Evie smiled at the man. He seemed nice, if a bit strange. But, a lot of intelligent people were a bit odd.
"It can't hurt to try." She said, looking up at her husband. It never hurt to try something new, right?"

Jesse was more angry for having been ignored than anything else. This dude was a p***k, and he wasn't allowed anywhere near his wife's cooter, no way, no how.
"Sure. Why the ******** not. If Doctor ******** here can give us a baby, I'll deal with him a couple extra minutes."

Ronchas' face suddenly darkened and the smile disappeared from his lips. "Sir, I'd like to help," he said, his voice calm and even. "But if you continue to behave this way, I'll have to ask you to leave." His incensed eyes locked to Jesse's, unblinking, and the rest his face went completely blank, as though waiting for an answer.

FINALLY the guy was acting reasonably! Holy Hell, that'd been creepy as ********. Was this dude nuts? Well, either way, it was relieving to get the anger back.
"So what's so special about this serum, huh?" he asked, leaning back in his chair and crossing his arms, "Science? Magic? Both?"

Evie, for her part, just looked between her husband and the doctor, then shook her head. "Sweetheart, please don't get us kicked out of here." She murmured, resting her forehead on her hand. Please be reasonable, Jesse!

Ronchas understood that the woman was pretty desperate, but honestly, this man was nearly intolerable, even now. Still, Ronchas was willing to put up with it. It was his life's work, the serum. "Mostly science. But I can't deny the possibility that there is magic involved. I used a few processes and methods that couldn't quantifiably have worked the way they did. Yet, the outcome was the serum."
He sat back in his chair, regaining some of his composure, though not completely. His mask had already slipped and he wasn't about to go right back, since Jesse apparently needed a more dominant force asserting itself over him, for him to behave himself.

It wasn't that Jesse needed someone dominant, it was that he needed someone who wasn't creepy as ********. This guy had problems, that was clear, and it made him a bit wary about him being the one to finally (possibly) give them children. His real anger was long-gone, and now that he'd drawn out the guy's "true form" (so to speak), he was just as relaxed as ever.
"It doesn't do anythin' weird, right? I mean, the babies'll be healthy n' not part animal? We saw some places like that. Not really into wolf-babies." Poor kids would be teased mercilessly.

Evie, for her part, stayed quiet. She was interested in this too. Every little place had it's own idiosyncrasies.

"Unless you have latent wolf DNA, that would be impossible." he answered, raising an eyebrow. "However, with the serum, I can usually eliminate certain genetic diseases such like Hypertrichosis, if that is actually an issue," Ronchas added with a smile. He was of course, referring to the disease that causes the unruly growth of hair over the entirety of the body, sometimes referred to as the werewolf disease, but he doubted that the couple would understand the reference.

Jesse snorted, giving his fist honest grin of the visit.
"Pfft, naaah. No wolfmen in the family," he said with a little shake of the head. perhaps the man was more intelligent than her let on? Or perhaps it had to do with his own genetic abnormalities...
"I got CIPA, though. I'd really...like to avoid that. If we could, please."
Chronic Insensitivity to Pain with Anhidrosis, of course. Jesse couldn't feel pain and as such had to give himself frequent exams to avoid infection and the like. He also didn't sweat and couldn't feel...well. Sexual release, let's say.
Baby-making with him was strictly for baby-making.

Evie gently squeezed his hand. That was another worry about them having children. Oh, Strange genetic abnormalities.
"As far as I know, my family comes back human." she mentioned with a bit of a smile. No real big disorders from the small family she knew of either.

Ronchas' eyes widened in recognition of the disorder. "Yes, that would be a thing to avoid." He jotted the disorder down in his notes so he made sure to take that specific genetic coding out and replace it with a copy of that sequence from her DNA before he readied both for insemination. When he was done, he looked back up at the two of them. "Did you have any other concerns or questions?"

Jesse looked up to the ceiling, deep in thought, and then shook his head. He wrapped an arm around Evie and gave her temple a little kiss.
"Not me. How 'bout you, hon?"

Evie smiled up at him, shaking her head. "I think we've gotten everything covered;" She said, squeezling his hand. She loved you, Jesse, so very dearly. Even if you were an a** and brought out the worst in people.

"Then I can give you the shot whenever you're ready and you'll have 72 hours to make the best use of it you can." Ronchas, of course, tried to be as polite as possible with that statement, though it could be seen that he had to say that kind of thing a lot. "A week after that, come back and see me and we'll make sure it took. Sometimes it takes a second try, but it's very rare that it doesn't succeed on the first one."
