthest from the mutant turntable as possible. Demy, meanwhile, moved a bit closer so he could take a bit of cover in some shadows. In walked Demetri Wright...
And out walked Scheelite.
"Seeeeee? Look man we MATCH and everything! Glowing markings, glowsticks, the whole eye thing, cmoooon we could be a badass team, dontcha think?" The youma's reaction was to sniff him. Then breathe heavily on him. It wasn't very comforting. Scheelite was starting to think that maybe, JUST maybe this was a rather bad idea. Afterall he wasn't exactly in top condition, and he had no idea just what this thing was capable of (even if it was AWESOME LOOKING, if he could keep it as a pet he would have).
But rather than open that glass filled mouth and eat him it simply exhaled once more before turning to look over the mass of people trying to shove their way towards the exit. Ooookay...well, not being eaten was a plus, and now maybe he could try something just a bit insane. He crouched (it earned a hiss of pain in the process), and then with all the crazy-jumping skills of the Negaverse he made a leap towards the back of the youma.
By the grace of one diety or another he actually -landed- on the thing and maintained a good grip. It wasn't perfect and he'd need a moment to scramble into a better position, BUT, epic mount gained! And somewhere in his mind the Final Fantasy fanfare played.

Despite the fact that she hadn't really connected with anyone yet, Tara was enjoying herself. Dancing, drinks, and strobe lights, what could be better? Actually, she could think of a lot of things that could be better, but it sure beat the way she'd been spending most nights lately.
Which meant, of course, that when the universe looked over and saw her having fun, it decided to toss a wrench in the works. Tara looked at the monster and sighed. She couldn't have spilled her drink or broken a light fixture, no. It had to be a freaking youma. A big freaking youma.
Tara moved quickly, dodging a group of fleeing partiers and ducking behind a partition. She rummaged through her pockets, nearly dropping her pen when she finally found it. For a while, she'd considered leaving it at home- why would she need it at a party?- but knew that if anyone found out, especially Aries, she'd never hear the end of it. And now, she supposed, she knew why.
For a moment, Tara had to remind herself to breathe. She inhaled, and shouted, "Aquarius Zodiac Power, Make-Up!" As her transformation ended, Aquarius drew her hood around her face, trying to blend in with the shadows around her, and looked around. There had to be something she could use nearby... she hoped.

((Since Scylla was unawakened... pass out!))
It was Jada's first time at something like this party. The sound was more hypnotic than the colors, and she had found her way to the dance floor. This wasn't what she was used to, by any means. It was exotic. It was frightening. It was amazing. She flung herself into it after a while, enjoying the feeling of the music, the beat of the music pounding as she found her way closer to the speakers among the mass of bodies.
Jada's family would pitch a fit if they found out she had dared to sneak out of Crystal to go to a party of this nature.
She never noticed the change in the atmosphere, never paused as the music grew deeper, more hypnotic. Eyes going dim as she lost consciousness, crumpling to the floor.
