Certainly a strange way to do things...

Somehow, a letter leading to a child seems somewhat off in his point of view...

Home sweet home, I suppose....

The walk home was somewhat...quiet. Actually, it was very quiet. The only sounds that broke the air of silence around them were the soft clicking of hooves against the pavement, and the occasional awkward attempt at saying something from the man standing next to her. And, about halfway through the walk, he stopped trying.

She didn't mind though. It was nice, really. Being able to be outside as it was growing dark, not having to think much about anything and being able to enjoy the night air.

Well.

Okay.

She wasn't not thinking about much. She was thinking about the person walking next to her, awkwardly holding her hand and carrying the small amount of things she owned in the other hand. She couldn't quite figure out what was going on in his head, couldn't quite figure out what to think of him at all, really.

His house, their house, didn't seem to provide many clues either. The hallway (where she was asked to stay for a few minutes while he hurriedly cleaned up the guest room), was much like the rest of the apartment. Bookshelves lining the walls, all filled with thick books and artifacts from around the world. And as he came back to show her to her new room, hands wringing together and words stumbling over themselves, she still didn't know what to think.

As she slowly took in the room after he left (after much hesitant asking if she wanted anything), she still was left with no idea of what to think. Oh well. The lights clicked off as she crawled under the covers, the room becoming mostly dark once her feet and fingers were hidden.

That's what tomorrow is for, after all.

The first few weeks were...awkward. It was clear that Angra hadn't been around children very much, though he tried his hardest to make things work. Things were usually quiet, though that didn't seem to bother either of them. He was slowly learning, becoming better at getting things geared more towards children, though she was compromising at trying her best at understanding what was around the apartment.

She was getting to know her history pretty well, at least.

And he seemed to have gotten a good grasp on the concept of breakfast cereal, though bed time stories were a bit beyond him. She usually ended up getting a chapter read to her out of one of his books.

She didn't quite understand most of the words he said, though.

Daddy?

Samil meets one of her biological 'parents'.
And it might be interesting.

The month of June was...slightly less awkward than May. They had both gotten used to each other's presence and had settled into a routine by that point. Aside from that, June was somewhat uneventful. However, Samil did meet with another child from the same place she came from, and went back to meet with one of her biological parents.
(conclusions of these will be added when they get finished o3o)
