There was a slight rumble from within the den as Fantasia stirred. His dreams, normally so peaceful, at times grew sour with unspoken whispers, like an invisible and cold claw was pointing down upon him and Terabithia - like the signal of war as terrible bands of wolves suddenly swarmed about them, all fangs and claws and sightless eyes. And he saw his comrades there as well, fighting tooth and nail to defend their home and yet being swept up in the sea of black and red. A blue moon shined over them - one so much like the marking upon his brow that he wondered at its meaning, at least in its glow. A white rose wilted and died beneath, its spark of life sapped in the wake of chaos.

Needless to say, Fanta was startled awake by Chantily's voice, and if wolves could sweat he would have had to wipe his brow. It was just a matter of alpha anxiety, yes? Of course . . . Perhaps most went through their own troubles once they became responsible for many lives. This was natural. A dream and nothing more. But dreams could still be quite disturbing in their ambiguity, especially for a wolf that so heartily believed in faith . . .

"I am available," the ginger and gray wolf said after a short pause to collect himself, and stretched. "One moment." This was no time to be thinking the thoughts of sleep when there was still much to do. Yawning, Fantasia strode towards the entrance of the den to greet her and - "Ah, good afternoon, Chantily, Cyclops," he told them with a nod in each direction. Then his eyes rested upon the dainty pale figure before him. "And who is this?"

Chantily backed away as Fantasia revealed himself, head and forelimbs lowering themselves in respect before she spoke - the better to impart on this pale newcomer the proper respect one should give the Alpha's of her pack. "It is an afternoon Grand Master, whether it is good or not has yet to be seen" She told him in a tone which suggested that she was joking with him in her own fashion, though it was doubtful the others present would pick up on it. While she watched and served the pack with unswerving loyalty and tenacity it could hardly be said that Chantily was given to pointless social interactions - and as such did not spend enough time getting to know her fellows outside of what was necessary for business.

"I found this wolf along the thornwall a short time ago" She explained "She has expressed an interest in receiving sanctuary" She told him with a brief look at the pink wolf - just what they needed another timid creature to look after. What they needed was warriors! Strong wolves capable of battling the evils they would eventually face.

Persephone was pretty sure she was supposed to follow suit and mimic Chantily's actions but that just felt awkward and she was pretty sure she'd muck it up somehow and so she settled for ducking her head in a respectable fashion - as her mother had taught her to do as a youth before giving the tan and grey wolf a dazzling warm look which seemed to speak of spring rains and summer flowers all at the same time. Persephone tried to effect the vision of a dignified lady but even at the best of times she came across as more of a youthful spirit.

"I was looking at the flowers" She told the wolf before her, he reminded her of her father - strong and sturdy...though he lacked the wild danger of the wolf in the woods. Once more she decided to keep that to herself. "My mother is somewhere behind me, we have been traveling for a long long while, from a meadow below the mountains. We seek a kind pack with good morals and was old such a pack resided in this vicinity" She told him truthfully.

Cyclops performed an action closer to Persephone's nod. He had been told it was proper to bow before the Grand Master and Mistress, but in his sighted days he had never seen the sort of formal bow performed by the wolves in this pack -- apparently everyone had so far felt too embarrassed to correct the blind wolf.

He flicked one ear back as he listened to Chantily speak. She had the sort of humor he heard from warriors who had spent too much of their lives fighting; a dry wit that kept one from going crazy in the face of too many tragedies. It sounded strange coming from a female, but he would never say so.

He felt a need to defend the female's truthfulness before the alpha. "She desires a home... Master," he said quietly. It was difficult for him to say the word, though he felt great respect for Fantasia. It was hard to forget an older life, where the masters were not so benevolent.
