The little green foal blinked in surprise when he felt her tongue on his face. Did she just...no. No couldn't be. He shook his head at the sound of her bells and tore off after her. "I can get'cha!"
Crescendo sprinted happily, working hard to keep on her heels and catch up to her. Following the sound of her bells, he banked after her and leapt over the log buzzing his wings as much as he could to try and keep airborne and instead just stumbled to the ground just behind her.

Rondel laughed as she watched him leap over the log. His little wings had tried so hard, but it just hadn't been enough. The play of light as they fluttered though made her slow up just a bit and watch. It wasn't until he landed that she remembered she needed to put on speed again.
"Maybe you can, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna make it easy~" she called back to him ducking through a hedge and breaking into a clearing. "Ohh..." she said stopping in awe to look around.

Crescendo quickly scrambled back to his feet, bolting after her again. He was enjoying the ringing coming from her bells as she ran. It was absolutely beautiful and the brief glimpses of light flickering off the bells were just adding to it to make everything perfect.
"Almost there!!" He belted out, skidding to a stop and slamming into her as they broke into the clearing. "Wooow....what is this? I've never seen this before..."

Rondel grunted as he ran into her moving a few steps forward. "I dunno. I was gonna ask you, since you live around here." she stepped out from the shadows of the trees and into the sunlight. She stretched out her neck towards the warmth and light loving the feel of it on her skin. "So nice..." she said. "Its so cold under the trees sometimes....nice to be in the sun again." she said more to herself than Crescendo. "Reminds me of home..." she said.

He followed her into the light, stretching out as well and smiled. "Mmm nice and cozy here...just like sleepin' against momma." He looked around happily, taking a few steps out to further explore the area. "So pretty...like you and momma..."
Crescendo tilted his head and turned to look back at her again. "Home? What home? Where? What's it like? Tell me?"

Rondel blushed again. "Thanks..." she said looking down at the ground staring at her hooves for a moment until she felt normal. "I think your really cute." she said.
She quickly cleared her throat before latching on the questions about home. "Oh, I live on the plains normally. Its all open to the sky, and really flat. You can see forever out there. Although there are small groves of trees that are full of fruit and berries usually close to the water." she laughed suddenly at a memory. "I remember this one time Momma and I found one and it was the best thing I ever saw. We spent the whole day there dancing and playing...It was the first time Momma told me she loved me..." she finished quietly.

Crescendo blinked back at her. She loved him? Like momma loved him? Was that possible? Shaking his head, he smiled back at her again. "I love you too~!"
He listened to her story as he happily pranced around the clearing, buzzing his wings in the warm light every so often. The places she was talking about sounded lovely and amazing to go to, but he had never left the forest and figured he'd probably never see those places.
"Could you take me there? If I wanted to go--wait...your momma didn't love you..?"

Rondel pranced a bit her bells ringing. She hadn't expected him to say that, but she oddly didn't mind at all. In fact it made her excited, like she wanted to dance all day. She wondered if this was how Momma had felt about Papa.
"Sure, I could if you wanted to go~" she said with a smile. She drooped a bit. "Well...Momma wasn't there at first when my brother and sister and me popped out of our baskets...she'd gone far away." she paused for a moment. "So I went to find her all by myself one day. She was surprised to see me, and that was just the first time she said it." she finished with a nod.

He nodded and turned to look back at her. "So she said it more than that too~? That's good! My momma loves me lots too, and she alllllways tells me!" He stated happily. He giggled and bounded back over to her, nudging her gently. "I wanna go see it! I've never been out of the forest!"

Rondel brightened a bit and nudged him back. "Yeah she did. She loved me lots."
She smiled and stepped into the center of the clearing again and swayed a bit starting a rhythm with her bells as she looked up watching a pair of birds over head. "I've been lots of places. In the mountains, the plains, I've even been to a scary swamp. The world is a big place, and its full of great stuff." she smiled and looked back at him. "It would be fun to have someone to go with me." she smiled brightly at him.

He smiled happily and ran over to join her, stopping to stand at her side and look up as well. "Ya sure? I can really go with you? Ohhh...that sounds like so much fun! Let's go!" He said, bouncing slightly and nudging her. "We get to explore and see everything and go other places and meet others and ouuu...."

"I don't know why not? Only you should ask your Momma. Be a better foal than me and not wander away without askin'...Poor Momma..." she sighed. "I'll find her and make it all up to her." she said with a firm nod.
She gently touched her nose to the side of his face. "We would have lots a fun." she said. "I could take ya to the swamp, and up into the mountains from how I got here. Its really pretty up there, cold though, but you can see everything."

He smiled again happily, gently bumping his nose against hers. "I dunno where momma is right now or I would ask....I think she went to go explore some more and get more food. She's gone a long time when she does that. I miss her lots..." He trailed off and looked down at his front legs and feet quietly, wings buzzing softly again.

Rondel leaned against him reassuringly. "Well we can wait. No rush. Looks like lots to look at around here." she smiled. "And I'll keep you company." she smiled. "I can show you something sorta neat." she grinned.

Crescendo looked back at her curiously, wondering what there was that he hadn't seen yet. "Yeah? ...is it another like us? A home of theirs? Someplace far away? Someplace close by? What is it~?" He questioned eagerly, bouncing a bit again and wanting to know more than anything.
"Take me! I want to see everything you know of that I don't!" He blurted out, nudging her again back toward the heavy brush of the forest.
