Darth Xanis They plan on using the Call of Duty series to secretly create a new breed of supersoldiers that they can use as they wish in wars and covert missions. XD Actually, that would be pretty kick a**.... Glad I thought of it.The game from the Megadeth song so they could use it to ride the game like your mom.

Well, if they transform the internet into some kind of Orwellian people-monitoring system, then I'll just give up the internet. I often wonder what my life would evolve into, if I stopped using the internet.

Why am i not surprised,everyone who is smart enough,should do alot of research right now,before we loose our freedom,in those time's Flee to the mountins,for you are safer out there then in babylon,the lord said come out of her!.
No im not christan or jewish..because i believe the religion world has fallen,im a believer of Jesus,and i love & fear God =]
Anyway i take the bible seriously,Lucifer's time is coming,he is running out of time,so he is pushing fast.,be strong! God is your shield,and everything else,hold fast to what faith you have left,for evil comes!,prepare & repent ^^ lol heart

Cast off your static beliefs. Cast off your ideas of good and evil. Cast off you ideas of being able to flee(cause there won't be anywhere to hide). Cast off the bible and other sacred texts, UNLESS you take information from them all. Either you believe in all of them telling part of a story and make strides to piece it together, or its all useless to you. Finally, CAST OFF ALL FEAR! Like a ninja doing a cicada skin shed, just cast it off and reveal the god within.

Sciamancer If they actually go on such a huge mission, and it works, I will be very surprised. So will everyone else: prepare for mass riots. I will just not get internet if that happens. Boycott! We just have to get enough people to stop using the internet IMMEDIATELY after this happens. It will make the Internet2 not profitable. What exactly can we do to prevent this, anyway? Lemme ask you a question.
Did people boycott tv once they took real content and "real" news off the air? Did people boycott the radio after it was only made for people with a "proper" licence to do radio shows? It's been some time back that they did.
But no. No one boycotted it. The majority of people were just as happy, or they "got used to it" over time, being a sack of crap.
And look here we are now, the internet on its last downfall. The last little piece of string that keeps free and individual news open and free to anyone who wants to see.
Frankly, I don't understand how all of this info-hiding/with holding and lack of free ability to share thoughts has not been proclaimed similar to book burning or intercepting with peoples rights to speak freely to the public, violating of course the amendment.

Check out my Quest in the Signature biggrin . So In a way you are saying that we are going to do something somewhat like China did with the Tibetan capital (I belive that was right). When the protests broke out and China had google censor it for no one knew that their was a act against the government, for no one got the same ideas? Chuck Norris Demands it D:<.

I've heard about them doing this for the past 5 or 6 years and they still haven't made steps towards censoring or controlling the internet, leading me to believe it's absolute BS. As for the legal action taken by Congress recently, they aren't just running around censoring websites, they're going after websites that allow for pirating. Also, when actually reading about Internet2 one will realize that they're not forcing its use upon all of America. It's simply a very fast high bandwidth broadband connection allowing for over 100Gb/s, which is helpful for educational facilities and many other organizations that are already using it. Internet2 is basically a network of optical connections allowing for extremely fast download/upload speeds in order to cut down on "waiting times" if you will. It's already being used, and it's not like they're forcing people to switch to Internet2. Basically, it's an education and research project. You guys are getting worried over nothing. And I know someone is going to say "That's what they WANT you to think." Well, this thing has been around for the past 4 years and they still haven't implemented it? Why not? If it's working already, why wouldn't they switch over to it? OH! And the part about anonymity while surfing the net? You obviously don't know how IPs work. XD Sorry to burst your bubble, Truther, but not only is that girl a religious nut, she doesn't take in any evidence nor give any reason as to why the government would want to take down the internet.
For one, the government is only as powerful as they can control us. If we go nuts, they are screwed. That's why the banning of alcohol was a problem.
Pissing us off is not in their interest, keeping us brain-dead and happy is.
Also, the government is well known for being greedy with territory and currency, so they'd most likely would keep the internet to keep making that big bank from online businesses.
As they say kids, the government ain't evil, it's just a neutral greedy b*****d. =D

I don't mind if the topic is about religion, sure, but something tells me it isn't. Not to mention not everyone is religious such as myself.
Take my advice, keep religion where it belongs or just dash it away. It only hurts you when you want it the most.

TrutherMei people spread awareness on yahoo answers, youtube, facebook, journals and blogs, or you can be brave (i'm not) and go out into the real world and pass out (or put on windshields - in parking lots to grocery stores, walmarts, libraries, schools, colleges, movie theaters etc.) little business cards telling them to research the topics in this guild. your just as tracked sand traced here as you are there. so why do u feel cowardly?
